The promoters of the Green New Deal, including in the media, are lying that the failure of "renewable" energy sources, such as wind power and solar, had little to do with the dangerous loss of electricity in Texas. How do we convince people that the GND is not modeled on FDR's New Deal?
Join us LIVE on Saturday at 2pm EST. At the height of the war effort in 1943 Franklin Roosevelt and Henry Wallace started the fight for peace. It was clear then, as it is now, that while U.S. fascists were forced to allow Roosevelt to win the war, they would never allow him to win the peace! He knew that as did Henry Wallace! For 12 years Roosevelt and his team ran the country despite great hatred of Wall Street. As Roosevelt would often repeat "Wall Street hates me, isn't that grand!" We have to win the peace now and finish the job Roosevelt started and Lyndon Larouche gave us the most advanced tools in the history to achieve.
The United States’ Mars lander Perseverance successfully touched down on Mars today at 3:56 p.m. EST, as the Mars spacecraft from China and the United Arab Emirates, which had arrived just days earlier, orbited the planet. It’s hard to conceive of a better image of the one humanity embarked on a common mission which speaks to the essence of Man’s role in the universe: Hope, Questions to the Universe, and Perseverance. In her weekly webcast yesterday, Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche spoke of this mission: “This is the future, and if mankind is supposed to live as an immortal species—and that was a notion which was coined by my late husband—because we are different from other species, because we have creative reason. We can solve any problem through scientific and technological breakthroughs, by discovering new laws of the universe. And since our mind is the most advanced part of that universe, there is all the reason for optimism that once we attune our own existence and our own practice with the laws of the universe, our chances to become the immortal species is absolutely there. But it does require space travel as a precondition, and I think this idea of nations working together to discover the beautiful secrets of the universe, that gives you a taste of what the future of man can look like, when we decide to become adults.” In your mind’s eye, contrast that image of Man as a creative, spacefaring species, with the image that has led to the current plummeting Potential Relative Population Density across the trans-Atlantic region, with all of its consequences: a planetary pandemic; forever wars and the risk of nuclear conflagration; mass unemployment and desperate waves of migration; and now a dramatic drop in the average life expectancy in the United States itself. According to a new study issued by the CDC, in the first six months of 2020 alone, average life expectancy dropped by a full year: from 78.8 in 2019, to 77.8 through June 2020. That is the single largest drop since World War II, and reflects both the direct and indirect impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S. and internationally. The point is straightforward: It’s the physical economy, stupid! And the essence of human physical economy is limitless breakthroughs in fundamental science and classical culture, of the sort portended by Man’s Mission to Mars. As Helga Zepp-LaRouche put it in her latest webcast: “At this point, the only voice of reason is really coming from The LaRouche Organization and the policies promoted by my late husband. But it needs a broad mobilization of the population to change the course of these developments.”
The projected Feb. 18 landing on Mars of the U.S. rover Perseverance was previewed at a NASA press conference Feb. 16, where the spokesman said, “The spacecraft is focused, the team is focused, and we are all ready to go for landing.” The target site is in the Jezero Crater, an ancient delta on the Martian surface. This will be the third major Mars feat in 12 days, with the U.A.E. “Hope” taking up orbit on Feb. 9, and China’s “Tianwen-1” taking up orbit on Feb. 10.The significance of “Percy”—as engineers like to call it—was stressed to the media at the press conference by NASA Associate Administrator for Science Thomas Zurbuchen, who said, “Whether it’s on the Red Planet, or here at home on our blue marble, science can bring us together and create solutions to challenges that seem impossible.” Among the challenges we face is the dramatic, deadly failure, under predictable peak storm conditions, of U.S. and Mexican power systems all across the south-central region of the North American continent, where an extended area of 14 U.S. and 26 Mexican states have millions of residents and extensive economic activity experiencing partial or complete blackouts. Ground zero ironically, is the energy state of Texas, where millions of residents have been without electricity for over 36 hours, and enterprises from petrochemicals, to Permian shale basin drilling are stalled. In Mexico, over 3 million people continue to have rolling blackouts, after the first round of 4.7 million people had a sudden power outage Feb. 15. The frigid storm itself, of course, causes big trouble, but the electricity failures are not a “natural” disaster. The damage and hardship come from the successful implementation for decades of more and more “green” low-technology energy generation from vast wind farms and solar installations, which—as the coal state billboards like to advertise, won’t produce power “When the Wind Don’t Blow and the Sun Don’t Shine.” The turbines on the huge wind farms are either shut down preemptively, or iced up and motionless. Plus, there are the additional problems coming from the limited natural gas transport and generation systems. Nuclear power in this region has been suppressed for a half-century, and no new plants are under construction. The still extant coal plants have saved the day as much as possible. Look at the vast dimensions of the years of green madness to date. The High Plains farm states have been turned into the national “American Wind Corridor,” which has now failed dramatically. Iowa is the leading state in the nation for share of its power coming from wind—42%. Next in line is Kansas, with 36% from wind. Relatively few people live here in the farm belt. But in Texas, with a population of 29 million, the wind corridor installations account for 10% of the state’s power, and this was the failure factor to literally put over 4 million people freezing in the dark, slamming Houston and other major cities. The wind barons T. Boone Pickens, Warren Buffett, and others have had a field day degrading the energy grid of the United States. In Texas, Pickens et al. put in the largest wind installations in the nation (28,840 MW). In Iowa (second largest, 10,200 MW), Buffett pledged, after his Berkshire Hathaway bought out Mid-American Energy Holdings in 1999, to make Iowa the first in the country for its power base to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030, through “alternative” energy. Buffett cancelled a nuclear power project that MidAmerican had previously planned. However, these evil billionaires, and the debacle we now see in North America are only a foretaste of what allowing the Green Deal to continue internationally will mean. Green Finance now aims to go in for the kill, and shut down more energy, food, and all means of life. The message of the winter storms and the power failure is for us to force a change of course. It is past time to extinguish the Green Deal madness, and internationally to collaborate on the science and infrastructure to support mankind. Begin with health care infrastructure the world over. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Feb. 16 denounced the wind and solar so-called renewables. He said, “This shows how the Green New Deal would be a deadly deal for the United States of America.” Many state legislators—unlike the madness in Congress in Washington, D.C.—are likewise up for “seeing the light.” It is urgent to get out everywhere the new “Special Report: The Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Exposes the Green New Deal.” The LaRouche Organization will hold an international roundtable discussion on Feb. 27 bearing on this, including the dangers from worsening geopolitical confrontation. The invitation will be available tomorrow. The working title of the roundtable is, “Winter Storms Smash Reset Utopia; Great Power Cooperation Instead of War.”
It is a lie for the media to report that frozen windmills have little effect in producing rolling blackouts in Texas, which are putting four million people in danger from the current deep freeze. But the failure of Green New Deal "renewable energy" sources is only part of the story. The other part is the destruction that neo-liberal economic policy, particularly deregulation, has done to the physical economy of the western nations. And the Davos "Great Reset" combines neoliberalism with the Green New Deal, creating conditions for mass murder. What's happening in Texas today is a "foretaste" of what to expect if the plans of the Davos corporatist fascists are not rejected, and replaced by the American System.
The LaRouche movement is conducting a month-long series of events to mobilize the population of the world to defeat the Great Reset and accompanying danger of world war. Defeating this policy opens the door for implementation of Lyndon and Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s policies of economic development aimed at increasing the number of people on the planet and our standard of living.
Mike Billington, Asia Intelligence Desk for Executive Intelligence Review, presents how BlackRock uses its power to threaten and intimidate nations— both advanced and developing— to accept “green” technology and abandon energy dense fuel sources, according to the genocidal diktat issued from the British Monarchy. Mike’s recent article on BlackRock, “BlackRock INC. How ‘Green Finance’ forbids modern fuels” appears in the EIR Special Report.
This news service, together with the Schiller Institute headed by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, have mounted a global mobilization to identify two existential threats to humanity being openly advocated by governments in the trans-Atlantic region—the Green New Deal and the drive for nuclear confrontation with Russia and China. Over the past 24 hours, major responses to those dangers from leading figures in the United States have been issued, which must be given mass circulation among people of good will internationally.First, just days after the release of the EIR Special Report, The Great Leap Backward—LaRouche Exposes the Green New Deal, the warning in that report concerning the deadly result of dependence on the primitive energy forms of solar and wind was demonstrated in the form of the devastation in Texas and other states due to a polar vortex, a phenomenon which is to be expected by anyone thinking long term about the conditions of life. With wind turbines frozen and the solar panels buried in snow, more than 4 million people have been left without power in freezing temperatures. The former governor of Texas, Rick Perry, who also served as President Trump’s Energy Secretary, provided a first-hand account of the disaster on the Tucker Carlson Fox News show Monday night, in terms very similar to that of the EIR Special Report. “We started taking down the coal plants, then the nuclear plants,” Perry said. “We’ve got to have a diverse energy supply which will be there when you call on it. That means fossil fuels, LNG, compact nuclear reactors. We have to look at fusion reactors—there’s great progress being made in that field right now. I don’t hear the new administration, the Green New Deal, talking about anything other than solar and wind.” He forecast ten years ahead, if we were to have an “AOC world” with only solar and wind, when the next polar vortex hit: “If you don’t have power to keep warm, you’re going to die! There are countless lives that can be lost with the kind of reckless adhering to a philosophy like that. It’s not scientific. We heard all the time during the campaign, ‘You have to stick with the science.’ Well, the science tells us, if you have just wind and solar, it’s going to get awfully cold in the winter, and awfully hot in the summer.” Secondly, on Saturday Feb. 13, the Schiller Institute sponsored a Round Table Forum: “Worsening U.S.-Russian Relations—Reverse Them with New Paradigm, or Face Nuclear War,” featuring a former CIA analyst, a former US Senator, and the head of the American University in Moscow, as well as Helga Zepp-LaRouche and Harley Schlanger of the Schiller Institute. This warning of the extreme danger of a war from these experts was also recently addressed by Professor Lyle J. Goldstein from the U.S. Naval War College, an expert on both Russia and China. In an op-ed in the Washington Times on Feb. 3, Goldstein addressed the “smoldering train wreck of the U.S.-Russia relationship,” that the US and Russia were “practically on a war footing.” He wrote: “The Western press is now fixated on the fate of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny and related protests.” He notes that there are those in the West who would welcome a “Maidan” in Moscow, but “a Russia consumed by chaos and violence would actually not accord at all with U.S. interests.” He concludes: “Americans need to know that Russia’s massive nuclear forces are under singular, stable, and rational control—not in the grips of a fracturing state facing the possibility of civil war. Moreover, a stable and prosperous Russia will also be critical to the world’s recovery from an economic crisis wrought by the global pandemic.” This mobilization must be escalated everywhere. On Feb. 27, another Schiller Institute Round Table Forum will focus on both fronts of the Anglo-American war drive against China and Russia, and the urgency that the LaRouche solution—ending the British Imperial division of the world into geopolitical blocs through a new global financial system among sovereign states to finance the development of the world and beyond—peace through development. There is no partial solution.
What do California and Texas have in common? Both states, despite many apparent differences, have adopted so-called free market policies to deregulate energy production and distribution, which favor private sector speculative swindlers over the public need for cheap, efficient and reliable energy. Both states also went "Green", shutting down coal-fired and nuclear plants, in favor of inefficient windmills and solar parks. That's why California had blackouts last summer, and Texans are freezing in the dark right now! This is a foretaste of what the Davos' Great Reset and Green New Deal is setting in motion for the rest of the country and the nations of the European Union, if we don't mobilize to reject this anti-human "Great Leap Backward" idiocy.
Richard Freeman of Executive Intelligence Review, author of the article, “In the Footsteps of George III: Prince Charles Invented and Runs the ‘Green New Deal,’” outlines the role of Prince Charles in orchestrating the decades long push by the British Monarchy for global depopulation in the name of the environment. Watch out for new interviews to be released daily this week by the authors of EIR's "The Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Exposes the Green New Deal" report.
By Monday night Americans in parts of numerous Southwest and Western states were enduring rolling blackouts, some lasting hours in the deep sub-freezing cold of a polar vortex. Many lives were in danger for lack of power and/or electric heat. This shocking event must be a wake-up call to all those, from trade union members to high school and college students, who have been either accepting, celebrating or applying for work to the so-called “Green New Deal.” “Green” technology—throwback technology—can kill you.As in the electric grid emergency in Japan’s snowstorms in December, windmills are freezing up in Texas. That state’s 23% of rated electric power capacity which is wind, has largely stopped working, and more than 3 million Texans were without power Monday afternoon in near-zero temperatures. The Austin Statesman had reported Feb. 14 (“Frozen Wind Turbines Hamper Texas’ Power Output”) that wind power, usually rated at 25,100 MW in the state, was rated at just 12,000 MW on Sunday, and actually generating considerably less than that. The state’s regulator, Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), was conducting load-shedding operations and warning of potential blackouts, which became actual with 10,500 MW of customer load cut-off on Monday. Late Monday, rolling blackouts were beginning to affect the Southwest Power Pool, involving parts of 15 other states. The states of the Midwest, gripped by the same polar vortex cold, were saved from blackouts by coal. An energy attorney on the board of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners and the Missouri Public Service Commission, Terry Jarrett, wrote a Sunday, Feb. 14 column on the Upper Midwest situation for the Montgomery News, in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, called “Coal Rescues U.S. Power Grid During Polar Vortex.” The Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), which distributes power north from North Dakota south to Louisiana, in 15 U.S. states and Manitoba, Canada, said that on Feb. 10 coal was generating more than half of all power there in the polar vortex, some 41,000 out of 78,000 MW. Natural gas was generating 22,000 and nuclear 10,000 MW. Wind turbine output, predictably, fluctuated wildly, reaching 3,200 MW at most. Solar? 231 MW. “That means these much-vaunted renewable systems produced only about 4% of the electricity needed across 15 states,” Jarrett concluded. In Texas, some natural gas wellheads also froze, along with refining facilities in some locations. The great demand came both from the extraordinary cold, and from the freeze-up and failure of wind and solar power, the ready back-up power for which is almost always natural gas turbine electric plants. The Green New Deal has been coming at us for 20 years and more from an instigating center—where? In the British royal family, particularly Prince Charles, who is known along with his father Prince Philip for wishing, very publicly, that there were far fewer human beings on this planet than there are. Wind power is just one of the dangerous technological leaps backward it promotes. Just two weeks ago, a big Jan. 25-29 conference of the World Economic Forum, Europe’s center for the Green Deal, targeted “the cement, steel, aluminum and chemical industries, as well as the ships, planes, and trucks that move them.” It claimed these sectors “exceeded the total amount of carbon the world can emit.” And don’t get them started about food—the Chatham House/Royal Institute of International Affairs reported to that conference that you should eat no meat, only plant food, and less of that than you do now. Do you need any of these to live? Food? Electric power? Do you farm with animals? Work with chemicals or steel or cement? Stop kidding yourself that the Green New Deal is “infrastructure” and “jobs.” Put yourself in a car in Austin or Houston looking for heat in below-zero weather and to charge your phone. The Green New Deal is physical economic collapse, and deadly. What will save us? Cooperating with the other major countries that don’t accept this green nonsense—especially China and Russia. Build real infrastructure, especially nuclear and fusion power and space travel technology. Listen to the late Lyndon LaRouche, in a speech eight years ago, “No to the Green Policy; Revive the Credit System”: “So mankind has to change his policy: Dump the Green policy, which is presently the greatest single threat to humanity, that’s a killer! And we have to understand that it is the increase of man’s intelligence, which means also scientific intelligence, the ability to create, the ability to generate higher energy-flux densities per capita and per square kilometer of territory—these are the standards on which credit is generated. It’s to increase the population of the planet: increase it! Stop this killing people: increase it! Because we need more work done. We need, also, increases of the energy-flux density of the work being done. These are absolute necessities for us…. “So the point is, we need every human being. We need them to live longer and better. We need them to become more creative. We need to have their children better educated, and developed. We need an increase of the potential productivity of the human force, per capita and per square kilometer, and those are the missions that we must fulfill.”
In her weekly dialogue, Helga Zepp LaRouche warned that the totally unnecessary deaths and suffering in Texas and other U.S. states, due to a polar cold front, offer a sign of what will happen if the Great Reset and its Green New Deal are not stopped. These deaths are not the result of a "natural catastrophe", but a warning for the future if the takedown of coal and nuclear power electricity production is not reversed.
With 4 million Texans shivering in the dark last night as blackouts swept the state, no media will tell you why this is happening, but we will: It is the result of more than 40 years of neoliberal policies which deregulated energy markets for speculative profits — remember Enron? — and Green policies, which are shutting down coal, oil and gas and nuclear energy production facilities, and replacing them with less efficient, less reliable, more costly systems, such as windmills and solar panels. In Texas, which now gets 23% of its electricity needs from wind generators, the turbines froze, dramatically reducing electricity supply. The Davos "Great Reset" and "Green New Deal" will greatly increase the killing, unless we stop it!
Dave Christie interviews Paul Gallagher, co-editor Executive Intelligence Review, and Joel DeJean, LaRouche Organization Texas, on the multi-decade process of economic destruction that set the stage for the horrific conditions facing Texas currently.
Richard Black, Schiller Institute representative to the UN, addresses the myths regarding China's Belt and Road Initiative and the Green New Deal. Despite the lip service given to "green initiatives," the characteristic defining China's growing economic activity betrays the genocidal intentions of the Great Reset.
To protect a bankrupt financial system, the City of London and its allies in the Military-Industrial-Complex in the U.S. and NATO are demanding an end to sovereign governments, insisting that nations submit to their Great Reset -- which is a global central banker's dictatorship. Russia and China will not submit, putting us on a pathway to war in Ukraine and Taiwan. But such wars cannot be won, and could trigger nuclear war. The alternative was developed by Lyndon LaRouche: put the predatory financial institutions into bankruptcy, establish a New Bretton Woods financial system, and apply his Four Economic Laws to revive the American System of Physical Economy.
While some blindly believed that the United Kingdom under Prime Minister Johnson would form an alliance with the U.S. based on the shared national interests of two sovereign states, nothing could be further from the truth.
Paul Gallagher, co-editor of Executive Intelligence Review (EIR), discusses EIR's new report aimed to dismantle the genocidal intentions of the Great Reset. Watch out for new interviews to be released daily this week by the authors of the report. You can order the report here, "The Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Exposes the Green New Deal."
The LaRouche Organization today sponsored a public roundtable forum with experts on Russia, including former CIA officer Ray McGovern, former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel, Edward Lozansky, Alex Krainer, and Schiller Institute leaders Harley Schlanger, Diane Sare, and Helga Zepp-LaRouche,under the title “Worsening U.S.-Russian Relations—Reverse Them with New Paradigm, or Face Nuclear War.”The timing is crucial. In the February issue of the U.S. Naval Institute Proceedings, the Commander of the U.S. Strategic Command, Adm. Charles Richard, made the astonishing assertion that, “The U.S. military must shift its principal assumption from ‘nuclear employment is not possible’ to ‘nuclear employment is a very real possibility,’” This follows months of provocative military exercises along several of Russia’s border regions by nuclear capable bombers, ships and submarines, as well as the call by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for Ukraine to join NATO. The current international mobilization against Russia in regard to the escapades of dissident Alexey Navalny, a pathetic right-wing racist openly deployed by British and U.S. intelligence services, based on yet another fake analysis from Britain’s Porton Down lab accusing Russia of Navalny’s novichok poisoning, must be recognized as an effort to impose a color revolution on Moscow while preparing for war. On Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was asked by journalist Vladimir Solovyov, regarding the threat of new EU sanctions over the Navalny case, “Are we heading for a breach with the EU?” Lavrov replied: “We believe we would be ready for this. We are neighbors. Speaking collectively, they are our largest trade and investment partner. Many EU companies operate here; there are hundreds or even thousands of joint ventures. When a business benefits both sides, we will continue. I am sure that we have become fully self-sufficient in the defense sphere. We must also attain the same position in the economy to be able to act accordingly if we see again (we have seen this more than once) that sanctions are imposed in a sphere where they can create risks for our economy, including in the most sensitive areas such as the supply of component parts. We don’t want to be isolated from the world, but we must be prepared for this. If you want peace, prepare for war.” A parallel diabolical campaign against China, based on the lies peddled by disgraced former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, is being carried forward by Biden’s new State Department officials under Antony Blinken. As two U.S. aircraft carrier groups exercised in the South China Sea, a nuclear submarine passed through the Taiwan Strait, and Blinken expressed his agreement with Pompeo in the absurd declaration that China is committing genocide against the Uighurs. In fact the Uighur population in Xinjiang is increasing, all abject poverty has been eliminated among the Uighurs (as is true of all Chinese), and the economy is expanding rapidly. Biden held a two-hour phone call with President Xi Jinping, seen as relatively positive by the Chinese. However, if one considers that Donald Trump’s efforts to create friendly and productive relations with both Russia and China were squashed by the military-industrial complex, what is one to think of how things will go with the weak and increasingly senile President Biden? In the U.S., the farcical second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump ended as everyone knew it would, as the anti-Trump gang fell short by ten votes to convict Trump. The unconstitutional “show trial” succeeded, however, in its intended effect—to further polarize the nation into warring camps, as the City of London and Wall Street seize power over the U.S. economy from the nation’s elected representatives through the Green Finance scheme. This fascist operation is thoroughly exposed in the EIR Special Report released on Feb. 11, “The Great Leap Backwards—LaRouche Exposes the Green New Deal” All followers of The LaRouche Organization should get the report for themselves, and purchase extra copies to distribute to friends and political representatives.
Yesterday, we at The LaRouche Organization held a day-long live-stream event commemorating the second anniversary of the passing of Lyndon LaRouche. A memorial concert celebrating LaRouche’s life opened the event, which incorporated speeches, videos, and debate appearances by LaRouche himself, as well as reminiscences from his dear colleagues over the years—including his wife and collaborator Helga Zepp-LaRouche. The event took place against a dramatic world backdrop, in which the gross and manifest disparities between the narrative world and the real world demand press freedom to burst through the attempted control imposed by the legacy media and Big Tech companies. For example, the story of a U.S. Capitol Police Officer being killed by fire-extinguisher-wielding Trump “insurrectionists” is false. The supposedly unparalleled evil of Trump’s urging his supporters to “fight like hell” is belied by the mountain of footage presented at the impeachment trial, of Democrats using similar language. Other videos presented by Trump’s defense team showed the false framing of his Charlottesville “fine people” language, and the rank hypocrisy of Democrats expressing feigned outrage about challenging the results of an election.Firings and shamings for uttering secular blasphemy—“regardless of intent,” in the words of the New York Times—create a chilling effect on speech and encourage self-policing of thought itself. Lies about a Chinese plot to ensnare the world in debt are promoted to prevent the establishment of a new economic paradigm in the world. Project Veritas, a news outlet that specializes in undercover investigations, is the latest victim of the ongoing purge from Twitter of voices unwelcome to the Silicon Valley-Wall Street-intelligence slime-mold. And the Biden Administration’s decision to appeal the British decision to not extradite Julian Assange continues the assault on press liberties that Barack Obama advanced with his use of Espionage Act prosecutions. (Even Obama didn’t prosecute Assange.) Meanwhile, what is offered as the comforting balm of all things good and holy is actually the unsavory embrace of the British Empire’s “Great Reset”/”Green New Deal,” designed to reduce the world’s population, quickly, in the name of combatting climate change. Executive Intelligence Review’s powerful report, “The Great Leap Backward,” is now available to subscribers and will soon be available for individual purchase in both print and electronic form. To identify the incorrect axioms of one’s narrative world, to free oneself to better understand the real world, requires not only a creative method of resolving paradoxes—a method fostered by a hands-on, creative education based on recreating past discoveries—but also the staying power to do the long and hard work required to make that real world a better place. In his 1979 autobiography The Power of Reason, Lyndon LaRouche wrote about the great effects that can be achieved by an impassioned commitment: “As I gauged myself against great minds during my adolescent philosophical project, and have done so in reading and related experiences constantly ever since, and as I have had the opportunity to gauge myself against key figures of this century, including leading figures in various parts of the world among my contemporaries, I know the measure of existing men and women, those who are considered outstanding as well as others. In my own work, I know that my experience is that which on a relative scale of things is one of greatness. I know what the realized pinnacles of human potential development are in our time and, to large measure, in earlier times. I have, essentially, matched them. “Thus I can address a concerned parent, or a child, and inform them of the nature of greatness as it is experienced from the inside. “Apart from those exciting moments in which a valid new discovery of some exceptional usefulness ... there is no melodramatic glory in the process of greatness. Mostly, from moment to moment, greatness has outwardly an ordinary, homely appearance. “Greatness is reflected in particular in small decisions made from moment to moment. It is not seen often as capacity for occasional ‘big and important’ acts of melodramatic potential. It proceeds in a succession of little, moment-by-moment decisions, whose cumulative effect is to steer one’s development and the cumulative effect of one’s actions in a certain way, so that after a passage of time, something important, something cumulatively important has happened.... “It is the persisting, growing determination to stubbornly pursuing a determination to reach that which may be seemingly impossible, yet necessary.... “Greatness is a quality of concentration span which is sustainable across decades, which can alter its steps without changing its course or objective.... “At many points, from childhood on, there were always persons who seemed to be walking the same sort of homely steps I walked. yet, in most cases, they have fallen behind somehow along the way.... “It is the difference ... between the person whose steps are governed by a commitment to a course and a destination, and one whose course and destination are usually the unforeseen consequence of decisions one at a time concerning individual steps. “From moment to moment, both persons’ steps are usually equally ordinary, equally homely in overall character.” There are many moments of greatness in Lyndon LaRouche’s life—major breakthroughs in thought, diplomacy, science, music, and policy. Such singularities are driven by an ongoing commitment, including seemingly small steps. Too often, attempts at political organizing are held back by a concern that they will not be big enough, or are too small to achieve their intended aim. But where will you be led by a decades-long commitment? What will guide your steps today? Next year? The Schiller Institute is taking a step today to deflate the narrative world containing arch super-villains Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping while presenting a compelling vision for a future real world, in a forum entitled “Worsening U.S.-Russian Relations—Reverse Them with a New Paradigm, or Face Nuclear War,” chaired by LaRouche’s closest collaborator, Helga Zepp-LaRouche. Please join us.
“The U.S. military must shift its principal assumption from ‘nuclear employment is not possible’ to ‘nuclear employment is a very real possibility.’” — Adm. Richards, head of U.S. Strategic Command This astonishing utterance from the head of U.S. Strategic Command, Adm. Charles Richard, so soon after President Biden’s takeover, tells us that something potentially much worse lies below the worsening of U.S.-Russia relations. “There is a real possibility,” Admiral Richard wrote in the February U.S. Naval Institute Proceedings, “that a regional crisis with Russia or China could escalate quickly to a conflict involving nuclear weapons.” And this is only one of several shocking indications pointing in the same direction since Biden’s inauguration. They include the blowup of the latest “Navalny” attempt at a color revolution to overthrow President Vladimir Putin in Russia and the Jan. 31 call by the Atlantic Council (a major NATO organization) for a U.S. campaign “laser-focused,” on toppling China’s President Xi Jinping and “his inner circle.” Helga Zepp-LaRouche, the founder of the Schiller Institute, will lead a virtual roundtable discussion this Saturday, Feb. 13 at 1:00 p.m. eastern, with a number of strategic experts, on how the anti-Russia and anti-China campaigns in the West have been created, and how to reverse them.
In commemoration of Lyndon LaRouche's passing on February 12, 2019, we invite you to meet, or reacquaint yourself with the mind and the personality of one of the greatest geniuses of the last 100 years. Genius without beauty is not genius at all. Join our LaRouche marathon, and bring your friends young and old alike.
Two years ago, Lyndon LaRouche passed away, after an extraordinary life, during which he played a leading role in shaping every significant strategic battle on the planet. To commemorate that life, we are offering a LaRouche Memoriam, a 24-hour marathon of videos featuring some of LaRouche's presentations, to provide our viewers with an opportunity to benefit from the voluminous wealth of ideas he contributed.
Join us LIVE on Thursday, February 11 at 9pm EST. Lyndon LaRouche’s movement on Thursday will publish a thorough unmasking and attack on the Green New Deal, in a 50-page EIR Special Report what it will do to our economy. This is not by any means the first such attack on Green economic and technological pretensions by LaRouche. But this time everyone we’re addressing ourselves to, knows that talk about a “green” new economy surrounds them; they either stop it now, or never. Many thought President Donald Trump had stopped the Green New Deal, or would not let it happen. Now they know it’s up to them.
In the last days, spaceships launched by the United Arab Emirates and China entered Mars orbit. Next week, NASA's Perseverance Mission will join them, as they will all engage in projects preparing for future missions, including landing human beings on Mars. These bold projects demonstrate what is possible when nations direct physical resources and human creativity to missions of discovery, with potentially great benefits to all mankind. In contrast, the self-proclaimed "greatest deliberative body" in the world, the U.S. Senate, is engaged in a show trial, a highly partisan exercise designed to isolate former President Trump, demonizing him and his supporters, and further polarize the nation. Better for all that we keep our focus on the stars!
