The U.S. Army has completed yet another document outlining how it’s preparing for, if not permanent war, at least for a permanent state of confrontation with Russia and China, in the name of “deterring” “great power conflict.” The document, entitled “The Army in Military Competition: Chief of Staff Paper #2” (Chief of Staff Paper #1 was “Army Multi-Domain Transformation, released and reported last week), makes the case for the service’s role in great power competition short of war with Russia and China.”Winning matters," the document says, " and a streak of continual successes in activities from humanitarian assistance to combat operations makes a powerful statement."“I want all readers to understand that military competition is an ‘infinite game,’” Army Chief of Staff Gen. James McConville wrote in the preface. “We can define winning in competition in many ways: deterring conflict, upholding our interests, remaining the security partner of choice, keeping allies and partners free from coercion and subversion, and discouraging adversaries from malign actions because they know that these acts will not succeed. What we must remember is a win today is an opening for new competition activities tomorrow.” In other words, competition is neverending. War, in fact, if it comes to that, is just one form of competition in a continuum of competitions. “Military activities during competition can be either defensive or offensive; lethal or non-lethal; unilateral or multilateral; employ conventional, irregular, and special operations forces from each of the military services in multiple domains,” McConville argues. “Armed conflict is one element of … the competition continuum”—which includes even “general state conflict.” A constant component of the “continuum of competition” is the “narrative”, and in that narrative, reputation is everything. “A reputation for strength and reliability is a significant competitive benefit that might cause adversaries to seek less ambitious objectives or, in some instances, to choose not to compete at all and seek cooperation instead,” the document reads. “The Army contributes to narrative competition by being a lethal, competent, credible force and being recognized as such by key audiences among allies and partners as well as adversaries,” the paper states. “Simply being a world-class force and demonstrating that quality through successful operations conducted in a manner consistent with institutional values fosters a positive reputation for the U.S. Army,” the document goes on. For the Army, “maintaining high standards and being a partner of choice for military education, exercises, capacity building and equipment sales” is important to winning in narrative competition, according to the paper. The document is clearly an exercise in self-delusion, among other things, in that it makes no reference to the fact that Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and Libya are all in chaos as a result of U.S. or U.S.-led military interventions. No narrative will cover these failures with a story of a “competent, credible force” though it has proven to be lethal to an untold number of civilians.

The dire situation in Syria is becoming one of the critical junctures in the intensifying battle between the genocidal policies of the British Empire and a new paradigm based on peace through development. After ten years of warfare in Syria, instigated and orchestrated by the Obama Administration with the intention of bombing it into oblivion, arming terrorists to destroy its social and political structure, assassinating its head of state, and looting its raw materials—i.e., precisely what George W. Bush did in Iraq and Obama did in Libya—the nation is teetering on the brink of Hell. Ninety percent of the population has fallen into poverty (the highest rate in the world). There are mile-long queues for a loaf of bread or a gallon of gasoline, and electricity availability in Damascus is down to three hours a day. Although fighting is largely over, millions of refugees are unable to return home, due to unilateral US sanctions which prevent any reconstruction. President Trump’s expressed intention to end the illegal and evil war were fully rejected by the military leaders who supposedly took orders from the Commander-in-Chief. The only reason Syria even survives as a sovereign state is because Russia intervened, joining in a war against the terrorists and defending the sovereign government under President Bashar al-Assad.On Monday, the UN Security Council held a forum on the situation in Syria, in which the evil of the war party was on full display. Speaking for war and genocide was Biden’s Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who, as Deputy Secretary of State under Obama, advocated all out war and regime change against Assad. At the UN he had the gall to shed a tear for the “urgent needs of the Syrian people that we’ve heard described so eloquently today. It’s clear that those needs, including having enough to eat,and access to medicine, are not going to be met by the Assad regime.” Not a soul at that meeting was unaware that the US sanctions are intended to be certain that Assad is unable to feed his people. As Col. (retired) Richard Black told the Schiller Institute conference on March 21, “Sanctions do nothing but attack the innocent, the poor, the helpless! They are the most cruel and barbaric type of warfare that we can wage.” Responding to Blinken from Russia was Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin: “The reaction of Washington and Brussels to the call of the UN Secretary General to ease and lift unilateral sanctions amid the coronavirus pandemic was, on the contrary, to tighten in an unprecedented way the restrictions adopted—bypassing the UN Security Council—including the introduction of the infamous Caesar Act in June 2020. Unfortunately, the honorable representative of the US and other Western colleagues spoke about a lot of things in today’s speeches but not the US and EU sanctions and their dramatic negative effect on ordinary Syrians.” How can a nation claiming to be concerned with human rights impose, through sanctions and war, the starvation of millions of children in Syria and Yemen? How can a nation which has killed millions of innocent Muslims in order to achieve “regime change” in Iraq, Libya, and Syria, then claim moral purity about Islam by declaring China guilty of “genocide” against the Uighurs—as both Pompeo and Blinken have done—when any one of their representativs need only travel to Xinjiang to see that it is a total lie? There has been a drastic failure of morality in the transatlantic world—failing to counter the pandemic’s course of death, failure of compassion for the victims of their wars and sanctions, failure to address the most profound human rights, those of poverty and starvation, even within their own countries. The Schiller Institute and the LaRouche Organization are creating the institutional means through which political leaders and concerned citizens can, and must, act to reverse this evil, and inspire the world to restore the dignity of man through international cooperation to restore a love of science, of beauty, of Classical culture and human progress. The Malthusian Green New Deal can, and must, be defeated. Download and circulate the pamphlet “The Great Leap Backward—LaRouche Crushes the ‘Green New Deal’ Fraud.”

Nervous traders watch Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, as yet another hedge fund threatens to unleash huge losses, due to a bet gone bad. The unravelling of speculative positions held by Archegos, triggered over $6 billion in losses, hitting major banks which were lenders to the firm. Will the Fed keep interest rates low, to allow the speculative binge to continue indefinitely? And what will happen if they finally admit that inflation is eating away the value of the dollar? Never fear, the Biden administration is preparing to boost the Green Financial Bubble with $3 trillion in a fake infrastructure bill. Whatever happened to real economics?
|
The renamed “Biden-Harris Administration” will next call for passage of a $1.5 trillion “green infrastructure and jobs” bill, of which $400 billion will fund vast new wind farms and solar parks, on land and on sea; and the rest presumably miscellaneous transportation infrastructure. And then—another, immediate $1.5 trillion bill for support of families, etc.Because the wind and solar installations will continue to crowd out, and facilitate the shutdown of, superior, more power-dense and more reliable electric power infrastructure, they are not “new infrastructure” as far as the U.S. physical economy is concerned; they are infrastructure destruction. This is the “Green New Deal,” although Biden won’t say the words yet. If not stopped and reversed it will destroy the United States’ remaining industrial economy in the name of Malthusian reduction of human numbers to “save the planet.” Every industrial and farming process forming CO₂ will be targeted and cut. The LaRouche Organization and the Schiller Institute are fighting this Green New Deal, in the United States and around the world. The Schiller Institute with its conferences and publications is rallying against it especially in developing countries, where “green finance” out of the City of London and Wall Street is moving to shut down coal and stop nuclear power in power-short nations. This will compound the pandemic disease and economic collapse of the past year and cause millions of people to die. The LaRouche Organization’s pamphlet for mass circulation, “The Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Crushes the ‘Green New Deal’ Fraud,” had its first run yesterday. It is timed to expose and stop this “new green way of infrastructure” as Sen. Chuck Schumer called the $1.5 trillion anti-infrastructure package. Get copies from The LaRouche Organization and mobilize with them. The United States should join against this Malthusian policy with the other high-technology major powers, China and Russia, and cooperate in power-dense nuclear and fusion technologies, space exploration, and capital exports for South American, African, Asian development. This “Green New Deal” bill is only part of a spree of hyperinflationary money printing which makes Germany’s central bank printing in the early 1920s pale by comparison. If Biden succeeds in passing these next two “stimulus” bills at $1.5 trillion each, the money printing since March 2020 will reach $9 trillion borrowed against taxes by the Treasury, plus $5 trillion added to bank reserves by the Federal Reserve, in less than 18 months. Large volumes of the Treasury securities issued are bought by primary dealer megabanks and sold quickly to the Federal Reserve—along with other kinds of securities—which credits electronic excess reserves to those banks’ accounts at the Fed. The big banks use those excess reserves to do additional money printing of their own, by buying and trading securities and by making loans. All this while avoiding any investment in raising the productivity of work in the economy, avoiding any investment in new technology, or actually more productive infrastructure. In the past 11 months the U.S. banking system’s outstanding loans and leases to businesses and households have decreased, while their securities holdings and deposits have risen by $4 trillion and $3 trillion, respectively—according to Federal Reserve data! And the government spending has been completely non-productive, concentrated on raising household spending only. This hyperinflation policy has two purposes: To inflate away large amounts of the now-$280 trillion in global debt, which has grown by $75 trillion under the central banks’ hands since the 2008 crash; and to pour huge amounts of new currency, including by government spending and taxing, into wind and solar energy companies and makers of “zero carbon” substitutes for agriculture and all the most important productive branches of industry. If this hyper-speculation is combined with a Green New Deal “great leap backward” in technologies of industry, farming and ranching, the United States economy will be ruined. Only its military power will remain, and its confrontation with China and Russia will turn to global war. That must be prevented. The LaRouche Organization’s mass pamphlets and the Schiller Institute’s series of international conferences are the focal points to prevent it, and achieve a new paradigm of cooperation for economic development instead.

Joe Biden and Boris Johnson must believe their populations are so brainwashed that they would accept a multi-trillion dollar bailout of financial speculators as a "program to rebuild infrastructure". But that is precisely what the upcoming "Climate" conferences are about, creating momentum behind the Great Reset -- which would establish a global central banker dictatorship -- and the global Green New Deal, which would lead to a drastic reduction of world population. The greatest fear of the Davos billionaires is that the people can be awakened to reject these policies, and that an alliance between the U.S., Russia and China will adopt LaRouche's program for a New Bretton Woods, based on fixed exchange rates, regulated banking -- i.e., no bailouts or bail-ins -- and investment in physical economic production, not mountains of credit to corrupt speculators.

Have you been duped about China? Harley Schlanger calls out the blatant lies about China by the British Empire and their pawns in the Biden and former Trump administration. The British, Antony Blicken, and Mike Pompeo don't care about "human rights" in the Xinjiang province in China anymore than they "care" about the environment. What they fear is the rational, scientific approach to economy outlined clearly by Lyndon LaRouche throughout his life, which is now being carried out by China's Belt and Road Initiative.

Through the daily din of saber-rattling against China and Russia, and the chaos and death of the spreading pandemic in most of the world, and Wall Street’s shrill cries for green depopulation, voices for sanity and development are being raised around the world—and they are being heard. They are, in fact, echoes of the voice of Lyndon LaRouche and his living movement. From China, the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, Hua Chunying, today tweeted in English: “Hear the voices of true scholars,” followed by this link: which is the first page of the call initiated by Helga Zepp-LaRouche of experts from all over the world demanding a policy of cooperation, not confrontation, with China. That call concludes: “The success from China’s emphasis on science and technological progress and innovation, demonstrate that China is doing well with what we in the West have seemingly forgotten, and we would do better to respond to the offer of cooperation, than seeking confrontation. We should better take up the view of the great philosopher and founder of modern mathematics, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, and in a Dialogue of Cultures find a way to solve the crises challenging all of Humanity.” Spoken and heard. Likewise from Syria, a lawyer wrote to the Schiller Institute after having listened to former Virginia state Senator Richard Black’s courageous call for the United States to abandon decades of criminal British geopolitics and help develop Southwest Asia with infrastructure—as China is doing. “As a Syrian citizen, I cannot say or add any word to the presentation of Sen. Black,” the appreciative lawyer wrote, “except to thank you very much, as an institute and people who are in charge of it, for this deep and wonderful video that comes from the heart of the country that caused all these disasters to Syria and the region.” Spoken and heard. And in less than a month, President Biden will team up with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to try to impose the City of London’s policy of green genocide on the entire planet, at the April 22-23 Leaders Summit on Climate. But for the full month, The LaRouche Organization will be on the airwaves and (where possible) on the streets of the country, with LaRouche’s human alternative presented in the pamphlet “The Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Crushes Green New Deal Fraud.” The survival of every one of the 40 countries whose heads of state and government have been invited to that summit, in fact depends on the rejection of the green new deal, and on hearing the voice of Lyndon LaRouche instead.

Henry Kissinger addressed Chatham House/Royal Institute of International Affairs on March 25. It should be recalled that on May 10, 1982, on the bicentennial of the Foreign Office, Henry told Chatham House, “In my White House incarnation then, I kept the British Foreign Office better informed and more closely engaged than I did the American State Department.” Also worth recalling: Henry proudly launched genocidal wars across Southeast Asia. But nuclear war seems to concern him. The “ultimate question,” he said, is whether or not the United States and its Western allies could develop an understanding with China about a new global order. “If we don’t get to that point and if we don’t get to an understanding with China on that point then we will be in a pre-World War I-type situation in Europe, in which there are perennial conflicts that get solved on an immediate basis, but one of them gets out of control at some point,” he said. “It is infinitely more dangerous now than it was then,” Kissinger said, in the age of nuclear weapons. “A conflict between countries possessing high technology with weapons that can target themselves and that can start the conflict by themselves without some agreement of some kind of restraint cannot end well,” Kissinger warned. “And that’s an understatement.” Beijing is not “determined to achieve a world domination,” Kissinger said, but rather “they’re trying to develop the maximum capability of which their society is able.”

Join us LIVE on Sunday at 11am EDT. John Sigerson introduces Lyndon LaRouche's election eve broadcast in 1976 where he famously declared, "the election of Jimmy Carter to President of the United States on November 2nd would mean that the United States was, to all intents and purposes, irreversibly committed to thermonuclear war, no later than the summer of 1977."

March 26 -- A series of recent events has increased tensions between the nations of the Transatlantic region and China, in a way which was characterized by Schiller Institute leader Helga Zepp-LaRouche as "increasingly worrisome." Tensions were raised in the opening of a summit in Alaska between U.S. officials, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, and Chinese foreign policy officials Wang Yi, the Foreign Minister, and the Director of the Central Committee for Foreign Affairs Yang Jiechi, as Blinken read through a standard laundry list of allegations against China, leading to a sharp counter from the Chinese.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry’s powerful endorsement on March 26 of the “Declaration Of China Experts from All Over the World,” drafted by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, as well as the appearance of the Chinese Consul General in New York Huang Ping at the Schiller Institute Conference on March 20, further demonstrates the absolutely critical importance of the work of this organization in preventing a degeneration into nuclear war between the world’s two largest economies. The Minstry’s Spokeswoman Hua Chunying referred to the Declaration as a “rational and just voice of visionary people in the world,” which “condemns and rejects the crazy words and deeds of the Western anti-China forces that wantonly attack, smear and even crafted rumors against China in disregard of facts.” Will Americans and Europeans again mindlessly accept wild lies about another country, which allowed the unleashing of absolute Hell in the Arab world through genocidal wars under Bush, Blair and Obama? The lies about Iraq’s “weapons of mass destruction” are mild compared to the incredible fabrications about the condition of the Uyghurs in Xinjiang, even describing as “genocide” what is in fact an economic and social miracle which has transformed the entire region from abject poverty into a thriving center for international trade and development, lifting every single resident out of poverty. Not one death has been demonstrated by the accusers, nor have any visited the region, which is open to anyone who wishes to see for themselves. Henry Kissinger—certainly not one to shy away from launching wars, as he did across Southeast Asia—nonetheless should be taken seriously when he tells his mentees at London’s Chatham House, as he did March 25: “If we don’t get an understanding with China [for a new global order], then we will be in a pre-World War I-type situation,” in which geopolitical conflicts are allowed to proliferate, until “one of them gets out of control at some point. It is infinitely more dangerous now than it was then.” China is no longer calmly waiting for the lies and illegal sanctions and threats to end. Yang Jiechi, China’s leading diplomat, read Secretary of State Antony Blinken the Riot Act at their public confrontation in Anchorage March 19, exposing the demand that China follow the “established rules of law” as the rules of a dictatorship which has blatantly broken all the actual “international laws” established after World War II, largely by Franklin Roosevelt and his associates, meant to never again allow a lawless fascist state to threaten the human race. In response to the sanctions imposed on China last week, over the imagined mistreatment of the Uighurs, China has imposed sanctions on individuals, parliamentarians and institutions in the EU, U.K., the U.S. and Canada. Meanwhile, Russia and China have reaffirmed their “Strategic Partnership,” while 140 nations have joined China’s Belt and Road Initiative—40 in Sub-Saharan Africa; 34 in Europe and Central Europe (including 18 EU countries); 25 in East Asia and the Pacific; 17 in Southwest Asia; 18 in Ibero-America and the Caribbean; and 6 in Southeast Asia. These are nations being liberated from the stranglehold of the IMF-World Bank “conditionalities” which have maintained neo-colonial control long past the end of formal colonialism, imposing “enforced backwardness” through financial dictates. The senile President Joe Biden on Mach 26 told British Prime Minister Boris Johnson that he wants to build his own “Belt and Road Initiative” to counter China—but only for “democracies!” These are facts which can no longer be ignored. The degeneration of society in the trans-Atlantic, from economic decay, the uncontrolled pandemic, cultural perversity, and a financial bubble ready to burst, is confronting its leaders with a choice—they can reform along the lines of Lyndon LaRouche’s program for international collaboration for peace through development, or they will march their deluded populations into annihilation through nuclear war. This organization’s exposure of the lies of the Anglo-American establishment over these past fifty years has reached a new stage. On Monday, March 29, we are releasing a mass pamphlet based on the EIR Special Report published last month: “Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Exposes the Green New Deal.” The weekly EIR magazines will carry the transcripts of the historic March 20-21 Schiller Institute Conference. We are experiencing the greatest threat to civilization in modern history, perhaps the greatest since the Black Death of 14th-century Europe and Asia. It can only be reversed through a positive offensive based on ending the power of Empire once and for all, bringing the great nations and cultures of the world together for a new Renaissance. LaRouche’s organization is key to that success.

Before the end of March, The LaRouche Organization will release its first print run of thousands of copies of its mass circulation, 55-page report, “The Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Crushes the ‘Green New Deal’ Fraud.” This comes at a moment of great urgency, given the imminent blow-out of the dead monetarist system, the war danger, and the push for Doomsday, green “Great Reset” policies. This new report initiative in the U.S. feeds into the momentum shown by the dialogue at the March 20-21 international Schiller Institute conference—still reverberating ever more widely, which is in the direction of the “peace through development” path, for a world at the crossroads.Special expression of prospects for taking the right path comes from international co-sponsors joining Schiller Institute president Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s statement, released March 21 at the conference, titled, “Declaration of China Experts from All Over the World.” Today, the statement was recognized in Beijing at the Foreign Ministry press briefing by Ministry Department of Information Department Director Hua Chunying. She was asked by a CCTV reporter, referring to the Declaration appearing in France, “What is China’s comment on this?” Hua replied at some length, beginning, "We have taken note of the statement. We believe that it represents and reflects the rational and just voice of the international community, and it is also a condemnation and opposition to the crazy words and deeds of some Western anti-China forces over time, such as disregarding the facts and attacking China, and even falsely slandering. “I note that the co-signers of the statement have hundreds of experiences or objective observations of China, dwelling with, or having lived and worked in China, or who have frequently travelled and stayed in China for long periods of time. Many of them have witnessed China’s great achievements since the reform and opening-up, and observed up close the Chinese government’s ‘people-centered Chinese’ ruling philosophy, lifting up more than 800 million people out of extreme poverty, and recently witnessed the victory of 1.4 billion Chinese people in the fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic. I think their statement proves once again, that what they see is true….” [Full remarks below]. Madame Hua’s words are all the more noteworthy, given that they came in the same, super-hot briefing in which the Ministry took the gloves off, when it comes to the latest revelations of how the “issue” of Uighur human rights violations was deliberately concocted from the start, as an internal destabilization against China and its government. The briefing began with a showing of a 2018 video clip of Col. Lawrence Wilkerson (ret.), former chief of staff to U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, in which he gave three reasons why U.S. troops are in Afghanistan, including: “The third reason we have troops in Afghanistan is that there are 20 million Uighurs in Xinjiang, China. The best way for the CIA to destabilize China is to create unrest in China. If the CIA can take advantage of these Uighurs and work with them to keep stimulating Beijing, it will not need external forces to bring down China directly from within.” It should be noted that Wilkerson, since leaving government, has been an outspoken opponent of the “endless wars,” and he was speaking at the anti-war Ron Paul Institute, so his words were more an exposure of U.S. bad actions rather than a “confession” by an insider to those bad acts. Hua, nonetheless, drew out the significance of this exposure, summarizing that, “Facts have proved time and again that the Xinjiang issue is not a national, religious or human rights issue, but an anti-secession, anti-riot, anti-intervention issue,” and that the United States had concocted other stories and conducted destabilizations elsewhere, including in Iraq and Syria. She confronted the media for their retailing of lies and false information. Otherwise, there are expressions elsewhere of sanity in the pushback against the anti-China, anti-Russia geopolitics, and against the green reset agenda. This week the United States-China Agriculture Roundtable held two of four planned sessions (online) co-hosted by the U.S. Heartland-China Association, based in Missouri and covering the Central States. The speakers—government, business and farm commodity leaders—called for continued, expanded win-win trade and good relations between the two countries, and spoke in depth about dairy, pork and soybeans. Leaders of the sister states of Hebei and Iowa stressed economic ties, and their special friendship history, which includes personal visits to Iowa by President Xi Jinping, going back to 1985. Keynote speakers, including former Missouri Gov. Bob Holden, founder of the USDCA in 2003, declared there must be “collaboration not confrontation.” In Europe, seven of the EU nations have issued an open letter in support of nuclear power, which goes against the current green rule book for the future. What the Schiller Institute conference process of dialogue provides is the positive concept—beyond rearguard defense—of contributing to limitless advance of mankind and the universe. This is embodied in the concrete programs, as presented at last weekend’s sessions, for the North American/Western Hemisphere Belt and Road Initiative, and projects for Southwest Asia. In his current week-long tour of the region, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in Iran today, stressed that 19 countries in the greater Southwest Asia region are now part of the Belt and Road Initiative. Schiller Institute President Helga Zepp-LaRouche gave the overview, in her remarks concluding last weekend’s conference. The overriding necessity, she said, is a global Glass-Steagall breakup of banks and multinational financial creations, and a “New Bretton Woods” international credit system. The path forward.

Today the regular Friday briefing by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs was an extraordinarily hot occasion, in which U.S. policy, the CIA in particular, was called out for conspiracy to create the Uyghur human rights “issue” in Xinjiang with deliberate intent to contain China, and similar frauds were concocted and carried out in Iraq and Syria. Spokeswoman Hua Chunying, director of the ministry’s Department of Information, conducted the proceedings. Before the regular press briefing began, a video of Daniel Dumbrill was shown, delivering remarks at an event titled, “Genocide in Xinjiang,” shown on a Discovery Zoom Panel. Then Hua Chunying announced, “I’d like to show you one more short video,” and played a clip of Col. Lawrence Wilkerson (ret.). Below is her full statement, taken from the Ministry posting today. Note that, during the tense Q&A which followed, she expressed special appreciation for the statement released on March 23 by Schiller Institute President Helga Zepp-LaRouche and international co-signers, “Declaration of China Experts from all over the World.” HUA CHUNYING: “We’ve just watched this video clip together. I wonder what you think of it. The speaker is Lawrence Wilkerson, former chief of staff to former Secretary of State Colin Powell and retired U.S. Army Colonel. He was speaking at the Ron Paul Institute in August 2018 on the threefold purposes of the U.S. presence in Afghanistan, one of which is to contain China. He said undisguisedly that ‘the third reason we were there [in Afghanistan] is because there are 20 million Uyghurs [in Xinjiang]. The CIA would want to destabilize China and that would be the best way to do it, to foment unrest and to join with those Uighurs in pushing the Han Chinese in Beijing from internal places rather than external.’ [Note that Wilkerson and the Ron Paul Institute are outspokenly opposed to the”endless wars," and he was likely not “confessing” to bad acts, but “exposing” the bad acts of others. Hua’s words are nonetheless deadly accurate—ed.] “Doesn’t it feel like a déjà vu? In an April 2019 speech at Texas A&M University, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo boasted, ‘we lied, we cheated, we stole. … We had entire training courses. It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment.’ This is what the U.S. has said and done. “In 2003, the U.S. launched military strikes against Iraq on the grounds that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, causing hundreds of thousands of casualties and more than 1 million homeless. Years later, the U.S. admitted that the evidence of Iraq’s holding weapons of mass destruction was nothing more than a small tube of white laundry powder. “In 2018, the U.S., the U.K., France and some other countries launched air strikes on Syria, claiming that the Syrian government forces used chemical weapons against the Syrian people. The air strikes led to hundreds of thousands of casualties and displacement of innocent civilians. But the evidence of the so-called use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government turned out to be nothing more than a staged video directed by the White Helmets, a group funded by U.S. and U.K. intelligence agencies. “In 2019, during the disturbance over proposed legislative amendments in Hong Kong, the CIA worked hand in glove with National Endowment for Democracy to sponsor, instigate and even commanded anti-China, destabilizing forces in Hong Kong to launch vandalizing, looting and arson attacks, and storm the Legislative Council building in the name of fighting for democracy and freedom in an attempt to spark a ‘color revolution’ in Hong Kong . “Now, the U.S. and its several Western allies are targeting the pure and white Xinjiang cotton. They imposed sanctions on relevant Chinese individuals and entity over the false accusation of the sensational ‘crimes’ of ‘forced labor,’ ‘forced sterilization’ and even ‘genocide’ in Xinjiang. “However, as admitted by the former U.S. official in the video clip you watched, the so-called Uyghur issue in Xinjiang is just a strategic conspiracy with an attempt to disrupt China from within and contain China. In this ‘play’ staged by the U.S., some politicians and media outlets in the U.S. and its ally countries played a very disgraceful role. Some of them colluded with anti-China forces to scrupulously pursue rumor-mongering and smearing campaigns against China with unfounded pretexts. And some, out of ideological prejudice, would rather believe in lies concocted by a handful of anti-China elements than listen to the voice of the 25 million people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang and face squarely the basic facts of development and progress in Xinjiang. They are full of righteous indignation in ‘defending’ human rights in Xinjiang by citing some so-called ‘credible’ witnesses or information. Now, after watching this video of Lawrence Wilkerson, will they believe in the words of their government official or continue to trust those clumsy actors of the play? “Facts have proved time and again that the Xinjiang issue is by no means about ethnicity, religion or human rights, but an issue of fighting separatism, terrorism and interference. The U.S. has crafted the so-called Xinjiang issue, not because it cares for the Uyghur people. Otherwise, why did it attack Muslim countries under the pretext of counter-terrorism following the September 11 attack, leading to deaths and family separations of tens of millions of Muslims? And why did they put in place the one and only ‘Muslim ban’ in the world and discriminate against and persecute Muslims and other ethnic minorities in the U.S.? Their true intention is to undermine China’s security and stability and stop China from growing stronger. “We solemnly inform the U.S. side that today’s China is neither Iraq nor Syria, still less the late Qing Dynasty downtrodden by the Eight-Power Allied Forces. China is open and above board. All malicious lies and rumors against China will fall apart before facts and truths. We have full resolution, determination and capability to firmly defend national sovereignty, security, dignity and honor. “My friends, I believe you will make a clean cut with all the lies and disinformation about Xinjiang after watching this video clip. Let the curtain fall on this U.S.-staged play.”

How is Biden's policy toward China, as seen in last week's "summit", different from Trump's approach to U.S.-China relations? What is behind German Chancellor Merkel's recent vacillation related to COVID lock-downs, and why is Europe so far behind in vaccinations? What is the relationship between an American System economic approach, as exemplified in FDR's New Deal, and pursuit of peaceful, cooperative relationships with other nations? And how do you approach organizing others on complex issues, such as nuclear power, when there is so much anti-nuclear propaganda to sort through?
|
In one sense the central strategic issue of the day, that question does not yet have a certain answer. And as it is being fought out, Helga Zepp-LaRouche warned in her weekly webcast yesterday, “the strategic situation is becoming increasingly worrisome, because you have a real collapse of relations between the U.S. and Russia, the U.S. and China, the EU and China. So all of this forebodes nothing good, and needs some urgent change in direction.”Is it President Joe Biden who speaks for the United States? Not according to the President himself, who yesterday announced that he was naming VP Kamala Harris to head up border issues for the administration, and that “when she speaks, she speaks for me, doesn’t have to check with me.” A few weeks earlier he had similarly given Secretary of State Tony Blinken carte blanche, and told the world that what Blinken says is American policy. World leaders are well aware that Biden can scarcely carry a thought all the way across a room, let alone navigate through the most complex economic and strategic crisis in centuries. If not Biden, is it then Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who have spent the better part of the last two months denouncing Russia’s purported “reckless and adversarial actions,” and China’s “challenge to the rules-based order,” while imposing new criminal sanctions on both countries? Or, worse still, is it admirals Davidson and Aquilino, or the Dr. Strangelove-wannabes of the US Army’s “Multi-Domain Task Force,” who argue that “the line between conflict and peace is blurred,” and who therefore promote forward-basing US forces to surround China in the Pacific, and who openly call for the use of military power to forcibly split Taiwan from China? If such British imperial utopian policies prevail as the voice of the United States, then the trajectory towards full-scale thermonuclear war is indeed a short one. Fortunately, there are other voices and other policies being heard—emphatically including those of Lyndon LaRouche, “now through the voice of his wife, Doña Helga,” as former Mexican President López Portillo stated in 1998. Others in that international chorus of voices were also heard at last weekend’s Schiller Institute conference, putting together a global policy alternative to the bankruptcy of the trans-Atlantic financial system, which is the driving force towards war. The remarks of former state senator Richard Black stand out as another strong voice for the true United States. But the issue posed is actually a deeper one: What is that real United States? We were wise to turn to Gottfried Leibniz, one of the true founding fathers of the United States, whose philosophical concept of happiness or felicity—as diametrically opposed to the hedonist’s notion of pleasure—defined the substantive content of the Declaration of Independence as well as the General Welfare clause of the U.S. Constitution. But Leibniz also addressed the fundamental issue of foreign policy—the nature of justice in our relations with other sovereign nations—in his writings. Take the question he posed at the outset of his 1702 “Meditation on the Common Concept of Justice.” “It is agreed that whatever God wills is good and just. But there remains the question whether it is good and just because God wills it or whether God wills it because it is good and just, in other words whether justice and goodness are arbitrary or whether they belong to the necessary and eternal truths about the nature of things.” Leibniz himself answered that the former view “would destroy the justice of God. For why praise him because he acts according to justice, if the notion of justice, in his case, adds nothing to that of action… Moreover this opinion would not sufficiently distinguish God from the devil.” He emphasized that those who hold that view “have done wrong to the attributes which make God lovable, and, having destroyed the love of God, they have left only fear behind.” That distinction lies at the heart of a properly defined American foreign policy, especially in times of an existential crisis facing all mankind, when our very survival depends on achieving the general welfare of every other nation on the planet, as well as our own.

Many people think they know about the "Council on Foreign Relations", the notorious CFR, which is correctly identified as a leading agency of the "Deep State". Today we look at how the financial and corporate networks of the CFR are pushing the Green New Deal -- including through a new committee of the U.S. Federal Reserve -- to inflate a new "Green" financial bubble, while making "climate change" a weapon for undermining China's Belt-and-Road Initiative. Their goal, besides creating a new Ponzi scheme to prop up their bankrupt financial system, and pour more money into the bloated U.S. defense budget, is to cause a rapid depopulation of the planet.

The evolution of a physical system appears dominated, in the short-term, by its past behavior and by immediately neighboring components of the system. But over longer time scales, broader forces can make their influence known, and, eventually, come to dominate the system’s behavior. Although historical processes are shaped by forces acting on both the short- and the long-term, rescuing ourselves from the deadly contradiction between the dying financial system of the West and the effort to maintain the control that system conferred, requires acting immediately on a long-term perspective. The trajectory of the world political system does not look promising. Relations between Russia and the U.S. and EU are at a historic low: the U.S. President calls his Russian counterpart a killer; NATO’s raison d’être is to hype the threat of Russia; sanctions continue; and Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine is actively opposed by Brussels bureaucrats, leading to thousands of unnecessary deaths. The China policy of the U.S. and the EU is no better. U.S. policy, as expressed by military leaders (the Pacific command), government officials (Blinken), and think tanks (most recently, the Council on Foreign Relations), is one of confrontation and containment, designed to secure the unachievable aim of preventing China’s growth, both domestically and internationally. The EU has joined in and sanctioned China over what it claims are massive human rights abuses in Xinjiang. The most cursory comparison of the Chinese approach towards terrorism in Xinjiang, with the U.S.-British-NATO approach towards Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Libya, reveals how hollow are those accusations. The Council on Foreign Relations lets it all hang out. Recognizing that China’s Belt and Road Initiative is “the largest-ever global infrastructure plan, far surpassing the Marshall Plan,” they acknowledge that “China has made investing in infrastructure a high priority. The United States has not,” and that “the United States has no real alternative to offer in high speed rail or 5G.” They complain that China is breaking “rules” that the U.S. has adopted at British urging, such as providing government support for its enterprises to help them do business abroad, constructing coal power plants that produce plant food (carbon dioxide), and offering quick infrastructure financing without onerous environmental and social-impact assessments or stringent demands on repayment. What can the U.S. do to compete? The CFR proposes destroying the competition, rather than playing a useful role: “informing” countries of the traps they claim are laid by the BRI, slowing BRI projects by pushing for green oversight, and attacking the corruption they imagine is embedded in the Chinese approach. These approaches are not even wrong; their success would itself be a failure! The self-interest of the people of the world, including the United States, is diametrically opposed to what the Anglo-American financial-intelligence elite wrongly consider to be in their self-interest. The LaRouche movement, as through the Schiller Institute, has played an absolutely unique, and entirely necessary role over the past half-century in fostering the conditions for a meaningful discussion of political collaboration, economic development and human identity, guided by the economic insights and fierce determination of Lyndon and Helga LaRouche. The active pursuit of the good, and of working with others to achieve it, means establishing government policies that cohere with the growth of the productive powers of labor—both in the immediate term, through capital-intensive development of new productive processes and the laying of more advanced infrastructure platforms—and over the longer term, through government-social support for great breakthroughs in science and technology. The shocking discovery that comes of impassioned genius, the insight that comes from profound dedication, the recognition of the beauty of the human species that comes from acting to improve it—it is the shared nobility of all human beings, that divine potential, that must be nourished and unleashed to increase physical output and energy use by an order of magnitude over the coming generation or two. The Schiller Institute conference process is key to discussing, articulating and implementing the needed concepts to shape the future. The trajectory for the human species we must become, is to soar!

To participate LIVE at 9pm EDT, dial (712)770-5505, and then enter the access code 536662#. Perhaps that seems like an obvious statement, but the way Biden's "Green" policy is being discussed would suggest we've lost all connection to the English language! Though, considering Biden's condition, that may very well be the case. EIR's Paul Gallagher will visit The LaRouche Organization’s Fireside Chat tonight to discuss the present (as is occurring in Texas, California, and Mississippi) and oncoming effects of the hyperinflationary “Green” policy of the Federal Reserve and Treasury - part of which is being absurdly referred to as “Joe Biden’s infrastructure plan.”

Are you prepared to go to war, and accept brutal austerity, to support the "rules-based order", knowing the "rules" are made by the City of London financial oligarchy and their allies on Wall Street? And the "rules" are designed to protect a global banker's dictatorship, known as the "Great Reset", and a new financial bubble known as the "Green New Deal"? The latest example of British imperial arrogance is their new policy, "Defence in a Competitive Age", which commits the U.K., and their compliant American ally, to prepare "for more persistent global engagement" -- that is more "endless" wars -- to impose their new financial order.

In reviewing the aggressive diplomacy of Biden's Secretary of State Blinken in the last days, Helga Zepp LaRouche pointed to the collapse in relations between the U.S., NATO and the EU with Russia and China as an extremely "worrisome" situation. The push for a "global NATO" is fed by the ongoing lies, such as those about the alleged suppression by China of the Uyghurs and the "anti-democratic" attack on the British agent Navalny, which then become the justification for sanctions. While the west is touting its "shared democratic values" and support for a "rules-based order", the Russians and Chinese are moving closer together, as a point of opposition to the dangerous geopolitical provocations aimed at them. Mrs. LaRouche counterposed the ongoing anti-Russia, anti-China campaign with the conference held by the Schiller Institute, which was centered on a real dialogue among many nations and leading citizens seeking solutions, rather than seeking political advantage.

While Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in Brussels, pressuring the EU to enforce upon its member nations a total break from Russia and China, the British have openly announced that the British Empire is back in its full evil glory, to “counter growing threats from Russia and China.” U.K. Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, in the foreword to the new Defence Command Paper “Defence in a Competitive Age,” released on Monday, made no effort to hide his pride that the entire world is now subject to “Global Britain”—the newly-coined name for the British Empire. “Those of us in government charged to protect and defend,” he said, “have a duty to enter new domains.” The new geometry of the world, he said, his upper lip suitably stiff, demands no less from the Empire: “The notion of war and peace as binary states has given way to a continuum of conflict, requiring us to prepare our forces for more persistent global engagement and constant campaigning, moving seamlessly from operating to war fighting.” The armed forces, he added, “will no longer be held as a force of last resort, but become more present and active around the world…, whether in the Euro-Atlantic, the Indo-Pacific, or beyond.” And of course, all of this is needed “to counter growing threats from Russia and China.” Blinken, meanwhile, is fully onboard, assuring the Brits that “British brains and American brawn” will continue to defend the British Empire. Together with the EU’s Foreign Affairs High Representative Josep Borrell, Blinken is “re-launching” the U.S-EU China Dialogue, which was initiated by Mike Pompeo and Borrell last October but went dormant after the U.S election. Blinken also met with NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg, essentially agreeing that the May 1 date to pull NATO troops out of Afghanistan is off the table. Get ready for the next 20 years…. The Schiller Institute Conference this past weekend provided gruesome testimony of what these policies mean in the real world, with testimony by government officials from Yemen and Syria, and others, describing the genocide taking place in their nations as a result of the “endless wars” carried out by the Bush and Obama administrations, together with the U.S’s unilateral sanctions, leaving their people prey to both starvation and the COVID-19 virus. Yet Wallace had the gall to pronounce that “we must actively champion those shared values of liberty, justice and tolerance that have given billions of souls the world over the chance of a better life.” While this is indeed the goal of the “win-win” policies of the Belt and Road Initiative, the geopolitical policies of the Empire are fully committed to depopulation, via war, disease, and economic destruction through Green Finance, cutting off credit to the productive economy. Nor is the destruction being applied only to the nations of the South. The Biden Administration, the Boris Johnson Administration, and the EU dictators in Brussels are actively enforcing the Green New Deal, pumping trillions of dollars into a green bubble while cutting off financing for fossil fuels, industry, and agriculture, under cover of the fake science of anthropogenic climate change, powerfully refuted by Princeton University Professor Emeritus Will Happer at the Schiller Institute Conference. The Biden Administration, having succeeded in ramming through the $1.9 trillion subsidy bill, with only a fraction going to victims of the lockdowns, is now preparing a $3 trillion “infrastructure” bill, which, they acknowledge, will go primarily to wasteful green projects and climate research. The quadrillion-dollar-plus financial bubble is ready to burst into a hyperinflationary explosion, which a new “green bubble” will not be able to forestall. Russia and China are no longer holding back from identifying and denouncing this new form of the British Empire. Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Wang Yi, meeting in China this week, pledged to strengthen their strategic partnership, bluntly described the evil of the so-called “rules-based order” posed by the Empire to replace the international law agreed upon after World War II in the UN Charter. Lavrov: “We reject zero-sum geopolitical games and reject unilateral illegitimate sanctions that our Western colleagues resort to more and more often. We noted the destructive nature of the United States’ intentions to undermine the UN-centered international legal architecture, relying on military-political alliances of the Cold War era and creating new closed alliances in the same vein.” Wang Yi: “We should act as guarantors of justice in international affairs. China is ready to promote the international system established by the United Nations, protect the world order based on international law, and abide by universal values such as peace, development, justice, democracy, equality and freedom.” The only fora in existence today which is bringing people of good will together from across the globe, to create the force required to defeat the evil of the Empire, are the Schiller Institute and the associated LaRouche Organization. This was on clear display at the Schiller Institute Conference mentioned above. You owe it to yourself and your posterity to watch this event, to pass it on to others, and to join in the mobilization to pull the world away from the brink, to launch a new Renaissance for all mankind.

The threats coming from TransAtlantic Circles of the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) against Russia and China today reflect a bankruptcy in their strategic vision, which matches the bankruptcy of their global financial system. On March 23, 1983, Reagan announced to the world that he was committed to a process of peace with the USSR, based on sharing anti-missile technologies based on new physical principles, a strategy developed by Lyndon LaRouche to end the threat inherent in Kissinger's Mutual and Assured Destruction (MAD) doctrine. The USSR's rejection of Reagan's offer foredoomed their empire, which LaRouche forecast would collapse within five years! Instead of repeating that folly today, which could end in a war of MAD, we have the possibility of "win-win" cooperation, were the West to embrace, and become part of China's Belt-and-Road Initiative, based on Lyn and Helga Zepp LaRouche's design for a World Landbridge.

The Schiller Institute’s two-day international conference just concluded March 21 achieved a number of breakthroughs which no other organization is capable of having done, which are extraordinarily important in this crisis of pandemic, spreading hunger and military and social conflict. Two were most obvious. High-ranking representatives of Russia and China gave important presentations on the second, “strategic” panel of the conference, on a weekend in which tensions among the three superpowers spiked up, with the Russian Ambassador recalled from Washington and the public confrontation U.S.-China meeting of top officials in Alaska. These representatives understand that the Schiller Institute’s activists in the United States and Europe who organized the meeting are a unique cultural and political force for peace and development. And on the third panel Sunday morning, a decorated U.S. Marine combat veteran, former Virginia State Senator and conservative Republican, Col. Richard Black (ret.), was bold and brave enough to denounce the war policies of the United States and NATO in Southwest Asia, especially Syria, and demand, “This has to stop!”On that third panel representatives of the popular governments of Yemen, Syria and Iraq were able to speak directly to Americans, Europeans and to young people in Ibero-America—something which was a first for numerous of the several thousand people who watched the conference online. A way was presented in detail—the North American Belt and Road Initiative—for the United States and China to cooperate for the economic advantage of both, in aiding high-technology development of the nations of Mexico, Central and South America. Two of this unique conference’s sessions, taken together, completely exposed and debunked the so-called Green New Deal as both scientifically fraudulent and economically destructive, in a way comprehensible to professionals and laymen alike. Princeton physicist Dr. William Happer, formerly on the National Security Council in 2018-19, discredited the case against carbon dioxide itself as a substance supposedly dangerous to the planet. And Richard Freeman of EIR showed the British Royal Family origin and steering of the Green New Deal as a torpedo aimed to destroy industrial civilization. Perhaps most important, the Committee on the Coincidence of Oppositions came forward at this conference, a collaboration of leading medical professionals from minority communities, and American farm leaders, and veteran military officers, dedicated to seeing modern healthcare systems in every nation to fight the pandemic, to training youth Health Corps, and to doubling food production to fight the famine that is spreading. This Committee, the idea of Helga Zepp-LaRouche and former U.S. Surgeon-General Joycelyn Elders, is itself unique in the social force “of opposites” it is creating. The same conference was able, in its opening session devoted to “a new cultural Renaissance,” to convey the necessity of Classical poetry and music to political leaders and citizens who are going to solve these problems. The basic solutions to this crisis of economic collapse and debt explosion remain as Lyndon and Helga LaRouche have said: Glass-Steagall breakup of the megabanks; a “New Bretton Woods” international credit system; national bank credit institutions in every nation, crash programs at the space and fusion frontiers. But as Helga LaRouche pointed out as the conference ended, “Populations have become numbed” by misfortune, prejudice, disease, social conflict and a degenerated popular culture—all of these issues have also to be taken on, and the grave danger of the Great Reset and Green New Deal fully understood. Next we will publish a mass-circulation pamphlet form of EIR’s Special Report, “The Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Exposes the Green New Deal.” Conferences on these subjects will continue. How quickly, may depend on you. Find the times to watch this one in full, at the link here. The Schiller Institute does not have enough activist forces to hold the range of such events which it could command. We need those who have seen this conference, to join with Helga LaRouche.

Does Joe Biden really believe Vladimir Putin is a "killer" who has no soul? Do U.S. officials truly believe that an "Asian NATO" targeting China will reverse the collapse of the U.S.? The alternative to these dangerous fantasies and bluster was presented at the Schiller Institute conference March 20-1, which featured a true dialogue between official representatives of the governments of the U.S., China, Russia, Syria, Iraq and Yemen, officials and activists representing the medical profession and food producers, and journalists and scientists, who took up the challenge, under the direction of Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp LaRouche, to bring humanity to a New Paradigm based on serving the common interests of all nations.
