It was announced today that Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will meet with China’s two leading foreign policy spokesman, Yang Jiechi, the director of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission of the Chinese Communist Party, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, on March 18 in Alaska. The meeting will follow a visit to Japan and South Korea next week by Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. The importance of this U.S.-China meeting can not be exaggerated, although the outcome is totally unpredictable. It could be a promising step toward world peace and development, or the exact opposite, a carving in stone of the extreme racist and xenophobic hysteria against all things Chinese which dominated the last year of the Trump Administration under Mike Pompeo, and which has been fully endorsed by Blinken and Sullivan in their “Interim National Security Strategic Guidance,” released by the White House on March 3. President Biden himself expressed one of the few cogent concepts of his Presidency following his two-hour phone call with President Xi Jinping on Feb. 10, when he addressed U.S.-China relations during his speech to the Munich Security Conference on Feb. 19: “It is not about pitting East against West. It’s not about, ‘we want a conflict.’ We want a future where all nations are able to freely determine their own path without a threat of violence or coercion. We cannot and must not return to the reflexive opposition and rigid blocs of the Cold War.” The danger is that Blinken and Sullivan have pledged to “hold countries like China to account,” and “ensure that America, not China, sets the international agenda,” Such British imperial thinking, geopolitics at its worst, comes from a mindset which rejects any thought that nations have the right to “freely determine their own path without a threat of violence or coercion,” as Biden had expressed. Worse, the Commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Adm. Philip Davidson, testifying before the Senate Armed Services Committee March 9, demonstrated the now common practice of “projection,” ascribing to China (as also to Russia) precisely the unilateral actions taken by themselves: “The Communist Party of China promotes a closed and an authoritarian system through internal oppression and external aggression,” Davidson said. “China’s pernicious approach to the region includes a whole-of-party effort to coerce, corrupt, and collapse governments, businesses, organizations and the people of the Indo-Pacific.” This comes from a military leader of a country which has militarily overthrown governments, destroyed their economies, placed puppet regimes in place, leaving their economies in ruins, across the Middle East, while imposing unilateral sanctions on dozens of countries around the world. It is certainly the case that China and Russia are building up their military capacities, and have pledged cooperation with each other if they are attacked. Is it not obvious to all, however, that they are mobilizing within their own borders, while the Anglo-American war party has military bases in 80 countries around the world, while moving NATO up to the Russian border and even into Asia? Most of the world’s nations refuse to “take sides” against China, and in fact most look to China and Russia as the only source for the required human support in this moment of existential crisis for mankind—access to the Russian and Chinese vaccines while the West has hoarded their plentiful supplies; infrastructure development through the Belt and Road Initiative while the West not only denies large-scale infrastructure to the nations of the South, but even acts to sabotage Chinese and Russian efforts to offer such development. Americans are now confronting a collapse of their historical character—the economy is unraveling; the financial system is a massive bubble ready to explode; the constitutional guarantees of freedom of speech are being openly flaunted as censorship of speech and even of ideas has become the rule of the day; the drug-infested inner-cities are over-run with desperate homeless people; and, most important, the promise of a future of progress and development is being openly destroyed under the fake Green New Deal. These Green fascists no longer espouse the Biblical concept of mankind’s dominion over nature, but rather the forced imposition of de-industrialization and de-population by the bankrupt financial institutions of the “Great Reset.” The situation is dire, but it is precisely such conditions in which people can finally see the urgency of throwing away their prejudices and their failed axioms, to look for the truth outside of the blatantly lying media, and to take personal responsibility for the fate of mankind. The Schiller Institute and The LaRouche Organization are calling on all patriots and all citizens of the world to join a conference on March 20-21, with speakers from around the world, under the theme World at a Crossroad: Two Months into the New U.S. Administration. Register for the conference here, and invite others to join. Face the threat of a new Dark Age with courage and optimism that a new Renaissance for all mankind is both necessary and possible.
In her weekly dialogue, Helga Zepp-LaRouche developed how open dialogue, rather than profiled reaction, is key to taking on the crises confronting humanity. The three major themes she addressed are: growing opposition to the Great Reset/Green New Deal; how the mistakes made in western countries in dealing with the pandemic — including denial — have led to a deepening crisis, as the "third wave" is now hitting western Europe; and how the anti-China propaganda of the unilateralist War Hawks is putting the west into a dangerous flight forward, based on false propaganda coming from the Military Industrial Complex. She urged viewers to participate in the upcoming two-day online Schiller Institute conference, which will open with a panel on reversing the decline of classical culture in the West, which has contributed to the gullibility of many to the lies coming from the war hawks and neolibs.
The release on March 3 of the Biden administration's “Interim National Security Strategic Guidance” might make one wonder if Donald Trump's Secretary of State, the unhinged War Hawk Mike Pompeo, is still making the policy decisions for the United States. Pompeo spent most of 2020 banging the war drums, completely ignoring that his boss, President Trump, had been elected by saying he intended to "end the endless wars." In his last events as Secretary, Pompeo pushed for more sanctions against Russia and China; threatened Iran, Venezuela and North Korea; named the Houthis of Yemen "terrorists", which threatened to cut off what little food aid was being delivered to that nation, putting millions of children in danger of starvation; and gloated as the "Caesar sanctions" against Syria caused food shortages there, raising the hopes of the neocons that regime change might still come to Syria. Pompeo may be gone, but Biden's team, led by his Secretary of State Blinken, is sticking with the British imperial geopolitical doctrines which threaten to lead to World War III. Blinken demonstrated what the Chinese bashed as "imperial arrogance" when he fulminated against what he calls China's "aggressive" military posturing. He warned that China has the economic, diplomatic, military and technical power "to seriously challenge the stable and open international system -- all the rules, values and relationships that make the world work the way we want it to." Nearly the same language was directed against Russia by Colin Kahl, Biden's representative at the Pentagon, who accused Russia of seeking to "undermine the rules-based international order", and shows "blatant disregard for the sovereignty of its neighbors." One might ask about the Biden administration's regard for sovereignty, when it launched a strike on an Iraqi militia base in Syria, killing at least 22 militants, who were engaged in successful attacks against Islamic terrorists of Al Qaeda, ISIS and Al Nusra, who are supposed to be the enemies of the U.S.! The national security paper released by the new administration demonstrates the continuity of the "Military Industrial Complex" (MIC) in strategic policy, regardless of which party controls the White House. Its goals and language are primarily unchanged from the National Security Doctrine released by the Trump administration in 2018, in identifying Russia and China as threats to the West. It states that this administration intends to gather the world’s “democracies” into an alliance against Russia and China and their “malign” influence on the world. Giving lip service to cooperation with “allies” to fight China and Russia, they say the U.S. will “reinvigorate and modernize our alliances and partnerships around the world.” However, one must consider that if an “ally” crosses Washington, such as Germany’s refusal to cancel the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, they will also be hit with sanctions. It continues: “Our democratic alliances enable us to present a common front, produce a unified vision, and pool our strength to promote high standards, establish effective international rules, and hold countries like China to account. That is why we will reaffirm, invest in, and modernize the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and our alliances with Australia, Japan, and the Republic of Korea....” In Asia, the countries targeted for “partnership” include India, New Zealand, Vietnam and all of ASEAN, and the Pacific Island states. Since when does the "North Atlantic" Treaty Organization consider the Indo-Pacific region to be part of its military mandate!
The tsunami of liquidity flowing from central banks into the hands of speculators is setting off an increase in commodity prices, which could soon hit producers, and then be passed on to consumers. Concern over the reaction to this is why global financial cartel players are trying to rush through the Great Reset, which includes a new bubble in "Green" investments. But, as we predicted, there is growing opposition to this foolishness, as U.S. states have filed a lawsuit against Biden's Executive Order mandating a Green reset, and Putin made clear he will not allow Russia to be subject to the blackouts which hit Texas due to green energy policies and a deregulated electricity market.
Unless Americans and Europeans mobilize against the Great Reset and Green New Deal, we will soon be entering the greatest Depression in world history. Most western governments, including the Biden administration, are committed to dismantle the physical, goods-producing economies which remain, in favor of an anti-scientific fraud of achieving "carbon net zero", which will doom most of humanity to death by starvation, new pandemics, and geopolitical wars. There is an alternative, drafted by the LaRouche movement, "How to Restart the U.S. Economy: The World Needs 1.5 Billion New Productive Jobs". It is time we feed the people, and not the City of London/Wall Street predators!
A desperate financial oligarchy is acting in the face of a collapse of its financial/economic system as it has in the past, that is, Preparing for War! There are several fronts in this pre-war escalation: targeting Russia and China; expanding existing wars in the pivot region of southwest Asia; and increasing the presence and power of the security state against its citizens, who are tired of endless wars and austerity. The same British geopolitical doctrine which led to two destructive world wars and the long Cold War in the last century is being applied again today, in defense of a rotting global economy. And both U.S. political parties are under the control of those corrupt financiers and corporate conglomerates which are trying to impose that British geopolitical doctrine, through the Great Reset.
Karel Verecken, editor of Nouvelle Solidarite, discusses how BlackRock became a central player in global finance following the financial crash that began in 2007, all in service to the oligarchical interests of the British Monarchy. Karel’s article titled, “BlackRock’s March to World Power,” is featured in in the EIR Special Edition, "The Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Exposes the Green New Deal."
Hundreds of America’s leading scientists, including six Nobel Prize recipients in chemistry, physics and medicine, have issued two powerful denunciations of the FBI’s criminal prosecution of hundreds of Chinese scientists in the United States, including American citizens of Chinese descent, as well as Americans who have collaborated with Chinese institutions for the advancement of human knowledge. These attacks, directed by FBI Director Christopher Wray, in collaboration with the psychotic attacks on China from President Trump’s Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, were exposed in the EIR Special Report of Nov. 22, 2019, “Stop the McCarthyite Witch-Hunt Against China and President Trump.” Now, professors from leading U.S. universities have issued two public letters defending targets of this atrocity—one from Harvard, one from MIT—spelling out clearly that the charges are false, are politically motivated, and go far beyond the persecution of these scientists and educators, but are in fact direct attacks on science itself, and on America’s leadership in international scientific research. The FBI targets in question are Professor Charles Lieber, Chairman of the Harvard chemistry department and a world leader in nanotechnology research, and Professor Gang Chen, the Chairman of the MIT mechanical engineering department, also a leader in nanotechnology. Lieber, described by the 42 signers of the March 1 letter as “one of the great scientists of his generation,” was arrested in January 2020 for infractions regarding his federal reporting of his participation in China’s “Thousand Talents” program, which aims to recruit scientists from around the world to work in China or in cooperation with Chinese scientific research centers. There were no secrets involved, only technical infractions normally simply corrected, but now criminalized, through a “tragically misguided government campaign,” which “reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of modern science,” Lieber’s defenders write. This campaign, they add, “is threatening not only the United States position as a world leader in academic research, but science itself.” While Lieber is the “most notable” scientist targeted by the FBI, they declared, “these prosecutions are rampant.” Over 170 members of the MIT faculty signed a similar letter defending Prof. Gang Chen, arrested on Jan. 14, 2021. He faces similarly false charges which could sentence him to 30 years in prison and a huge fine. “We are troubled that the complaints against Professor Chen vilifies what would be considered normal academic and research activities, including promoting MIT’s global mission,” the letter reads. It continues: “Because America’s competitiveness depends so heavily on scientific and technological talent from abroad, its national security is harmed by the message that the U.S. government will question the loyalty of foreign scientists.” On Jan. 5, 2021, over 100 individuals and institutions representing Asian-Americans wrote to incoming President Joe Biden urging him to take steps to combat what they described as “pervasive racial bias and targeting of Asian Americans and Asian immigrant scientists, researchers and students,” and stating that the FBI campaign was pressuring universities and research institutions to participate in racial, ethnic, and national origin profiling. While President Biden has made statements opposing a return to Cold War blocs and racial profiling, the fact is that his State Department and National Security Agency are continuing, and even expanding, the Pompeo/Wray targeting of all things Chinese, and similarly with Russia, as documented below. The moral, physical and economic decay of the United States under the Malthusian Green New Deal and the xenophobic mobilization for war with Russia and China, must be reversed, quickly, if civilization is not to descend into a new Dark Age. The Schiller Institute is holding a virtual conference on March 20-21 to address this global existential crisis, with speakers from around the world, informing citizens of the dangers, while posing the solutions developed by The LaRouche Organization over the past 50 years—restoring the American System commitment to international cooperation in pushing forward on the frontiers of human knowledge, and launching a new Renaissance to restore beauty to the contemporary cultural wasteland. Press statement by Helga Zepp-LaRouche Feb. 24, 2021—Helga Zepp-LaRouche, the founder and international leader of the international Schiller Institute and widow of the renowned American economist and statesman Lyndon LaRouche, announced today that, through counsel, she has issued a letter to the Lyndon LaRouche Political Action Committee (LPAC) and its Treasurer, Barbara Boyd, demanding that they “immediately cease and desist, both now and in the future” from “using Mr. LaRouche’s name, likeness, and potentially other confusingly similar terms.” The letter states that such use “is likely to cause confusion among consumers since they may believe that you [Boyd] (as an individual), LPAC, and/or the goods and services being offered are somehow associated with, licensed by, or authorized by our Client [Helga Zepp-LaRouche].” Among the remedies required are that Boyd and LPAC “Immediately take all necessary actions to change the name of your political action committee, and the name of any Affiliated Entities, to one that does not include the term ‘Lyndon,’ ‘LaRouche,’ or any formative or iteration thereof, and agree to refrain from using the infringing terms now and in the future on any website, company e-mails, letter head, advertisements, or other marketing literature or correspondence.” To provide the background and context for this action, Mrs. Zepp-LaRouche issued the following statement:“What had been since 2004 the official website of the political action committee founded by my late husband Lyndon LaRouche, the Lyndon LaRouche Political Action Committee (LPAC), has had its content taken over by a group of individuals associated with Barbara Boyd, the Treasurer of that PAC, in a direction which I consider contrary to the central policies that my husband stood for. While my husband was still alive, he was responsible for the overall policy direction of the PAC. But since he passed away in February 2019, Mrs. Boyd and her associates, without my permission, have taken over the content of the website and the PAC’s activities as a whole and have embarked on a path that I believe misrepresents both my and Mr. LaRouche’s positions. “My requests for the PAC to adhere to the policies of the LaRouche movement and to not associate the LaRouche name with policies that were inconsistent with our views, which started to occur within the PAC immediately after the death of Mr. LaRouche, were rebuked to such an extent that Mrs. Boyd and a group of individuals sharing her views issued a document in November 2020 proclaiming their ‘irrevocable’ independence from the leadership of the LaRouche movement, myself included, founded by my husband over 50 years ago. “While paying lip service to some of Lyndon LaRouche’s ideas, and using video footage of him, in reality the political positions of the PAC increasingly diverged from the policies of the LaRouche movement and my late husband by, for example, excluding any substantive evaluation of the international strategic situation, in favor of focusing almost entirely on internal U.S. politics, principally on issues that were in line with the policies of Donald Trump. They increasingly failed to publish articles and videos that were critical of Trump on topics on which Lyndon LaRouche had personally frequently criticized Trump, such as his praise of the Wall Street financial bubble; the anti-China policies that came to dominate his presidency; and so on. For example: “In a Jan. 26, 2021 video posted on the LPAC site under the headline ‘Make Impeachment Drive Backfire, Build Movement to Rescue Republic,’ Barbara Boyd stated: ‘If you believe they [people] are beasts and that you can have a social credit system, which is really what we’re putting into place here with the cancel culture—if you behave certain ways, you get social credits for doing x, y, z, and w; if you’re nasty or make stupid comments, or step out of line, you get negative credits. That’s what they do in China. That’s what they do in any totalitarian society.’ “These positions reflect the beliefs of Mrs. Boyd, not Mr. LaRouche or the LaRouche movement. I disagree fully with that characterization of China, and Lyndon LaRouche expressed beliefs to the contrary of this characterization repeatedly throughout his life. “As the mischaracterizations of Mr. LaRouche’s political positions grew, I and the vast majority of the members of the LaRouche movement, both in the United States and internationally, felt we had no other choice than to support the creation of a new organization and associated website: ‘The LaRouche Organization’ (TLO), founded in December 2020, to ensure Mr. LaRouche’s name and likeness are only associated with his true policies and positions. The difference between TLO and the PAC becomes clear if, as one example, one compares the intention expressed in the TLO founding statement ‘Who We Are,’ which says: “‘The sole purpose of The LaRouche Organization (TLO) is the dissemination of the ideas of Lyndon LaRouche and the spread of his life’s work, his analytical and scientific method of thinking, with the intention of realizing the solutions he offered to the many crises now facing mankind.’ “Contrast this to the February 14 ‘marching orders’ expressed on the LPAC site under the rubric ‘Your Role in the “New Politics”’: ‘Do battle for the Republican Party; force the traitors and the “weak ones” out, and restore it to the tradition of Abraham Lincoln.’ “Mrs. Boyd and her associates launched a redesigned website for the PAC in February 2021, which notably excludes two pages or topics which were formerly there: “First, the extremely rich documentation of the 40 years of organizing activities that Lyndon LaRouche and his international associates were involved in across five continents of the planet. Intentionally or not, I believe that removing that history gives the false impression that Mr. LaRouche was only concerned about matters in the U.S. This negates his passionate commitment to mankind as a whole. “Second, the new PAC website also omits the record of the role of Mr. LaRouche and his international movement in the evolution of a new paradigm around the New Silk Road. Mr. LaRouche wrote numerous economic programs for Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe beginning in the 1970s, and he spent a good portion of his life working and campaigning in and for the development of these countries. “Mrs. Boyd and her associates have every right to establish a political action committee to express the views of Mrs. Boyd; but I believe they do a grave disservice to the late Lyndon LaRouche by misrepresenting — by commission and omission — his views by associating his name with their endeavor. For all of these reasons, we have hired legal counsel to stop all use of Lyndon LaRouche’s name and likeness by the PAC and to preserve the integrity of his vast work.” For further information: press@laroucheorganization.com or (551) 209-3978

China’s annual “Two Sessions” began March 4, as Premier Li Keqiang gave the “Work Report,” the overview of China’s plans for the future—in this case, the 14th Five Year Plan which begins this year, and a perspective for 2050. Following up the historic completion of the project to eliminate abject poverty altogether from the entire nation of 1.4 billion people—accomplished through a combination of infrastructure development even in the most desolate areas of the country, building new cities with millions of new urban jobs, introducing modern agricultural techniques, providing adequate health and education facilities for all, and more—they now have launched a national “Rural Revitalization” project to raise the standard of living and the productivity of the rural communities, and to assure there is no back-sliding into poverty. R&D is to be expanded by 7%, to close the “tech gap” and break the “choke points” created by the sanctions and the overt attacks on the tech sector by the U.S. He Lifang, the head of the National Development and Reform Commission, identified the primary areas for expanded investment: quantum information, interstellar exploration, energy and food security, and industrial supply chains. In the U.S., on the other hand, Joe Biden is not to be found. He has held no press conferences, while his totally inexperienced Vice President Kamala Harris is handling his relations with senior foreign leaders, including Emmanuel Macron, Bibi Netanyahu, Justin Trudeau, and Scott Morrison. Biden has handed over the reins of the economy to a cartel of Wall Street and City of London financial institutions, which are imposing the Green New Deal—cutting off credit to fossil fuels, industry and agriculture, under the pseudo-scientific hoax of carbon-induced climate change. The Malthusians behind this plan are, at the same time, working hand-in-glove with the military-industrial complex to continue and expand the military confrontation with both Russia and China launched by Barack Obama and continued in the Trump Administration despite Trump’s stated intention of being “friends” with the other two great powers. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on March 3 revealed his British Imperial mentality; “China is the only country with the economic, diplomatic, military, and technological power to seriously challenge the stable and open international system—all the rules, values, and relationships that make the world work the way we want it to.” Biden’s choice to run planning at the Pentagon, Colin Kahl, told the Congress March 4 that the Biden Administration will fully endorse the 2018 National Defense Strategy, which “accurately identifies the strategic competition with China and Russia as the primary challenge animating the global security environment.” On Russia, he lied: “Russian behavior indicates it seeks to undermine and overturn the rules-based international order established during the post World War II period,” accusing Moscow of “blatant disregard for the sovereignty of its neighbors”—this from the people who have bombed multiple nations (that pose no threat to the U.S. or to anyone else) into oblivion, without even pretending to follow the U.S. Constitutional restraints on waging war. These same people are now standing by while their bombs and their sanctions have unleashed one of the greatest genocides in modern history in Yemen, Syria, and more. The target is development itself, as has now been identified by the governments in Russia and China. While the financial bubble in the Western banks has demanded the printing of trillions upon trillions of dollars over the past years to keep them afloat, leaving no credit for the real economy, the policy of these imperial monsters is not to compete, but to destroy their competitors’ development. Consider the unprovoked attacks on Huawei, on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, and the new “yellow-peril” racism of the anti-China McCarthyism. The target is the New Silk Road—the Belt and Road Initiative—which is taking the Chinese economic miracle to the impoverished nations of the Global South, giving the formerly colonized nations their first realistic hope to escape from poverty and become modern industrial nations. The British Empire will not allow it. Prince Charles insists that such growth will expand carbon in the atmosphere and burn up the world. Does anyone really believe this is “science?” The Schiller Institute is gathering leading spokesmen from Russia, China, Africa, Europe and the Americas for a dialogue on meeting this existential crisis for mankind, with the idea of “peace through development” presented by Lyndon LaRouche over the past fifty years, by looking ahead to the next fifty years, to create the necessary revolution in human affairs to both meet these crises together as a human race, and to unleash the creative potential of mankind, to create a world worthy of the dignity of man. Join us for three panels: Reversing the Cultural Wasteland—The Urgency of a New Renaissance The Strategic Crisis Facing the Human Race The Indo-Pacific and Southwest Asia: Pivots for War or Peaceful Development with the New Silk Road
The wishful thinking of some, that a force of "White Hats" would come in and sweep away the "bad guys" in a series of mass arrests — an event predicted to occur by "Q" and similar "prophets" during the last three years, with the most recent failed forecast being for March 4 — has proven to be a fantasy, as we have been saying. Instead what is needed is a change in strategic thinking by Americans to a higher level, so that solutions embodied in the Four Economic Laws of Lyndon LaRouche can be implemented, and building popular support for launching a cultural Renaissance, which is the mission of the Schiller Institute, can occur. Can we do this? Wishful thinking must be replaced by serious organizing, if we intend to prevent the growing danger of war and the consolidation of a killer global banker's dictatorship.
March 5 -- In an online conference on February 27 sponsored by the Schiller Institute, Mike Robinson, a journalist and radio talk show host from the United Kingdom, presented a compelling overview of how the U.K. Foreign Office and British intelligence services have been using leading British media to target Russia and other countries for regime change. While anyone who is aware of the role media have played in the post-World War II world in manipulating popular opinion would not be surprised by his report, what is shocking is how successful the sponsors of these programs have been in keeping the story out of the press. The suppression of this story has been necessary for this operation to achieve its goal, of building an "enemy image" of Russia as an aggressive, authoritarian "malign" actor, to justify a continuing policy of imperial geopolitical confrontation and military buildup, which threatens to break out into a general war.Robinson began by pointing to a 2018 article in the {Daily Express} which reported that the Foreign Office set up a Department of Counter Disinformation and Media Development, to serve as a "counterstrike against Russian propaganda." Its purported mission was "to constrain the Russian government's ability to use disinformation and propaganda." With a relatively modest sum of 100 million Pounds to spend over five years, its mission was to "counter disinformation" coming from the Russian government. Its mission included laying the groundwork for isolating Russia, by building "independent media" in the Baltic states, Ukraine and other former Soviet republics, so that "independent media serving Russian-speaking audiences can flourish." The {Daily Express} article was followed by leaks of additional documents hacked by "Anonymous", which exposed the "Institute for Statecraft" as a Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) umbrella for an operation called the "Integrity Initiative" (II). The II, according to the documents released by "Anonymous", recruited and deployed "clusters" of "influencers", which operated out of British embassies in many European countries -- including Germany, France, Spain and Italy -- as well as in the U.S. and Canada. These influencers are described in internal documents as "competent, committed and well-connected individuals", who were deployed to accomplish "anti-Russian goals," such as exposing "Russian propaganda". Included in II's operations was a plan "to inform Russian citizens, [to] reinforce democratic opposition." As for its domestic operations, the II produced concocted stories to convince people in government, think tanks and journalism that the U.K. is "under concerted, deliberate hybrid attack by Russia."Robinson reports that the initial exposure of this operation, including that done by himself and some colleagues, resulted in shutting down the II. Yet, the FCO has not only continued such operations, but has been expanding them, contracting with British media giants Reuters and the British Broadcast Company (BBC). Recent stories placed in the BBC claim to expose Russian agents targeting COVID-19 vaccine development, and include typically unsubstantiated charges that Russia was involved in trying to rig the 2014 referendum vote on Scottish independence, and the 2016 Brexit vote. These charges were contained in a July 2020 report, the "Russia Report", which was presented to the Parliament, with "evidence" provided by the usual cast of anti-Russian operatives, including Chris Donnelly, the former head of the II; Bill Browder, the City of London-backed swindler responsible for fraudulent charges against Russia, which led to passage of sanctions under the "Magnitsky Act"; MI6 mouthpiece at the {Guardian}, Luke Harding; and Christopher Steele, the notorious liar whose "pee-pee dossier" was at the heart of the phony Russiagate narrative used in a four-year campaign to remove President Trump, in which he portrays him as a blackmailed "puppet of Vladimir Putin." After II was shuttered, this network continued its work through a "Rapid Response Unit" in the British cabinet, claiming that it was countering narratives planted by "Russians" in social media. The "77th Brigade" was specifically established to monitor social media, and was staffed by the same people who previously working for II. BBC and Reuters: Arms Of FCO And MI6 Robinson's reporting incorporated that done by Grayzone founder and investigative journalist Max Blumenthal, an American, whose article "Reuters, BBC in Covert UK Program to Push Western Agenda" was published on February 22 in {Consortium News}.
Join us LIVE on Thursday at 9pm EST. In 2006, Lyndon LaRouche wrote: “The point of principle is, that, as I taught my students decades ago, you could not have had a ten-cent cup of nightly coffee served in even a cheap Manhattan diner, without a measurably global conspiracy among all the elements of action which are expressed in the presence of that hot, steaming cup at that location at that time.” In other words, the entire world's economy is necessary to produce even a simple cup of coffee. The inability of many to see that Mike Pompeo has been and continues to be a supporter of the geopolitical doctrine which leads to the "endless wars" which President Trump pledged to end, is a strategic vulnerability that allows the Military Industrial Complex to keep us engaged in those wars.
After the U.S. withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, Iran is being told that it must return entirely to the agreement before the U.S. will rejoin it. In Syria, Biden last week launched a bombing attack that left two dozen dead; far from preventing further attacks, it draws on still others, such as the ten missiles launched at a U.S. base in Iraq. Sanctions by the U.S. and barbaric attacks by Saudi Arabia have brought Yemen to an unimaginably perilous situation, with great portions of its population facing food insecurity and starvation. Why is all of this happening? Is this all an unfortunate historical coincidence? Does anyone benefit from such chaos? Let’s consider Southwest Asia in the context of the future of the world. The World Land-Bridge proposal of the Lyndon and Helga LaRouche and the Schiller Institute sees a great potential for the world through the creation of infrastructure- and technology-focused development corridors, linking the nations of the world not through the seas (although maritime trade will continue to be extremely important), but through creating and liberating the potential of inland development, through the creation of a better infrastructure platform, of an environment unlocking new levels of productivity. Southwest Asia is a crossroads of the world, possessing a significant youth population, and able to see enormous growth. Who benefits from preventing such a future? Then consider the cases of Russia, which has with great effort restored its dignity as a nation—an independent and sovereign nation—after the “shock therapy” depredations of the 1990s, and in the face of an expanding NATO, drawing ever closer to its borders over the past three decades. Is Russia your enemy? Why? Last, look to China. It has seen economic growth, improvements in lifespan and health, and enormous social advancement over the past few decades. Possessed of significant foreign reserves, a healthy physical economy, and the resources and intention to develop other markets and nations around the world, China has become a major player in infrastructure and manufacturing development in such parts of the world as Africa. How does the British financial-military-intelligence empire see Southwest Asia? Russia’s independence? China’s growth? Listen to the words of U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken, speaking Wednesday: “The challenge posed by China is different. China is the only country with the economic, diplomatic, military, and technological power to seriously challenge … the rules, values, and relationships that make the world work the way we want it to…. Our relationship with China will be competitive when it should be, collaborative when it can be, and adversarial when it must be…. “That requires working with allies and partners … because where we have pulled back, China has filled in. It requires standing up for our values when human rights are abused in Xinjiang or when democracy is trampled in Hong Kong, because if we don’t, China will act with even greater impunity.” The Chinese daily Global Times has responded sharply to efforts by the U.S. (acting in British interests) to restrain China’s growth, such as through trade restrictions, writing: "Restricting China from the perspective of intellectual property rights protection is different from jeopardizing China’s scientific and technological research and development capabilities. The former is part of the intellectual property rights protection regime, while the latter is an evil result of the geopolitical mentality. “China has 1.4 billion people, more than the West combined, and much more than the population of the major Western countries combined. China’s development is the grandest project of the global human rights cause…. It is malicious to take tough measures to suppress the ability of developing countries, and to tell large countries like China that ‘you deserve to be poor’…. “This kind of malicious policy cannot be followed up in a broad and lasting way in the 21st century. We hope the U.S. ruling team can see clearly the general trend, stop talking about human rights when it is trying to deprive the sacred rights of 1.4 billion Chinese people…. At last, we have to say that such evil is doomed to failure in the 21st century.” China is not the enemy of the “West.” Neither is Russia. The common enemy faced by all people of the world is the Satanic, anti-human ideology that says that growth itself is evil, by virtue of its changing the “natural” state of the world—whether through claims of catastrophic climate change, of doomsday destruction of biodiversity through using land to grow food, or through the more overtly religious-like beliefs of considering human beings as essentially equivalent to animals, under the watchful reign of a jealous Mother Earth who must be placated by pledging obedience to her dictates (as interpreted by such gruesome priests as Larry Fink, Mark Carney, and David Attenborough). To overcome this death-cult, the nations of the world can throw off the chains of the Paris Climate Accord, the blinders of geopolitical conflict, and the abusive concept of limits to growth—to instead collaborate on the opportunities that lie all around us to build the infrastructure and productive economies to develop the world, master the secrets of atomic fusion, and chart a course to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
While there are still questions about where the Biden administration is heading in strategic policy, there are some very real reasons for concern. There is the threat of mass starvation in Yemen, and the growing danger of food shortages in Syria, due to sanctions; last week’s U.S. military strike on a base in northeast Syria; new sanctions against Russia over the fake human rights issue of Navalny; and the intent to expand NATO into the “Indo-Pacific region”, as part of a plan to “encircle and contain” China.
As documented in EIR’s Special Report “The Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Exposes the Green New Deal”, the culmination of a decades’ long effort by the British Royal Family and its City of London financial arm to dramatically reduce the world’s population is now the controlling agenda for world economic policy. Following the recent planning session of the Davos “World Economic Forum” billionaires to implement the “Great Reset,” the London-centered powers are aiming to shrink the world food supply, in addition to shutting down industry and manufacturing. Soon, you may find yourself charged with the crime of “ecocide,” if you give meat or milk products to your children!
“The worst famine the world has seen in decades” is the way UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres decried what is happening in Yemen. His remarks came at a March 1 international donor’s conference, which failed to raise even half of the $3.85 billion in pledges for which it had aimed. One of the more disgusting ironies was that the single largest pledge to “help” ($430 million) came from Saudi Arabia, which is principally responsible for carrying out the British imperial policy of war and economic blockade to wipe out the Yemeni nation.According to the latest UN data, more than 16 million Yemenis—about half the 29-million population—will face hunger this year, and nearly 50,000 are already starving to death in famine-like conditions. The UN warned that 400,000 Yemeni children under the age of five could die from acute malnutrition. Former U.S. congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has rightly charged that “[imposition of] sanctions similar to what the Saudi-U.S. alliance employed in Yemen is causing death and suffering for millions of innocent Syrians.” Helga Zepp-LaRouche today emphasized that these are intentional policies, just as the Green New Deal is designed to intentionally deindustrialize and depopulate the planet. There is no fundamental difference between what the bankrupt City of London and Wall Street interests are instigating today, and what those same forces did in creating Hitler and his concentration camps. It is time to take the gloves off on this matter of historical fact, Zepp-LaRouche stated. Nor will aid alone solve these problems. A massive development program linked to China’s Belt and Road Initiative is the only way to save Yemen, Syria, and the broader regions of Africa and Southwest Asia—as the Schiller Institute has long insisted. Similarly, the United States must join that Belt and Road Initiative and work with China to develop the so-called Third World, both to pull itself out of its current economic depression and to create a new global security architecture in which peace becomes possible through development. That was always the central strategic outlook of Lyndon LaRouche, as he again stated in a Nov. 19, 2002 interview with the leading Mexican daily Excélsior in response to the question: “Were you elected President of the United States, what would your priorities be?” To which LaRouche answered: “Exactly what they are at this moment, and have been since my Spring 1946 days as a U.S. soldier returned from northern Burma, in Calcutta, India: A just new world economic order among sovereign nation-states, an order consistent with objectives of what Alexander Hamilton named the American System of political-economy.” This required approach to reversing the systemic breakdown crisis of the entire trans-Atlantic region will be one of the central issues addressed at the upcoming March 20 international conference sponsored by the Schiller Institute. And then there is the madness—the sheer policy madness—issuing from the dying system. Recall that the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) argued in a Feb. 3, 2021 report that the growth of world food production was the single greatest cause of “the loss of bio-diversity,” and that a deliberate reduction of agriculture was the best way to save the planet. Now, the British Empire’s flagship publication, The Economist, has asked in a major Feb. 28 policy piece, “Is it time for ‘ecocide’ to become an international crime?” only to answer with scarcely concealed enthusiasm: “A growing movement wants destruction of the environment to be treated like genocide and crimes against humanity.” This supposedly most heinous of crimes, “ecocide,” would then be added to 1) the atrocities committed by the Nazis, the deliberate destruction of a group of people; 2) crimes against humanity; 3) war crimes; 4) and the crime of aggression, as the only crimes that can be tried by the International Criminal Court in the Hague. A study promoting this idea is being prepared by Philippe Sands, a law professor at University College London, and Dior Fall Sow, a Senegalese jurist and former UN international prosecutor, which will be presented to the ICC in June. “It could also mark a turning-point in how the relationship between humans and the natural world is understood,” the Economist pronounced. “Ecocide” can be defined as the “extensive destruction, damage to or loss of ecosystems of a given territory,” the magazine reported. Some still believe the measure of damage should be the harm it produces to people. But others, the article reports, view this as far too anthropocentric a view. Mr. Sands, for example, “thinks that ecocide should be defined by the need to protect the environment as an end in itself. This would require it to have its own free-standing basis as a new crime, rather than being slotted under existing ones.” Sands explained: “My sense is that there is a broad recognition that the old anthropocentric assumptions may well have to be cast to one side if justice is truly to be done, and the environment given a fair degree of protection.” One would be tempted to view all of this little more than a sick joke, if it weren’t for the fact that YouTube, the Leviathan of the social media world, has decreed that any talk of election fraud in 2020 is a censurable lie; that the German Marshall Fund is demanding that anyone raising the role of windmills in the Texas energy catastrophe must be similarly silenced; and moreover that the trans-Atlantic financial system is in a breakdown crisis requiring the imposition of such lunatic policies in order to survive. So either join the battle to stop the deadly lunacy, or prepare to eat your last supper, and make it a good one. Because the British Empire intends to make eating itself a crime against humanity under the Nuremberg code.
A social media ban has been clamped down on criticisms of the Nov. 3, 2020 “perfect” U.S. general election. The next target is emerging: stating the wrong conclusions about “climate” and energy technologies. A Feb. 25 article in the Washington Post amplified an attempt by the German Marshall Fund in Washington to call out for censorship, any statements that the failure of frozen-up wind turbines in Texas triggered the calamitous loss of power and heat by 10 million people and 40 deaths in the state. The Fund hooked up with the Post to identify, in particular, Fox News’ Feb. 17 interview of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who said that the failure of nearly all the wind power in the state caused the blackouts to begin. Like other elected officials in the parts of the country most affected by the polar vortex, Abbott called for more coal-fired power plants. This, the think-tank found, was widely followed and approved on Facebook and YouTube. The paper complained: “The recent explosion of falsehoods related to the Texas power outages highlights how climate science and related topics like renewable energy are a ripe target for online propaganda. Tech companies have not been aggressive in stepping up their defenses against climate disinformation, despite increasing public pressure from environmental activists to do more.” The Marshall Fund speech police and the Post bluntly advertised their completely political motives front and center: “Researchers [from the think-tank] are especially concerned about the wind turbine claims because they weren’t completely fabricated.[!] Instead, they were manipulated to serve the political goal of undermining Democrats’ efforts to fund renewable energy sources.[!!] ‘This kind of manipulative content can be even more pernicious because it maintains an element of truth,’ wrote [Adrienne] Goldstein and Eli Weiner” of the Fund. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was quoted threatening Facebook for allowing such statements as Abbott’s: “The future of our planet is at stake, and there should be no company too big, too powerful and too opaque to be held accountable for its role in the climate crisis. Facebook is no exception.” In an astonishing slip, the Washington Post published a chart two days later—“Source, Energy Information Administration”—which showed, day by day, what happened to electricity generation in Texas from Feb. 8-20. They were exactly the facts the paper had just demanded be censored on social media as “climate disinformation” when uttered by elected officials or others. Those facts were also presented in the Feb. 23 EIR Alert Service and are in the March 5 EIR. The EIA chart, “Power Generation on the Electric Reliability Council of Texas Grid,” shows nuclear and coal-fired power (GW-hours/day) essentially constant for the entire period; wind power dropping away to near zero from late on Feb. 14th through the 15th—when the blackouts began—and remaining there until the 17th; gas power ramping up on the 14th and part of the 15th to replace the missing wind power, then dropping sharply through the 17th. The disappearance of wind turbine power triggered the Texas disaster; no other conclusion is possible from this chart, or from the one like it (from a private data analysis firm) described in the Feb. 23 EIR Daily Alert. Will we, then, soon learn that we cannot repeat these facts or present anyone else stating them, without losing access to social media communication? There is already a comprehensive ban on any questioning of the conduct or results of the 2020 general election. Will this be extended to reasoned debate on energy and other carbon-based technologies—the very basis of modern agro-industrial economy and civilization—so that opponents of the Green New Deal are banned from public speech on that subject as well? No, the entire double standard of the media, social media, and some governments, which accuse their political opponents of doing precisely what they themselves are doing, must be exposed and reversed. At issue is not only stopping the “Great Reset” or “Green Deal”; the vilification of Russia and China and the threat of global war which comes with it are based on this “double-speak.” Will the words “Belt and Road Initiative” be banned from British and U.S. media? The Schiller Institute will take this on as a major target of its full-day conference March 20, otherwise presenting cooperation for development among nations as the unique road to peace.
The creation of a world without geopolitics requires that the leaders and people of the world develop a better understanding of the enormous potential for collaboration and economic advancement that exists at present. And a clear-eyed understanding of the forces devoted to reducing the world’s population, preventing growth, and fomenting conflict as a way of achieving the first two aims. The modern British financial-intelligence empire—centered in the City of London, Wall Street, the Five Eyes intelligence agencies, and Silicon Valley—is deploying a Great Reset to prevent economic development for the future of humanity under the guise of protecting precisely that future, and it is acting to create an enemy image of the two nations in the most powerful position to oppose the Great Reset and the Anglo-American power structure acting to bring it about: Russia and China. The ongoing operations are many: the 2014 coup in Ukraine and ensuing vote by Crimea to rejoin the Russian Federation, the Russiagate hoax of the 2016 election, the oddly ineffective poisonings of the Skripals and Navalny, and the oft-repeated mantra by Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi that “all roads lead to Putin” are just some of the techniques used to prevent cooperation with Russia. The Hong Kong protests, exaggerations about Uyghur “concentration camps,” assertions about “enormous evidence” of Chinese culpability in the spread of the coronavirus, scary stories about Huawei and TikTok, and allegations of Chinese involvement in vote fraud in 2020 are examples of the techniques used against China. The planting of these stories shows the effectiveness and the intention of the British, who have deployed teams of information warfare agents through such agencies as the Integrity Initiative—discussed by Mike Robinson during the Saturday Schiller Institute roundtable—and have now been caught red-handed engaging in precisely the sorts of social media meddling they have accused the Russians of. By breaking free from the straitjacket of green ideology and monetarism, the potential for the human species is as great as the universe, to which the exciting developments on Mars direct our attention. The LaRouche Organization has posted Lyndon LaRouche’s 1994 address to the Schiller Institute—made just weeks after his parole from prison—in which he captures the essence of the power of human reason, the driving force of economic growth and human advancement. https://laroucheorganization.nationbuilder.com/20210228_larouche_show As a case study of the tension between development-destroying geopolitics and the new paradigm of economic growth, consider the case of Iraq. In an soon-to-be-published interview conducted on Sunday, Schiller Institute Southwest Asia coordinator Hussein Askary put the Feb. 25 Biden bombing in the context of the potential for the Belt and Road Initiative to transform Southwest Asia, and his own efforts to create a citizen’s movement capable of understanding and demanding the economic policies that will give them a bright future. In 2019, Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdel-Mahdi visited China with a large delegation and worked out arrangements whereby a small portion of Iraq’s oil exports could be used to secure credit from China for productive investments in such projects as ports and other major infrastructure, so desperately needed to create a full, growing economy. But the outbreak of a “color revolution” in Iraq upon Abdel-Mahdi’s return and the January 2020 murder of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi military leader Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis brought in a new government and ended, temporarily, the potential for the Iraq-China agreement. But Askary had been setting the groundwork for a popular mobilization. In November 2019 he launched the Arabic LaRouche School of Physical Economics. He helped grow an Iraqi Facebook group devoted to infrastructure from 30,000 to 280,000 members, before it was deleted by Facebook in November 2020. He has continued to organize through numerous online communities, government contacts, and through the Iraqi media, and has helped to catalyze popular demonstrations in support of the Iraq-China agreement. “Will Iraqi youth be militiamen or engineers?” Askary provocatively asks. The development of an educated and active citizenry is emphatically needed within the United States, where the present leadership structures do not have the required answers.
Don't be surprised if Big Tech begins censoring reports about the failure of "renewable" energy systems, such as windmills, as a major factor in the Texas Deep Freeze last month. The {Washington Post}, in an attack on those pointing to the failure of windmills to produce electricity as a causal factor behind the blackouts, said such claims are concerning because "they weren't completely fabricated." In other words, to protect the Green New Deal (GND), such truthful analysis must be censored!
The Biden White House on Feb. 26 announced that it would multiply the “price of carbon” by more than seven times, to $51 per ton of CO₂, for all cost-benefit analyses of industrial technologies—and was likely to more than double that again after “further analysis.” The “carbon price” set by the federal government since the Bush 43 Administration in 2004 is not a purchase price but rather the price assumed for all use of carbon in materials—energetic, chemical, industrial, agricultural—whose use can form CO₂, and is supposed to govern the valuation of bids for government contracts of all kinds. Obviously it would also then affect the valuation of industrial and agricultural products and even the valuation of capital goods and/or entire companies for investment. The Biden Administration’s proposed price announced by the Department of Energy under new Secretary Jennifer Granholm is supposed to be the price that greenhouse gas emissions impose on society. The $51/ton of CO₂ is not only seven-plus times the Trump Administration’s “price,” but double that of the Obama Administration. And it is likely soon to be adjusted to the “price” the Andrew Cuomo government of New York State adopted in 2020, which is a range of $79-125/ton. UC Santa Barbara Environmental Economics Professor Tamma Carleton responded giddily, “A new social cost of carbon can tip the scales for hundreds of policy decisions facing the federal government. Any policy, project or regulation that lowers emissions will now have a higher dollar value….” And any decision to use carbon products, a lower one. This will hit all industries, not just the energy and power production sector.
The Biden administration's strike on an alleged Iran-backed militia in Syria, in retaliation for a strike in Iraq, puts it on a course to escalate the endless and costly wars in the region launched by G.W. Bush and Obama. This is not in the interest of the U.S., but is being pushed by operatives deployed by the British Foreign Office, to keep the U.S. in these wars. These are the same networks that opposed Trump's desire for cooperation with Russia and China as the way to end these wars, before War Hawks like Pompeo and Esper brought the U.S. back under the geopolitical umbrella. To reverse the dangerous direction such imperial geopolitics are intended to create, Lyndon LaRouche put forward his 4-Power Agreement, an alliance of the sovereign states of the U.S., Russia, China and India, which is powerful enough to to defeat the war drive of the Empire.
