In an interview with China Radio International on April 8th, Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche spoke positively of yesterday’s phone call between Chinese President Xi Jinping and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. These are two important nations, and stability and progress are useful. Zepp-LaRouche expressed her agreement with Merkel’s opposition to the notion of blocs, which are a form of the geopolitical thinking that led to the two world wars of the 20th century. This stance by Merkel can have a positive impact on the rest of the EU.“Where would the world be as a whole, without the rise of China?” Zepp-LaRouche asked, pointing to the victory for mankind of bringing hundreds of millions of people out of poverty. China’s economic growth despite the Covid pandemic is an important positive development for the world. Although there is a mixed situation of China relations among the EU member states themselves, the situation with the EU bureaucracy in Brussels is that it unfortunately follows the policies of London and Washington, such as in imposing sanctions on China over Xinjiang. The EU is in a terrible state. It failed to handle the Covid crisis. It stands to gain significantly with cooperation with China. Some Europeans are still looking at China as though it were still in the Cultural Revolution, rather than after the results of the Reform and Opening Up. Since China does not pose a threat to Europe, why would Europe need the U.S. as a guarantor of its security? NATO is not providing for the security of Europe, but rather quite the opposite, by carrying out repeated troop exercises towards the borders of Russia. Confrontation is no path forward. On the Biden administration, Zepp-LaRouche said that she had seen nothing positive from the new U.S. administration with regard to Europe. Biden has continued sanctions against Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline to Europe and is pushing Europe towards an alliance against Russia and China. Europe must support its own independence. A world health system is desperately needed, as new Covid variants emerge, possibly overcoming the immunity conferred by the vaccines already developed. This requires the necessary infrastructure to support health, and the urgent development of the underdeveloped parts of the world.

This must not be tolerated! In a Thursday appearance on a podcast at China Radio International, Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche responded to a question about the April 7 phone call between Xi and Merkel, by speaking of the need for Europe to develop an independent strategic policy, rather than to see itself as a member of an anti-China or anti-Russia bloc. The President of Namibia (which neighbors South Africa) has denounced current vaccine distributions as “apartheid.” Especially with the rise of new variants of concern, the pandemic—and vulnerability to future pandemics—can only be brought to a close through an enormous upgrading of vaccine and therapeutic production and of a health and physical infrastructure platform capable of sustaining healthy human life everywhere in the world. The old, macabre joke goes: “Do you know how to make Ukrainian chicken soup? You put a bunch of Ukrainians in a pot, and then you feed them to the chickens.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, perhaps unwittingly, is placing Ukraine in a big, steaming pot, getting hotter by the minute, under the illusion that the NATO of 2021 will not behave as the Atlantic Alliance of 1956 did, in the case of Hungary. Not that NATO should even now exist: after all, even the most obsessed geopolitician will concede that the Atlantic Ocean is a long way from the Black Sea.Russian officials have almost sympathetically observed that Zelensky may not even have control over the crazies from the Ukrainian military now bombing villages near Donetsk. Sen. Vladimir Jabarov, first deputy chairman of the Federation Council’s international affairs committee, told TASS: “If ( Zelensky) thinks that NATO will agree to defend him, should he enter into a conflict with Russia, he is very wrong. May he give a call to [Georgia’s former president Mikheil] Saakashvili and ask him for advice. He will tell him how it happens.” Russian President Vladimir Putin not only made Russia’s position clear to Angela Merkel and France’s Emmanuel Macron in a phone discussion. Putin also held a phone call with Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil. Whatever else they discussed, the two presidents are known to have engaged in the type of “vaccine diplomacy” that the Schiller Institute’s Committee for the Coincidence of Opposites has encouraged. The Brazil coronavirus catastrophe, dealt with by Bolsonaro so far in the same way the doomed Prince Prospero “bid defiance to contagion” in Poe’s Masque of the Red Death, may be the single greatest crisis in that nation’s history—so far. But axioms also fall prey to plagues. A new path forward is required, and available. Yesterday, China’s Xi Jinping spoke to Germany’s Angela Merkel about his vision of economic development. He elicited her stated intention that strengthening the EU-China dialogue is beneficial to the world. Merkel said that Germany is willing to play a positive role in this regard. China’s support for El Salvador, sending more than 2 million doses of vaccine to that nation of 6.4 million, and its collaboration with Cuba in the creation of the PanCorona vaccine, one of five now being worked on in that “terrorist” nation of 11 million, is yet another example of Russia and China doing in South America what the United States, in the image of Kennedy’s Alliance for Progress and FDR’s Good Neighbor policy, might have been expected to do. The potential for a Worldwide Anti-Malthusian Alliance is also in evidence in the recent defense of the continent of Africa by India’s Minister of Power, New and Renewable Energy Raj Kumar Singh on March 31: “You have 800 million African people who do not have access to electricity. We (India) will achieve whatever has to be achieved because we get investments. What about those (African) countries?… Those countries will develop, and that will require more steel, and they will make that; it will require more cement; and they will make that…. And you can’t stop it…. They also want to build skyscrapers. They also want a high standard of living for their people.” His words echoed the words of Fred Wills at the Schiller Institute 1988 New Bretton Woods Conference, regarding the aspirations of the original 1955 Non-Aligned Movement, of which India was a leading part: “We believed in those days, and we still do, that life is the fundamental essentiality of natural processes. Life has to come into existence, life has to survive, life has to grow, life has to develop. We were sure then, and I am sure now, that the assumptions of present existence are unacceptable.” From Switzerland, Marc Chesney, head of the department of banking and finance at Zurich University, warned about a coming blowout of the financial system and called for re-introduction of bank separation. Even the Swiss GDP is now mortgaged 26,000 times over in the derivatives markets. “How can one believe that bank customers in Switzerland must cover risks for 26,000 times the national output?” Chesney also pointed out that perhaps twice the amount of financial liquidity flows into the hands of Amazon’s Jeff Bezos every day, that circulates in the hands of 1.3 billion Africans in the same 24-hour period. Not real wealth, true, but a manifestation of the true imperial/colonial nature of the financial Great Reset nonetheless. Productive credit in the trillions, flowing into the physical production necessary to rapidly assemble a multi-tier world health platform, and its coexistent water, power and transportation support capable of defeating the impending outbreaks of disease, including new strains of disease, can and must be organized. Presidents and representatives of Russia, China, and India have all asserted sovereignty and sanity in the last week. Where is the United States in all this? There must be a change in the prevailing axioms. There are two immediate ways to attack this. First, we must intensify the campaign to deploy Col. Going into its annual Spring meeting the IMF has spread worldwide disinformation by claiming the United States is the “world economic engine for 2021,” set to grow 6.5% in GDP, import the whole world’s goods, and so on. What kind of an “economic engine” does not export capital goods to industrialize the developing countries; makes no investment in building healthcare and hospital systems when they are being overwhelmed by pandemic in scores of nations; refuses even to export from its overproduction of effective vaccines? And look at what the IMF itself forecasts will happen if such a “U.S. boom” does occur, and causes inflation and higher long-term interest rates—a dangerous flow of capital out of the most affected developing nations like India and Brazil and, explosively, into the well-named “everything bubble” of American corporate and household debt!The last 18 months’ frantic liquidity-pumping by the Federal Reserve and other major central banks, combined for the past year with hyperinflationary government borrowing for non-productive “COVID relief” programs, has only made wealth concentration greater and poverty worse even in the United States and European nations. The IMF forecasts it: Over the two years 2020-21, average incomes in developing countries will have dropped by 20%, and in the “advanced countries” by 11%. That’s a booming recovery? Poverty in the United States struck nearly 10 million more people in 2020, and is forecast to rise by another 5 million people in 2021. That’s a “world economic engine”? What has to be done instead of this hyperinflationary money-printing policy, fairly cries out aloud to us. Vaccine production must be accelerated by new licensing and exported wherever necessary to developing nations where the COVID pandemic with its deadly variants is still spreading and vaccination is still negligible—this is necessary for every people’s survival. Well over 100 million people can gain new, productive employment in the United States and around the world in just the next year or two building modern hospital and healthcare systems, staffing them, and constructing the power and water supplies for them. Scores of nations’ hospital systems are now being overwhelmed by the pandemic simultaneously. Food production has to be stimulated and doubled where it can be, to stop mass starvation in nations where the pandemic has collapsed it. And this is only part of a process of creating “Tennessee Valley Authority” economic development in watersheds worldwide. The most challenging task of all calls for political action: Stop and reverse the so-called “Green New Deal” or “Great Reset,” which is sacrificing human and economic productivity, and human lives, supposedly to “save the planet” from a beneficial component of all living systems, carbon. We now have the example of India, which has stood up for developing nations against the “zero carbon” dogma which for them will bring mass death, for “advanced” countries will bring economic chaos and decline. Two Indian ministers in the past week have said “No” to the “net zero carbon” demands of the City of London and Wall Street “green finance” banks and the central banks’ carbon disclosure committees. Indian Energy Minister Raj Kumar Singh told the International Energy Agency meeting on March 31, including Joe Biden’s climate czar, John Kerry, “You have 800 million people who don’t have access to electricity. You can’t say that they have to go to net zero. They have the right to develop. They want fossil fuels for power and they must use them.” And nuclear power! The Green Deal, the Great Reset so-called, has to be crushed. A real worldwide economic recovery—based on the starting principle of ending the loss of human life to pandemic disease and famine—will produce hundreds of millions of new jobs using power-dense and advanced technologies. As charges and counter-charges proliferate, and military forces are in motion, the danger of war in eastern Ukraine is increasing daily. While blaming Russia for "malign intent", the actual cause of the tension is the geopolitical intent for regime change in Russia, which has escalated since the Maidan coup in Ukraine in February 2014. President Biden was Obama's point man in organizing that coup, and has a long record as an anti-Russian war hawk, typified by his recent admission that he believes Russian President Putin is a "killer." One of his top advisors on Russia, Michael Carpenter, has openly praised the self-avowed neo-Nazi and former top Ukrainian security official and member of parlaiment Andriy Parubiy.

In a second “No”, India’s Energy Minister Raj Kumar Singh said at an IEA meeting on climate change that “net zero” carbon is “pie in the sky” no matter when you pledge it for. At a meeting supposed to be preparatory to the COP26 in Scotland in November, Singh said, “I would call it, and I’m sorry to say this, but it is just pie in the sky. What we hear is that … 2060 is far away and if the people emit at the rate they are emitting the world won’t survive, so what are you going to do in the next five years…. You have 800 million people who don’t have access to electricity. You can’t say that they have to go to net zero. They have the right to develop, they want to build skyscrapers and have a higher standard of living; you can’t stop it.”

On the occasion of Holy Week and Easter, statesman Lyndon LaRouche more than once wrote of the mission of all mankind. It is the concept, translated as promotion of the general welfare of present and future generations, in the U.S. Constitution, and, otherwise, the notion of doing good in service of the common good.”Today his words ring out. The specifics of the “great menace” he spoke of, meaning crises of all kinds—economic, cultural, warfare—have worsened in the intervening years to the point of today’s ongoing pandemic and famines. Look at just the dimensions of the food and farm crises. One year ago April, the UN Security Council received a briefing on the world hunger situation from World Food Program Director David Beasley, who told the diplomats that, unless emergency action were taken, the world would see “famine of Biblical proportions.” That is exactly what came to pass. Look at the 10 nations Beasley singled out at that 2020 UN briefing: Yemen, Syria, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria (northern), South Sudan, Sudan, Afghanistan, Haiti, Venezuela. The total number of people in dire need of food in these combined areas right now is close to 120 million, according to the March 23, 2021 “Hunger Hotspots” report of the WFP, and UN Food and Agriculture Organization. It is so bad, in fact, that there are people in these 10 nations, plus another 20 nations, who all together lack food to such a degree, that up to 34 million people are at the point of starvation in the coming weeks. At the same time, producers of food are being pressured into mass shutdown. Farmers in the world’s highest productivity foodbelts are under impossible conditions of low prices and green dictates, that unless corrected, will result in mass food shortages. On Good Friday/Passover April 2, thousands of farmers protested in the greater Paris area, after farm demonstrations otherwise took place in Lyon and elsewhere in the weeks before. In Germany, farmers also protested in February and March in Berlin, Munich and many other major cities, including holding vigils at targeted government offices, and bringing their tractors into the streets. In India, the farm protests continue for the fifth month. But who is acting for the good? Who even knows that these unheard of, desperate situations even exist? It is the same with even the COVID-19 pandemic. Although most of the world by now does know full well, with great sorrow and loss, the impact of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, who is making an “issue” of such fundamentals for health security, as getting electricity and safe water in Africa, stopping the closure of hospitals anywhere, and building more health infrastructure on an emergency basis everywhere? Break the vaccine blockades, and go full tilt for inoculation and all measures of public health. The blackout of reality, and enforced indifference are key parts of the Green New Deal and Great Reset operations to demobilize the world into accepting mass depopulation. According to City of London/Wall Street/Silicon Valley/Big Tech and so on, you are allowed to care and comment only on saving the Earth from global warming. Nothing else. But we can break this evil spell. The Schiller Institute conference process, and publications and organizing everywhere are critical. The development programs are essential, for example, for Southwest Asia, and for the North American Belt and Road Initiative, as presented at the March 20-21 Schiller Institute international conference. Look at Africa. A week ago, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari issued a strong call for going ahead with the Lake Chad Water Transfer Project—the Transaqua plan—for the Lake Chad Basin and Central Africa—a necessary program championed for decades by LaRouche circles. Buhari met with Chad President Idriss Déby on March 27. Buhari’s press release stated, “It is imperative that there be water transfer to the Lake Chad from the Congo Basin, so that the people can resume their normal lives.” Details will be forthcoming about the next Schiller Institute international conference, planned for May 8, five weeks from now. Helga Zepp LaRouche said in conclusion of the March 21 Panel on “Southwest Asia: Pivot for War, or Peaceful Development with the New Silk Road,” after a discussion of British geopolitics, that we need, "total development for the whole Eurasian continent, including the Americas, including Africa, so that everybody has an advantage. But this needs to be put on the table as a totality. I think the lesson out of the pandemic and now the famine, is that we have to organize—and that’s what the Schiller Institute really wants to accomplish—that we put this idea of overcoming underdevelopment for everybody, for every nation, on the agenda. Increasingly, around the world, nations and individuals are asking if the United States, the Western world generally, has the moral fitness to survive. NATO is mobilizing forces for a war with Russia, and declaring itself no longer an “Atlantic” defense institution, but a global force that will confront China militarily, as well as Russia. Of course, neither Russia nor China is in any way threatening anyone outside their borders, but then, neither was Iraq, nor Libya, nor Syria, nor Yemen. And yet, Iraq and Libya and Syria, three of the most developed and productive states in Southwest Asia, have been bombed into oblivion, and the Western forces responsible have done nothing to help in reconstruction—to the contrary, Mike Pompeo’s “Caesar Act” forbids any reconstruction of Syria, and will sanction any country which does so. The result is death and starvation, the most impoverished nation on Earth, according to the UN, although Yemen is perhaps worse, and is still suffering from a foreign war of terrorist destruction armed by the U.S., which is denying it food and fuel.As for the pandemic, both the U.S. and the EU have declared that no vaccine shall leave their borders until all of their own, including the less vulnerable younger citizens, have been vaccinated. The result of this immoral and foolish policy is that conditions in some locations, like parts of Brazil, are hard to distinguish from the Dark Ages, when the Black Death wiped out a third of the European population in the 14th century, or 30 countries in Africa, Asia and Ibero America, where 270 million people face death by starvation, according to the World Food Program. And, the spread of the virus in the South means more mutations, threatening to undermine the effectiveness of the vaccines being hoarded in the North. Within the advanced sector, the political leaders are openly turning control of the economy over to the City of London and Wall Street mega-banks, which are rapidly implementing “Green Finance”—the intentional cutting of credit to fossil fuels and to most productive industry and agriculture. Why? Because these industries and farms, they say, are a “weapon of mass destruction.” They argue, as they did with Iraq’s WMD—the lie which started the genocidal wars across Southwest Asia—that carbon, the valuable element which makes our plants grow, is actually a threat to the entire planet. This belief has reached a level of mass hysteria which, if civilization survives, will appear to future generations as a madness far worse than Chicken Little believing the sky was falling. Not only is China not hoarding its vaccines, it is rapidly delivering them around the world, and building factories in the nations of the South to produce their own vaccines. What madness denounces this as “vaccine diplomacy”? What madness accuses China of genocide when they have lifted the entire nation, including the Uighur population in Xinjiang, out of poverty, to participate in building a more perfect union and a more perfect world? The Western world must confront its own economic decline and its cultural decay. It is not too late. Man is born as imago viva Dei. The creative spirit and the love of truth can be suppressed, but not destroyed, and once awoken, can work miracles. Now is the time.

Next Tuesday, April 6, based in Vienna, talks are slated to take place involving the principals of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to move things in some way out of the present danger zone, including the potential to lift the sanctions against Iran. This came out of an online meeting today, based in Vienna, among five of the original six JCPOA principals (the P-5 plus one)—China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, and Germany, without the U.S.), and Iran, hosted by the European Union, which issued a statement on the April 6 meeting as the next step. The EU said the April 6 meeting will take place, “in order to clearly identify sanctions lifting and nuclear implementation measures, including through convening meetings of the relevant expert groups.” EU officials are to confer with the U.S. separately.In the abstract, this dialogue could be good, though in practice it comes in the context of fierce conflicts stoked by the London geopolitical axis. Positive initiatives will continue to go nowhere, except to war, without the initiation of development in the greater Southwest Asia region, and other locations now devolving into horrible humanitarian catastrophes. The perspective of development, and concrete programs were put forward at the March 20-21 international Schiller Institute conference, whose dialogue process is presently expanding tremendously. Panel 3, on March 21 was titled, “The Indo-Pacific, the Caucasus, Eastern Europe and Southwest Asia: Pivots for War, or Peaceful Development with the New Silk Road.” The 10 speakers came from Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Pakistan, and elsewhere. Yesterday, Hussein Askary, EIR Arabic Editor, gave an online briefing in Arabic to an audience of over 3,000 people, mostly in Iraq—with 6,600 views within 24 hours—which focused on the development perspective, in two ways. First, as the necessary reaction to the hopeless strategic conflict situation. Secondly, Askary spoke of the meaning of “development corridors” as presented by economist statesman Lyndon LaRouche, and as distinct from transportation corridors, which are routes of trade, not development. Despite the terrible suffering, there is hope and excitement for actual development to happen. It is notable that on March 30, Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister and State Councillor, finished a week-long trip to six countries in this Southwest Asian/Persian Gulf region. At his first stop, he issued a five-point program in an interview with Saudi media, the last point of which stressed China’s commitment to economic cooperation in development projects. Speaking to Al Arabiya, Wang said, “China has signed documents on Belt and Road cooperation with 19 Middle East countries and carried out distinctive collaboration with each of them…. As it fosters a new development paradigm, China is ready to share with Middle East countries its market opportunities, work with Arab countries to actively prepare for the China-Arab states summit, promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and expand new areas of growth, such as high and new technologies….” Despite all the terrible losses and obstacles, development is finding its place on the world agenda. This is reflected in the continued circulation of the statement released March 21 at Panel 3 of the conference, by Helga Zepp LaRouche, entitled, “Declaration of China Experts from All Over the World.” There is no denying the reality of China’s commitment and record to implement development—from lifting over 800 million people out of poverty, to reacting swiftly to defend against COVID-19, and aid nations around the globe. What is the likelihood this positive, action-outlook can prevail? Zepp LaRouche addressed this yesterday in her weekly Schiller Institute webcast, after reporting on the upcoming crazed deployment by U.S. Presidential Special Envoy for Climate John Kerry to India, and to the U.A.E. and Bangladesh, to attempt to coerce them to shut down their economy, for the purpose of cutting carbon emissions to “save the planet.” She also blasted the lies about so-called human rights violations in Xinjiang, which is a geopolitical fraud aimed at destabilizing China. Zepp-LaRouche concluded her webcast: “I think people realize that this is an effort to regulate everything in the direction of a green dictatorship, which will make life impossible to billions of people. So I think this Great Reset can be defeated and it can be replaced by an alliance for development, which is needed. We need European countries and the United States, hopefully, to work with Russia, China and India, to develop Southwest Asia, to develop Africa, Latin America, and say ‘No’ to this policy of genocide. Because there you find the genocide and not in Xinjiang.”

President Joe Biden has invited forty heads of state to attend a virtual summit hosted by Washington on April 22-23, to celebrate Earth Day by ringing in a new era of global Green deindustrialization and depopulation under the guise of achieving “zero carbon emissions”—whatever that is supposed to mean—by 2050. It can’t be done, and it is not going to work. Already one of India’s top climate-change experts and Member of the PM’s Council on Climate Change, Chandrashekhar Dasgupta, has stated that India should pay lip service to the global goals, but absolutely cannot be bound by them in their own country, because they are a developing nation that must grow or perish.The same holds for Biden’s $2.2 trillion “infrastructure and jobs bill,” which the Washington Post today confided has little to do with infrastructure, and everything to do with imposing a dramatic downshift of the energy technological platform, designed to bring about a new medieval era of solar and wind energy. “The linchpin of Biden’s plan … is the creation of a national standard requiring utilities to use a specific amount of solar, wind and other renewable energy.” This, the Post chuckles, “would amount to the most sweeping federal intervention in the electricity sector in generations.” But that also can’t be done, and it’s not going to work. Already the spokesman for Edison Electric Institute, the power sector’s biggest trade association, stated that they will be glad to “review any proposed clean energy standard closely,” but they will not agree to this undermining the “affordability and reliability our customers value.” You can expect all sorts of manufacturing, trade union, and other professional and business groups to oppose the Green New Deal, as it becomes obvious that it means returning the United States to medieval technologies, and associated medieval levels of population. Do you know who is producing the reports of "human rights" violations by China in Xinjiang province against the Uyghur minority? Despite the frantic efforts of the Federal Reserve’s QE4ever program and similar financial “easing” from other runny emitters of currency in the trans-Atlantic world, the inevitable financial blowout following decades of collapse of the physical productivity of the trans-Atlantic world—a collapse made all the more astonishing and sickening when contrasted not to the past, but to what could have been the present—is driving the present would-be rulers of Olympus to promote, nakedly, policies of direct population reduction through suicidal economic policy and warfare. The just-released U.S. State Department’s 2020 “human rights” report falls all over itself making claims about “genocide” in China, claims which are unsupported by facts on the ground and for which numerous professions of agreement can no longer reliably be elicited from other nations by the threat of falling out of the U.S.’s good graces. The enormous hypocrisy, the vast disparity between, on the one hand, claims of support for human rights with, on the other, the reality of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Iran, and Yemen, this chasm can not be ignored. As Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying said today, “The U.S. has no right whatsoever to criticize China on human rights issue. Let the curtain fall on this U.S.-staged play. It’s time for U.S. politicians to wake up from their Truman Show.” The nature of the recent discussion between Macron, Merkel, and Putin, in which the necessity of adhering to the Minsk Agreements was reasserted and the potential for use of the Sputnik V vaccine was raised, is just one example of how the unipolar world is crumbling. The proposal by the President of Finland to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Helsinki Accords by bringing the U.S., China, and Russia to discuss climate and Arctic issues, while off the mark in the proposed topics, is correct in identifying the necessary participants. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made a similar reference to the formation of the OSCE coming out of the Helsinki Accords when he proposed, during the Valdai Conference in Moscow, a platform comprising all the stakeholders in the Southwest Asia-Persian Gulf-North Africa region to reach final settlements regarding Syria, Libya, Iran and the Arab Gulf states, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. Russia’s independence of action and its brilliant strategic interventions, along with China’s meteoric economic rise through policies that once characterized the United States and which China is now exporting in an increasingly worldwide way, are changing the world. Terms from London, dictated for American and European stenographers, no longer hold sway. While some trans-Atlantic stink tanks continue to disgrace themselves by peddling fantasies about the Belt and Road Initiative as a neocolonialist debt-trap, many others are realizing that they cannot pooh-pooh the enormous Chinese initiative out of existence. While some look for opportunities to smear China’s record on Covid, the reality of that nation’s vaccine exports cannot be denied. Where the U.S. offers weapons contracts and threats, Chinese firms offer infrastructure and financing. Where the U.K. brings chaos in Southwest Asia, Russia offers a path towards regional stability. The greatest flank the British have is the mass-suicide proposal known as the Great Reset, the most destructive anti-development population-reduction policy short of actual military conflict menacing the world today. For the United States and Europe not to sink into a historical condition far worse than mere irrelevance, the Great Reset policy, and the fraudulent Malthusian outlook that serves to advance it, must be defeated and replaced. But with what? The magnificent Schiller Institute Conference of March 20-21 demonstrated the quality of thoughtful, polemical, and agapic deliberation required, as well as the power of the international dynamic created in significant part through the efforts of the LaRouche movement, to shape that better future. Asked about the just-released State Department report accusing China of genocide against the Uyghur minority population in Xinjiang province, Helga Zepp-LaRouche declared that this is a "very serious matter...a complete lie." Secretary of State Blinken, as an official of the Obama administration, objected that not enough bombs were being dropped to carry out regime change in Syria. He has now endorsed the murderous sanctions policy of Trump's Secretary of State Pompeo against the Syrian people. The Soros-linked Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), together with the various Uyghur human rights groups of dissidents, sponsored a demonstration at the Chinese Embassy in Washington, calling the rally: “Call It Genocide.” Only about a dozen people showed up. The press release rehashed all the lies now being pumped out by the media whores and U.S. politicians of both parties, calling for the State Department to make the label “genocide” official, and for passage of the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act.
