The website of the United Arab Emirates’s Space Agency answers the question, “Why Are We Exploring Mars?” succinctly: “The red planet has captured human imagination for centuries. Now, we are at a junction where we know a great deal about the planet, and we have the vision and technology to explore further. Mars is an obvious target for exploration for many reasons. From our pursuit to find extraterrestrial life to someday expand human civilization to other planets, Mars serves as a long-term and collaborative project for the entire human race.” In a fascinating interview with Space.com on Feb. 8, the day before orbital insertion, U.A.E. Space Agency chair and Minister for Advanced Sciences Sarah al-Amiri described how Hope was designed for its mission as “the very first holistic weather satellite of Mars,” mapping the dynamics of Mars’ weather system throughout the entire day, in every region of Mars, over the course of an entire Martian year, through the combination of its three key instruments, shifting its orbit (from closer in to farther out), and monitoring Mars’s lower and upper atmosphere, and the interactions between them. “Our objectives from the get-go,” she emphasized, “are to ensure that Hope’s science is complementary to other missions and [therefore] usable to various science groups, and also new in nature so that it can continue the vast exploration efforts by different nations about Mars.” Hope is a product of national determination and international cooperation which exemplifies how other developing countries and regions can also leapfrog into being space-faring nations. The U.A.E. is a young nation—founded only 50 years ago—but its founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, recognized that “money is meaningless if not mobilized for the good of man,” the country’s oil wealth “valueless without national human resources qualified for and capable of building up the country” through science and industry. It was that understanding that led far-sighted leaders of the U.A.E. to invite physical economist Lyndon LaRouche to deliver the keynote address to a two-day regional symposium on “The Role of Oil and Gas in World Politics,” at the U.A.E.’s Zayed Centre in June 2002, and to develop both nuclear power and space programs. Space Agency chair al-Amiri argues that the purpose of U.A.E.’s space program is that of “stimulating a lot of change within the U.A.E.’s economy that today more than ever should have a solid foundation in science. The best way to do that, from what we have been experimenting with as a nation, has been an exploration mission to space.” To develop its Earth-orbit satellite program in the 2000’s, the U.A.E. turned to South Korea to jointly design and build its first two satellites, then launched from Kazakhstan. Its Space Agency was founded in 2014, and the goal of sending a probe to Mars by 2021, the 50th anniversary of the nation’s founding, adopted quickly thereafter. By 2018, the U.A.E. space team was able to design and build a satellite itself. To meet the tougher technical challenges of building a spacecraft for another planet, the U.A.E. Space Agency partnered with three U.S. universities: the University of Colorado’s Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics in Boulder, Arizona State University, and the Space Sciences Lab at the University of California, Berkeley campus. Hope was then launched to Mars on a Japanese rocket from the Tanegashima Space Center! A veteran of NASA Mars missions, now based at Northern Arizona University who worked on the design of one of Hope’s instruments, Christopher Edwards, told the Wall Street Journal that the Hope mission “is like nothing I’ve ever experienced in the spacecraft program so far. There’s a huge training aspect to it and a huge collaborative aspect that is like nothing else.”
China’s Tianwen-1 orbiter fired its engine at 6:52 a.m. EST (11:52 UTC) today to slow down, and get pulled into Mars’ orbit, joining the U.A.E.’s Hope, which arrived yesterday. Unlike any of the first Mars missions ever sent by other countries, China’s Tianwen-1 consists of not just an orbiter, but also a lander and rover.This is a very high-risk approach, but since one can only launch to Mars every 26 months, it will save a lot of time to combine two steps. Over the next two to three months, the orbiter will be photographing the red planet to allow the scientists and engineers to choose a landing spot which is both interesting and safe. The rover will be deployed in May or June and spend three months studying Mars, looking especially for underground water. Speculation has already started as to who will do the sample return mission first—the U.S. or China—which is an important step before manned missions. Happily, NASA Associate Administrator for Science Missions Thomas Zurbuchen tweeted this morning at the news of the Tianwen-1’s success: “Congratulations to China for the Tianwen-1 mission successfully entering Mars orbit today. There is much to discover about the mysteries of Mars and we look forward to your contributions!”
After the successful orbital insertion of U.A.E.’s Hope, Assistant Administrator for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate Thomas Zurbuchen, tweeted to the U.A.E. team that “your bold endeavor to explore the Red Planet will inspire many others to reach for the stars. We hope to join you at Mars soon with @NASAPersevere.” Japan’s Aerospace Exploration Agency wrote that U.A.E.’s success, “gracing U.A.E.’s 50th anniversary, is an inspiration to the world. All the best!”Egypt is one country that is definitely inspired. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi “hailed” the arrival of the Hope probe to Mars, Egypt’s Mena news agency reported. He wrote on his official Twitter account: “I proudly watched the arrival of the Hope probe to Mars, which is an unprecedented step in the field of scientific research, and heralds a scientific renaissance in the Arab region,” and sent greetings to “the sisterly United Arab Emirates, the leadership and the people, and to all its geniuses who planned and designed this experiment in an attempt to create a new reality, despite all the extreme challenges at the present time. The experience will not be the ultimate in exploring new horizons in our big world, as the Arab mind is ambitious and does not know the impossible.” Egyptian Space Agency head Mohamed el Qousi told an online symposium sponsored by the U.A.E. Space Agency the same day, that Egypt, “with all its expertise in the field of space and satellites, is looking with great admiration and appreciation to the U.A.E. model in making a positive change in the Arab world,” Egypt State Information Service reported. El Qousi called the “U.A.E. an inspiring model for Arabs,” lauding “the noble global scientific goals … achieved for humanity” by its Hope mission. He also reported that Egypt is working on a project to build “35 education satellites for the benefit of students, specialists and engineers to give them the opportunity to learn, perform programming, and control those satellites… as part of Egypt’s quest for scientific and technological expansion in the fields and activities of space.” The Egyptian report described the subject of the symposium as discussing “prospects for Arab cooperation in the space field, especially in light of Egypt’s great expertise in the field of space and satellites, as well as its highly efficient human resources.” No mention was made of other Arab countries participating, but it is possible that others were involved. After all, the tower building in Dubai was lit up last night at one point with the words: “Arabs to Mars!”

On schedule this morning, the United Arab Emirates’ spaceship “Hope” successfully moved into orbit around Mars. The craft powered down from 121,000km/hour to about 18,000km/hour, allowing it to become captured into a Mars’ orbit, and moved into place nicely, after a 27-minute burn of its thrusters. It is now settling into position, to soon monitor Red Planet weather conditions. The Hope mission is to last for an entire Martian year (687 Earth days).Tomorrow, the Chinese “Tianwen-1” is expected to make its arrival at Mars as scheduled, with a complex program planned for the coming months. Then comes the arrival Feb. 18 of the NASA craft, Perseverance, to land a rover on the surface. This February threesome brings to five, the total number of nations which have succeeded in their Mars missions to date. Truly, if we set things right on Earth, Mars is only the beginning of a new age of advancement for mankind. Already reported was the case of the national chairman of the Proud Boys who served as an FBI informant for years. Now it’s come to light that a leader of the paramilitary Oath Keepers’ who participated in the assault on the U.S. Capitol Jan. 6 held an FBI security clearance. Another blatant case of national subversion involves plotting against President Vladimir Putin and Russia. This is being conducted by the very same networks undermining the United States—the London-centered, financial transnational networks, promoting their own dictatorship. Yesterday, a confab was held online, organized by the Polish mission to the European Union in Brussels, of various EU nations, plus the U.K., the U.S., Canada and Ukraine, to conspire against Putin, and otherwise destabilize Russia. The very same Russian aide to “dissident” Alexey Navalny, Vladimir Ashurkov, caught on tape in 2012, discussing big bucks with a suspected British MI6 agent, for the purpose of orchestrating opposition to Putin in Russia, attended yesterday’s virtual confab in Brussels. Today, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakarova blasted the meeting, describing it as a gathering of NATO countries using Navalny to organize subversive activities against Russia. It would not be an exaggeration to identify George P. Shultz as one of those most responsible for the devolution unleashed on the physical economy of the nations of the trans-Atlantic region over the last half-century. Shultz, who died on February 6, was the quintessential "Economic Hitman," whose policies and actions paved the way for today's Davos billionaires behind the Great Reset and Green New Deal, who are carrying on his work to impose a global dictatorship run by Central bankers, on behalf of the largest private banks and financial institutions. He was not simply a typical "free market" fanatic with academic credentials, but one consciously committed to what was once called synarchism, a term used to describe the international model in which global corporations usurped the sovereign powers of nation states to drive down wages and living standards, while increasing profits for corporate shareholders.This corporatist model was employed by those who put the former "Socialist" turned "Fascist" Mussolini in power in Italy, and Hitler in Germany. The slave labor policies of the early years of the Nazis in Germany were dictated by the cartels, and imposed by Hitler's Finance Minister Hjalmar Schacht, with full support of his allies in the City of London and Wall Street. Shultz's Schachtian roots came naturally, as his father worked for the Morgan-Rockefeller-Harriman interests in New York City in the 1920s located at 120 Broadway, where stock market manipulation and the building of global industrial cartels were the order of the day. It was from these financial and corporate networks that American support was recruited by City of London operatives to participate in their "Hitler project." Shultz was trained at MIT by notorious Tavistock Institute brainwasher Kurt Lewin, whose pioneering work in lowering labor costs experimented with ways to get workers to participate willingly in their own speed-up, to avoid the more brutal methods applied by the Nazis. This work came in handy in the 1970s, when Shultz worked with the "Chicago Boys" after the bloody coup against Salvadore Allende in Chile by General Pinochet. Though he admitted in an interview that the dictator Pinochet "no doubt did some unnecessarily brutal things," he said this was needed to bring down costs to once again attract foreign investment in Chile! Before becoming a part of the U.S. support effort for the Chicago Boys in Chile, Shultz was at the center of the London-Wall Street destruction of Franklin Roosevelt's Bretton Woods system. As the dollar was being battered by demands for gold to redeem so-called Euro-dollars being dumped by British and French bankers in the late 1960s, Shultz, then a member of the economic team of the Nixon administration, joined with Paul Volcker, Arthur Burns and Henry Kissinger, to convince Nixon to break with Bretton Woods, ending the gold reserve system backing the dollar, and initiating the era of floating exchange rates. This act, done on August 15, 1971, was denounced by Lyndon LaRouche at the time, who accurately described it as modelled on the policies of Schacht. This was the final blow to the post-war economic boom launched by President Kennedy, with his FDR-oriented commitment to government-directed investment in physical goods production, with an emphasis on scientific and technological progress. Instead, since then, the physical economy of the U.S. has been on a downward trajectory, in which money flows have been directed to speculation on increasingly risky-but-profitable financial instruments, creating ever-new bubbles, in an escalating wealth transfer to the wealthiest 1%. Shultz was an ardent supporter in the Reagan administration of the Thatcherite deregulation policies, which freed bankers from concern with the physical economy. In 1999, he organized a group of neoliberal War Hawks called the Vulcans to back George W. Bush, whose wars benefited his Military Industrial Complex confederates, including leading contractor Bechtel, on whose Board he served. He joined with Lord Jacob Rothschild to make Arnold Schwarzenegger Governor of California, after the free market energy policies he championed bankrupted the state. And with synarchist banker Felix Rohatyn he pushed the "Revolution in Military Affairs", designed to further privatize military and security operations coherent with the new surveillance state set up by the Bush-Cheney Patriot Act. Among his last ventures was his work with fellow Bush-League operative James Baker in support of a carbon-tax scam, in keeping with his anti-industrial Green proclivities. Shultz's death no doubt will be mourned by those aggressively pushing the fascist Great Reset, which he did so much to advance during his life.

George Shultz was a leading economic hitman, a prominent promoter of Schachtian economic policies, named for Hjalmar Schacht, who was responsible for Nazi's slave labor policy. Shultz was at the center of more than fifty years of the "controlled disintegration" of the U.S. economy: advising Nixon to break with the gold-reserve system in 1971; advocating Thatcherite deregulation under Reagan, which led to the boom-bust economy ever since then; organizing establishment support for the Bush-Cheney regime, with its "endless wars" and surveillance state; and promoting the "revolution in military affairs," to privatize national security, placing it under a global corporatist umbrella. For much of what is now being aggressively pushed by the Davos crowd -- the Great Reset and the Green New Deal -- Shultz served as one of the key architects.
Say what you will about Donald Trump's foreign and military policy, that it was unpredictable, full of contradictions, and relied on the liberal use of sanctions, when threats and bluster against purported adversaries did not get the desired results -- but he did not begin new wars, nor did he expand those bequeathed to him by his immediate predecessors, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. And despite bellicose rhetoric from neocons and War Hawks in his administration, such as John Bolton, Defense Secretary Esper and Secretary of State Pompeo, the reaction by Trump was generally restrained, even when presented with false flag operations, such as claims of the use of chemical weapons by Syria against opponents of the Assad government, pushed by British-based White Helmets terrorist supporters, or false reports from "anonymous sources" of "Russian bounties" being paid to Taliban militants for each American soldier they killed. (1.) Until the end of his presidency, he insisted that he wished for a relationship of peaceful cooperation with Russian President Putin; and until he was panicked by the spread of the COVID pandemic in the U.S. to blame China for the disease in March 2020, he still referred to President Xi of China as his "friend", and was pursuing a second phase to the trade deal he had brokered with Xi, which was completed in December 2019. It was through collaboration with Putin and the Russian military in Syria that the "Islamic Caliphate" was toppled, and work with both Putin and Xi led to dramatic progress with North Korea -- until it was sabotaged by Bolton's threats to Kim Jong-un, which derailed the Trump-Kim summit in Hanoi on February 27-8, 2019. His efforts to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria repeatedly were opposed by Congress, in league with military leaders committed to continuing the phony "war on terror" of previous administrations.While the results of his presidency thus fell far short of the full break with the imperial geopolitical approach of Bush and Obama which he promised during his campaign in 2016, the failure to strengthen the relations with Russia and China, and to fully end the "endless wars", could reasonably be attributed to the damage done by the incessant lies of Russiagate and the Ukraine impeachment. These fabricated narratives undermined his ability to engage in serious diplomacy, and forced him to rely on the legions of the permanent bureaucracy burrowed inside the intelligence community and the Departments of State, Defense and Justice, whose loyalty was not to him, but to the "Military Industrial Complex." This dependence on the bad actors who served in previous administrations was reinforced by War Hawks in both parties in Congress, who opposed his efforts to withdraw from the wars, and by a corrupt, lying media, which attributed his willingness to work with Putin to paying off a debt to the Russian President for orchestrating his election. As we reported from the beginning of his administration, the purpose of Russiagate was precisely to sabotage agreements with Russia and China, and to keep Trump, and the U.S., trapped in a paradigm defined by British geopolitical strategy, with the U.S. providing the military and economic muscle to sustain the Empire centered in the City of London and Wall Street. Unfortunately, neither he nor his closest allies ever fully exposed the British role in collaboration with Bush and Obama intelligence and security operatives in running Russiagate and the ongoing "Color Revolution" against him, a failure which ultimately assured that a decisive break with British geopolitics and neoliberal economic/financial policy would not occur.ENTER JOE BIDENThe line from the anti-Trump networks among political leaders, the diplomatic corps and media, is that the Biden presidency represents a return of "adults to the room", after the disruption done by Trump to the strategic alliances forged by Bush and Obama. Left unsaid is that these alliances led to costly and destructive wars continuously, beginning with an invasion by U.S. and allied troops under "Operation Enduring Freedom" on October 7, 2001. While "freedom" has been elusive for the people of Afghanistan, the war there remains "enduring."On February 4, Biden delivered a much-anticipated address to State Department diplomats, in which he promised a return to the provocative policies toward Russia and China of the Obama administration. He expressed his intent that, in contrast to Trump, his administration will "begin re-forming the habits of cooperation and rebuilding the muscles of democratic alliances that have atrophied from four years of neglect." He continued in this vein: "American leadership must meet this new moment of advancing authoritarianism, including the growing determination of China to rival the United States, and the determination of Russia to damage our democracy." He added that under his direction, the U.S. will "reclaim the mantel" of global leadership.This conforms with the pronouncement of his newly-installed Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland, that America faces an "existential...challenge from the rising autocrats," accusing Russia and China of "acting to deepen their hooks not only into our alliance system but into changing the global rules of the world." In assuming the number three position at State, Nuland will build on the anti-Russian provocations she ran during the Obama-Biden years, when she oversaw the regime change coup in Ukraine, that toppled the Yanukovych government, spearheaded by a combination of Soros' funded "human rights" groups, and anti-Russian Nazi militia units of the Azov Battalion. Future Russiagate figure and former MI6 operative Christopher Steele aided their efforts, filing a series of situation reports from Ukraine delivered to Secretary of State John Kerry. Biden served as Obama's "point-man" on Ukraine. Nuland is a long-time adherent of the neocon doctrine of American unilateralism, from the time she served as Deputy National Security Adviser to the war criminal Dick Cheney, when he was Bush's Vice-President.Ironically, the reassertion of muscular unilateralism is being portrayed by Biden allies as a return to "multilateralism." British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called for a "Council of Democracies" to "Save Multilateralism." Johnson proposed a "D-10", i.e., a "Democratic 10", which would add British Commonwealth members Australia and India, along with South Korea, to the G-7. Biden likewise said he would convene a "global democracy summit" to "counter the rise of authoritarian states," which he claims were encouraged by Trump's "authoritarian populism," according to the {New York Times}. A leading advocate of the D-10 is former Obama-Biden State Department official Ash Jain, who was a leader of the "43 Alumni for Joe Biden", a PAC of former Obama officials backing Biden's presidential campaign. Jain now directs the Atlantic Council's "D-10 Strategy Group", which released a paper on Dec. 23, 2020, "Countering China's Challenge to the free world". He and his collaborators write that the "CCP's (Chinese Communist Party's) repressive model and reliance on nationalism diminish opportunities for cooperation in a rules-based system." Jain described the D-10 in an interview with London's {Economist} magazine as a "small number of strategically like-minded and highly capable states," working together "to advance the liberal world order." For these War Hawks, a "rules-based system" of the "liberal world order" allows for propagating lies to invade and destroy sovereign states, as was done by the Obama-Biden administration to Libya, and arm and train the Islamic Jihadists of ISIS and Al Qaeda to carry out regime change in Syria.The Atlantic Council, which was notorious for its promotion of the Russiagate narrative against Trump, released a new report in January, which spells out the intent to contain China in a replay of the launching of the Cold War against the Soviet Union, directed by the British in 1946-7. The 85-page report, titled "The Longer Telegram: Toward a New American China Policy," provides marching orders for the military encirclement of China. (2.)This report, attributed to "anonymous", insists on a pre-war deployment against China in greater depth than Jain's earlier report, and was released with much fanfare by the Atlantic Council's chairman, Frederick Kempe. The dangerous implications of this strategy were laid out in an op-ed by Admiral Charles Richard, the head of the U.S. Strategic Command. Richard argues that the U.S. must engage in a crash modernization program of its nuclear forces, lest it fall behind China and Russia. He described the current trajectory as one headed toward a "likely thermonuclear war."BIDEN'S WAR HAWKSThe team assembled to serve the Biden administration is made up of a number of officials who worked previously in the Obama-Biden administration, and demonstrated their commitment to geopolitical confrontation with Russia and China. Biden himself has a long history as a unilateralist War Hawk, defending the Bush-Cheney wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Obama's provocative approach to Russia over Ukraine and Syria. In his first discussion with Putin, while reaching a final agreement on the extension of the START nuclear arms agreement -- which is good, but was largely prepared under Trump -- he lectured the Russian President on the treatment of the U.S.-British backed "dissident" Navalny, and blamed Russia for hacking in the Solar Winds case, which is yet another example of unproven allegations. His spokesman Jen Psaki bragged to the press that Biden showed Putin that the days of pandering by Trump to authoritarian governments are over, and Biden himself boasted in his State Department address that his foreign policy actions thus far show that "America is back"!Prominent members of his team include: Antony Blinken, former Deputy Secretary of State under Obama, who is notorious for his call for bombing Syria in defense of "moderate rebels". In his Senate confirmation hearing, he described the Russian-German Nord Stream 2 pipeline as "a bad idea," promising that he would "determine what we can do to prevent" its completion. He said he is "deeply disturbed by the violent crackdown against supporters of Navalny" and favors imposing new sanctions as punishment. He also called for a "tough stance" against alleged Russian military actions in Ukraine. Jake Sullivan, the National Security Adviser, served in the same position under then-Vice President Biden. He has also demanded a strong response to alleged Russian and Chinese "aggression". Avril Haines, Director of National Intelligence, drafted documents to provide "legal justification" for the Obama-John Brennan launching of drone strikes in the middle eastern wars. Defense Department documents show that a disproportionate number of those killed in these strikes were civilians, including women and children. General (retired) Lloyd Austin, the Secretary of Defense, went from active duty into a position on the Board of leading military contractor Raytheon. In his confirmation hearing, he emphasized that he will "focus" on the threat posed by China, articulating classic British geopolitical reasoning to defend this: "China presents the most significant threat because China is ascending. Russia is also a threat, but it is in decline. It can still do a lot of damage...." Susan Rice — though she has been appointed the head of the Domestic Policy Council, Rice is a dedicated War Hawk whose lineage goes back to those who promoted British geopolitics, as implemented by Zbigniew Brzezinski. Rice's mentor, Madeleine Albright, was a product of Brzezinski's school of geopolitics. In addition to her advocacy for continuing the "endless wars", she played a leading role in coordinating the emerging Russiagate strategy against the Trump administration, through her participation in the January 5, 2017 meeting at the White House, which reaffirmed the administration's policy to prosecute Trump's designated National Security Adviser, General Michael Flynn. Samantha Power — Obama's U.N. Secretary, who has been a leading promoter of the "Responsibility to Protect" doctrine, which has been used repeatedly to justify regime change operations, will head the Agency for International Development (AID), giving her the ability to use funds directly to conduct future Color Revolution operations. It should be noted that the policies endorsed by Biden's team are virtually identical to those pursued by Trump's Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo!FOOTNOTES: 1.) The most notable exception to a policy of restraint was the lamentable strike which killed Iran's Revolutionary Guard leader Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi militia Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. This was an act carried out based on still-classified intelligence that they were preparing an imminent strike on American soldiers in Iraq. Trump "took credit" for the decision to carry out the assassination, though it is clear that the initiative to do it came from Pompeo and his team, cheered on by their former colleague Bolton. 2.) The title refers to the "Long Telegram", a memo written in February 1946 by George Kennan to the State Department. Kennan, who was working in the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, proposed a policy of "containment" against the USSR, which was coherent with that pushed by Britain's Winston Churchill. This application of anti-Russian British geopolitics resulted in the prolonged Cold War between the U.S. and Russia, in direct opposition to Franklin Roosevelt's post-war intentions, and defined strategic policy as a battle between the two blocs, which lasted until the fall of the USSR in December 1991.
Interview with Helga Zepp-LaRouche on an upcoming report by Executive Intelligence Review exposing the evil intent behind the Great Reset and how to defeat it.
The following is a translation from Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s lead article in the German weekly Neue Solidarität, #6, for Feb. 11, 2021: Relations with America will not be easy for yet some time to come. Given the various strategy papers against Russia and China as well as statements by leading military officers, President Biden’s announcement in his first foreign policy speech—“America is back”—sounds like an undisguised threat. Under his leadership, he said, the days of the United States “rolling over” when faced with Russia’s aggressive actions are over, and China’s aggressive, coercive actions will be countered. The title of his speech was “America’s Place in the World,” and according to Biden, that place is everywhere in the world. Governments as well as responsible citizens throughout the world need to begin reflecting without delay on how they will respond to the statements of political intent heard in the context of Biden’s taking office.The most shocking statements came from Adm. Charles Richard, the commander of the U.S. Strategic Command, who wrote in the February issue of the U.S. Naval Institute’s Proceedings: “There is a real possibility that a regional crisis with Russia or China could escalate quickly to a conflict involving nuclear weapons, if they perceived a conventional loss would threaten the regime or state. Consequently, the U.S. military must shift its principal assumption from ‘nuclear employment is not possible’ to ‘nuclear employment is a very real possibility’….” It should be clear that Admiral Richard is talking here about World War III, which would likely mean the annihilation of mankind. Indeed, as MIT nuclear arms expert Theodore Postol, among others, has repeatedly and convincingly argued, the crucial difference between conventional and nuclear weapons is that a nuclear war does not remain limited. But NATO’s utopian faction believes, on the contrary, that a limited nuclear war could be “won.” And what “regional conflicts” might be considered? A conflict on the Russian border because of the Aegis-based missile defense systems in Poland and Romania? Or over Eastern Ukraine, with Europe becoming the theater of war? A conflict between Israel and Iran, or an escalation of tensions around Taiwan? Admiral Richard’s outrageous remarks must be considered against the backdrop of several different strategic papers and doctrines, the most perfidious one being a document released by the Atlantic Council on Jan. 28. The document is signed “Anonymous,” who is “a former senior government official with deep expertise and experience dealing with China,” according to the description given in the Foreword by Frederick Kempe, the head of the Atlantic Council. The 85-page paper, described as one of the most important the Council has ever published, is titled “The Longer Telegram: Toward a New American China Strategy,” in explicit reference to the 1946 “Long Telegram” document, also published anonymously at the time by George Kennan, in which he called for a containment policy against the Soviet Union. This new anonymous author openly calls for a coup against President Xi Jinping and his “inner circle” in order to replace him with opposition leaders from within the Chinese Communist Party. Since overthrowing the entire Communist Party with its 91 million members has little chance of succeeding, he says, U.S. strategy must remain “laser focused” on Xi Jinping and aim to split the CCP leadership, where senior party members disagree with Xi’s policy direction and his endless demands for absolute loyalty. One should help those circles in the CCP leadership come to power who, unlike Xi Jinping, do not want to implement their own Chinese model of an international order but will submit to the U.S.-dominated world order. Xi, according to “Anonymous,” intends to project China’s authoritarian system throughout the world, and no longer poses a problem just for the U.S.-led liberal international order and U.S. primacy, but a serious problem for the entire democratic world. Now, let’s just try a mental exercise. How would the German government react if a leading Russian think tank were to publish a study calling for the overthrow of Chancellor Merkel and her inner circle with laser-like precision, in order to help take power a faction in the CDU that would be subordinate to Moscow’s interests, while at the same time the commander of strategic weapons were talking about how a nuclear war is likely? There would be an unprecedented uproar in all of Germany! It should surprise no one that the editor-in-chief of China’s Global Times, Hu Xijin, responded to Admiral Richards’ article with a call for China to build a nuclear arsenal of 1,000 nuclear weapons in order to make China’s second-strike capability credible. Both in the Atlantic Council document and in the official paper of the U.S. State Department’s Office of Policy Planning, titled “The Elements of the Chinese Challenge,” it is clear that it is the success of the Chinese economic model and the speed of its technological innovation that are considered as the threat for American domination of the world. Not only was it a miscalculation to assume that China’s integration into the world market by joining the WTO would automatically lead to its adopting the Western neo-liberal model of democracy, the State Department paper says, but China also built its own“Marxist-Leninist model” into an authoritarian state, dominated by “the party’s extreme interpretation of Chinese nationalism.” In addition, it goes on, China is determined to bring about a “national rejuvenation” culminating in the transformation of the international order. We cannot comment here, of course, on all the extremely hostile accusations contained in the two papers, that of the State Department also being 72 pages long. In summary, it can be said that virtually all the charges alleged against China’s policy are a projection of their own policies and intentions. No attempt is made to understand China from the standpoint of its 5,000-year history and culture, nor is there any acknowledgment of what an enormous civilizational achievement it was for China to lift 850 million people out of extreme poverty in recent decades. From this perspective, of course, the Silk Road Initiative is not regarded as an economic policy that allows developing countries to overcome their underdevelopment for the first time ever, but as the proof of China’s hegemonic intentions. Given the National Security Agency’s total surveillance of not only its own population, but that of the entire world since September 11, 2001, and the censorship of even the sitting President of the United States (Donald Trump) by the TV networks and the IT giants of Silicon Valley, it takes a very special kind of optics to accuse China of spying on and monitoring its citizens. The reality is that digitization in China has allowed for highly efficient contact tracing in the coronavirus pandemic, and that the social credit system has overwhelming popular support because the rewarding of positive behavior for society also benefits each individual. What both papers have in common is that their authors reinterpret absolutely everything about Chinese culture, which for thousands of years has placed the interest of the common good above that of the individual, and which flows from a deep-seated need for the harmonious development of all, and they turn it into an enemy image of the West’s order. It is not the Chinese Communist Party that is seeking world supremacy, but rather the neo-liberal establishment of the unipolar world order that fears it will lose its supremacy and has moved miles away from the universal principles on which America was founded and which it claims to represent. And what the Biden Administration thinks of respect for the sovereignty of other countries is obvious in its opposition to the Nord Stream 2 gas project. Incidentally, the hoopla surrounding Vladimir Putin’s alleged poisoning of Alexey Navalny, who is supported by Western intelligence agencies, serves the same purpose of setting into motion a color revolution, and thereby creating an opposition within Putin’s inner circle that could be used to remove him from office. All responsible and thinking people are called upon to contribute through their mobilization to preventing the governments of Europe from being drawn further into the announced campaign against China and Russia. Chancellor Merkel, in her speech to the online event of the World Economic Forum, correctly emphasized her rejection of any bloc formation between the U.S. and China, in which Europe would then have to choose sides, and stated that the hour of multilateralism had come. In light of Admiral Richard’s dangerous statements, European countries must not only explicitly distance themselves from such a policy, they must also withdraw from NATO and seek a security architecture that reflects the interests of their populations. What is at stake, is Europe’s survival.

Robert Grenier, the former head of CIA Counterterrorism during the Afghan and Iraq wars under George W. Bush from 2004-2006, has joined forces (perhaps subconsciously) with one of the leading British intelligence assets at Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA), Dr. Leslie Vinjamuri, to bring counterinsurgency and British subversion together in an effort to permanently wipe out the Constitutional Republic, returning the former American colony to the British System.Vinjamuri is Director of the U.S. and the Americas program and Dean of the Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership in International Affairs at Chatham House, and headed the Chatham House U.S. Election Series. In her Feb. 4 article, “The Trial of Trump Is Not Enough To Repair Democracy,” Vinjamuri asserts that the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol Building was not only an “insurrection,” as the Democrats and anti-Trump neocon Republicans call it, but it was an attempted “coup.” This is quite ironic, since Chatham House was at the center of the four-year attempted coup against the United States known as Russiagate, in which Vinjamuri played a significant role. She demands that in addition to Trump being convicted in the impeachment trial, “a fuller account from a bipartisan commission is essential to repair America’s global reputation.” She adds that “the threat to democracy in America comes from within the political system itself.” Ignoring the fact that the United States is a Republic, she calls for overturning that political system, rooting out the 75 million Trump supporters, to “begin the process of understanding how to restore democracy in the U.S.” In lockstep with Vinjamuri is former CIA counterterrorism chief Grenier, interviewed on NPR on Feb. 2. He described Donald Trump as equivalent to Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein (against whom he had directed the counterterror campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq). Trump, he claims, “is seen as the charismatic leader of a great many violent people. And I think that needs to be countered. So long as he is there and leading the resistance, if you will, which he shows every sign of intending to do, he is going to be an inspiration to very violent people…. Defeating him politically was the first step. Given the continuing threat he poses, convicting him in the Senate and barring him from elective office is not only a just punishment for his crimes, but also a national security imperative.” Then, he adds, “We must isolate and alienate the committed insurgents from the population. Just as Al Qaeda in Iraq depended on a much larger community of disaffected Sunnis for tacit support and recruitment, we face the prospect of there being a mass of citizens—sullen, angry and nursing their grudges—among whom the truly violent minority will be able to live undetectably, attracting new adherents to their cause.” This should deeply disturb every American—indeed, every citizen in the world. Donald Trump, whatever his failings, was committed to ending the regime change wars launched by Bush and Obama—and was the first president since Reagan who did not start a war. Here we have the architects and implementers of those wars, in the U.K. and in the U.S. intelligence community, calling for regime change and counterterror operations against the American population—indeed, approximately half the population. Will they use the approach of Tony Blair and George W. Bush in Iraq, to kill and displace millions of innocents, in an endless war against our own people? Will they actually create terrorists, as they did in Iraq, Libya and Syria, by laying waste to cities and villages across the nation? Isn’t it strange that a riot in DC, already shown to be instigated by FBI assets, is declared a terrorist insurgency, while the months and months of armed insurrectionists in cities across the country were praised as peaceful demonstrators by the Democrat leadership, and are declared to be justified anti-fascists and anti-racists rather than insurrectionists? This is guaranteed to keep the nation totally divided, perhaps in a Hobbesian war of all against all, while the financial system explodes, the pandemic continues out of control, and the military-industrial complex prepares for war with Russia and China (see Biden’s speech below). The British are quite aware that the American Republic is dying, and hope that their former colony will soon be back under Royal control. There is no solution to this unfolding disaster within the United States alone. The speeches by Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin at the Davos event last week—contained in the current issue of EIR presented the dangers inherent in the current crisis, but also the possibility and the urgency that the U.S., Russia and China come together to reject the geopolitical divisions of the world, to join forces in a new paradigm. “Man yearns upward, toward the exploration of space, for one overriding purpose: the fuller development of mankind on Earth.” So concludes Lyndon LaRouche’s 1996 article “Space: The Ultimate Money Frontier.” With three spacecraft entering Mars orbit or landing on the red planet itself this month, the economic lessons LaRouche teaches are particularly relevant for creating a future-oriented policy in opposition to the Green evil of the “Great Reset.”Looking back, the U.S. Apollo Moon mission, and the technological, scientific, and industrial advances required to make it possible, generated a ten-fold return on investment. This return was not monetary, like that of those institutional investors who made billions off the ascent of GameStop’s stock, but physical. The post-Apollo economy—and society—was enriched with specific technologies, improved machine tools and production techniques, and a bonanza of skilled engineers and workers. In the present, the three spacecraft reaching Mars in the coming weeks—the United States’s Perseverance, China’s Tianwen-1, and the U.A.E.’s Hope—represent the commitments of those nations and their partners to expanding their capabilities and piercing the veil of the universe’s secrets. Perseverance has microphones to record its entry and listen to the sound of its travel over the Martian terrain; two dozen cameras to record its landing, guide its navigation, view samples, use x-ray fluoroscopy and visible light to determine the chemical composition of rocks by zapping them with its laser, and create 3D views of its journey; a seven-foot robotic arm complete with a power drill with interchangeable bits for drilling out samples; a plutonium battery; and an array of antennas to keep in touch with the Earth and the orbiter. It will also bring the first helicopter to Mars. The orbital insertion of Hope will make the U.A.E. the fifth entity to reach Mars, following the U.S., the Soviet Union, the European Space Agency, and India. The orbiter will study the atmosphere of Mars. China’s Tianwen-1 will enter orbit just one day later, making that nation the sixth to reach the red planet. Like Perseverance, Tianwen-1 consists of an orbiter and a lander with a rover, which is equipped with cameras, sensors, and a surface-penetrating radar. In the future, mankind’s goals in space will expand to include a family of Earth-orbiting space stations, radical improvements in bringing payloads into orbit, mining helium-3 on the Moon as a fusion-fuel, nuclear powered rockets, and a science colony on Mars. As LaRouche wrote in 1996: “The universe is heavily populated with astrophysical anomalies which we know to exist, but want the means to examine in a more efficient way…. The number of new fundamental discoveries awaiting mankind from even the preliminary next steps toward Mars colonization is awesomely large: these anomalies alone would assure us of numerous major scientific breakthroughs in the practice of science on Earth.” We will have to work hard to achieve these goals! Ensuring a global development of infrastructure of both the hard (transportation, electricity, water, sanitation, hospitals) and soft (education, health workers, scientific institutions) varieties means a commitment to overthrowing the rotten imperial paradigm of finance and population reduction that pollutes so many of the minds and institutions of the trans-Atlantic world. Arguably the most destructive mental pollution requiring emergency remediation is the Green ideology that sees human action and development as an unnatural despoiling of the pre-human (and therefore “perfect”) state of nature. The ability to enforce this ideology on a world scale has major problems in the independence of the nations of Russia and China, and the meteoric growth of the latter country—growth which it is exporting through its Belt and Road Initiative. To prevent the potential of the United States adopting a mission of growth, and of collaborating with other major powers, the campaign of vilification of Russia and China as some combination of authoritarian, “malign” (a word that has lost any meaning), or seeking to develop their own empires, has reached a new level of directly targeting Presidents Putin and Xi for regime-change operations, as through the case of Alexey Navalny. It is the British Empire which has created and pushed these green and geopolitical myths, and it is that empire that will be defeated by exposing the murderous truth of the Great Reset / Green New Deal, and by revealing the incredible future that can be ours if we turn our eyes and thoughts upwards, to the stars. As we look forward to good news from Mars this month, we can also look forward to powerful intelligence from EIR and The LaRouche Organization to defeat the Green pollution that threatens to drag us down to the dirt.

Why the desperation today, when he's already out of office? One would never mistake the U.S. Congress as a place where actual work gets done on behalf of the American people. As Democrats prepare their insane drive to impeach former President Donald Trump, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) Jan. 17 charge that “the enemy is within the House of Representatives,” has exacerbated already sharp divisions and encouraged a vendetta against any Republican who dared to defend, or just side with Trump. Similar polarization is evident in the Senate, where the Senate Ethics Committee is now investigating Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley, for the “crime” of having questioned the election certification during the Joint Session of Congress on Jan. 6, as the Constitution allows him to do.Pelosi now claims that House members will have to pay additional money to protect themselves in their Washington, D.C., offices and in their home states, allegedly because Trump is “fanning the flames” of violence and insurrection, endangering the safety of House members, while his allies in the House are also threatening fellow legislators, because they want to bring guns onto the floor of the House. Pelosi has ordered the installation of magnetometers outside the House chamber so that no one can enter with weapons. Any member who refuses to be screened will be fined. As former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard warned on Fox News’s “The Ingraham Angle” Jan. 29, Pelosi’s remarks are “incredibly dangerous,” given how divided and “on edge” the country is. If there is evidence that Members are being threatened, she said, that’s serious, and law enforcement should be brought in to investigate. But if there’s no evidence to substantiate Pelosi’s claims, she added, then this is simply “inciting further division and further harm potentially, and further destroying the possibility of our country coming together.” How dangerous Pelosi’s remarks are is seen in the hysterical attacks underway to punish or expel Republicans because they support Trump or allege that vote fraud did occur on Nov. 3. One target is Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Green, an ardent and outspoken Trump supporter, who won her seat on Nov. 3 with 75% of the vote. In the past she has supported QAnon and made controversial remarks in 2018 and 2019 that she later retracted. But Democrats now want her removed from the House Education and Labor Committee and Budget Committee for making “incendiary” remarks. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) called Taylor-Green “a cancer for the Republican Party,” who peddles “loony lies and conspiracy theories.” Yesterday, Reps. Debbie Wasserman Shultz, Ted Deutch of Florida, and Jahana Hayes of Connecticut introduced a resolution demanding Green’s removal from the two committees, to “reduce the future harm that she can cause in Congress, and deny her a seat at committee tables where fact-based policies will be drafted.” This is a “suitable punishment and a proper restraint of her influence,” said Wasserman Shultz, RT reported. Last weekend, Pelosi accused House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) of being the leader of the QAnon party for appointing Green to the two committees in the first place. Wasserman Shultz is warning that if Republicans don’t act on the resolution, she will then bring it to the House floor for a vote. According to RT, House Democrats want to actually force a vote on Greene’s expulsion, forcing Republicans to take a position on the matter. (Observers with memory will recall Ms. Wasserman Shultz’s nasty efforts to undercut the campaigns of Sen. Sanders and Rep. Gabbard on behalf of Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid in 2016.)
Is Her Majesty’s Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) orchestrating the anti-Putin campaign of Aleksey Navalvny? As reported in yesterday’s Briefing, RT and Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), believe that is the case, and RT broadcast a 2012 video of the executive of Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation, asking a British Embassy official and reputed MI6 agent for millions of dollars. The video shows James William Thomas Ford, said to be operating under the cover of First Secretary at the British Embassy, meeting with Ashurkov at a restaurant in 2012. [https://www.rt.com/russia/514291-navalny-aide-funding-alleged-british-spy/] While RT said the FSB believed Ford to be an MI6 agent, but gave no proof, what little facts can be found on the internet, do point in that direction.A search on the website of Her Majesty’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), came up with one hit. In May 2013 Ford was a member of the British delegation at the annual U.K.-Russia Human Rights Dialogue. The delegation was led by the FCO’s Eastern Europe and Central Asia Director Colin Roberts, who raised a number of issues including the impact of the new NGO “foreign agents” law. Referring directly to Ford, the FCO document said, “British Embassy official James Ford, who participated in the talks, expressed gratitude to Russia for hosting the dialogue in Moscow….” Ford gives the following profile of himself on his Twitter account (https://twitter.com/jamesforduk?lang=en) which he opened in 2011: “British diplomat in Brussels. European foreign policy. Russia, Turkey, Balkans, Middle East. Previously in Moscow, Paris, Ankara. English-Swedish family.” The above entry is dated Aug.14, 2019 reporting that Ford drove by car from his previous posting in Ankara to Brussels. The page is current with tweets and retweets through January 2021. While the rest of the entry appears typical for a diplomat, mostly retweeting official statements. Ford’s posting in Turkey is of particular interest. He was first secretary between 2015 and 2019 according to the publication of the Turkish Foreign Ministry of the foreign diplomats. What is interesting is that the British Ambassador to Ankara between 2014 and 2017 was Richard Moore, who is now Chief of MI6 and in reality was always an MI6 agent. There is one Turkish media report of him announcing an official meeting with the governor of Hakkari province Idris Akbiyik in March 2019. The picture of their meeting includes no comment of what they discussed. As China’s first domestically produced third generation reactor goes online, Chinese nuclear officials said that they would begin to consider mass production of this type of reactor in order to export to the rest of the world. Yu Jianfeng, chairman of CNNC, said this week that the corporation will accelerate the progress of mass constructing Hualong One reactors and developing a new series of technologies in a bid to promote the Hualong One to export and achieve the target of carbon neutrality. [Ed. note, "carbon neutrality" is nonsense, but third generation nuclear reactors are certainly not.]With a design life of 60 years, the Hualong One reactor adopts a 177-reactor core design that refuels the fuel every 18 months. It innovatively uses a combination of “active and passive” safety systems and a double-shell containment, which meets the latest international nuclear safety requirements. The installed capacity of each Hualong One unit reaches nearly 1200 MWe, and each unit is able to generate nearly 10 billion kWh of electricity annually, meeting the electricity demands of 1 million people, within a setting of a moderately developed country.
The Congress in the United States, a nation which once represented the highest stage of Western culture, has dismissed reason itself. A senile President is calling for unity, while his party is declaring that all those in the opposition party who exercised their constitutional right to challenge the pervasive and self-evident vote fraud are guilty of insurrection, while bringing an unconstitutional impeachment process against a private citizen who was once the President, attempting to disenfanchise his 75 million supporters by declaring him ineligible of ever again running for office. Henceforth, the bankers have declared, economic policies shall not be run by elected representatives of the people, but by the bankers themselves, in a “regime change” of the Western financial system. Credit shall no longer be issued in projects promoting the national interest, for the production of goods and services required to advance the general welfare, nor even to advance the profit motive of entrepreneurs, but rather, in conformance with their insistence to shut down industrial society to save the planet from carbon, based on the most absurd anti-scientific concoction of nonsense since the Stone Age. The Malthusian royals in Windsor Castle are delighted in their ghoulish drive to bring the world population down to their imagined “carrying capacity” of the Earth, in the range of 1-2 billion. In the process, a new “Green Bubble” is being created on Wall Street and in the City of London, in a desperate attempt to sustain the bankrupt banking system for yet a few more months.
