President John F. Kennedy was assassinated 58 years ago today. It is a national and human tragedy that since JFK was killed, the United States, in six decades, has not embarked on any scientific crash program to achieve any fundamentally new frontier of technology, beyond those already underway under his Presidency. Those were the human exploration of Earth-Moon space; the investigation of bio-medical properties of nuclear isotopes; the expansion of revolutionary TVA water control systems to new Western dams with the intention to build the North American Water and Power Alliance “great project.”The first of these three was allowed to atrophy; the last of the three was allowed to die with President Kennedy and its other movers, his brother Robert F. Kennedy and Sen. Frank Moss. As Lyndon LaRouche and his movement have never stopped explaining, the next frontiers for crash programs are dominated by fusion power, super-hot plasma technologies for industry, and nuclear propulsion for space travel. We will never go beyond the Earth-Moon system without it. And developing the Earth-Moon system and then going beyond it, with nuclear and fusion propulsion for really rapid space travel, will be the “driver” for the scientific and technological breakthroughs of this century. For years cynics have said, “Fusion power is always 30 years away.” No! Any fundamental technological breakthrough has always been 30 years away, because we have had “leaders” who’d rather fight small wars and sleep on any real technological progress. The laser-industrial revolution promised in the 1970s already? Didn’t happen. Our Strategic Defense Initiative? Never got funded. Magnetic levitation rail corridors? Not here. You’ll find them in China. Computer controlled five-axle machine tools? Fast cargo systems between ports and rail? Didn’t try for them. Hypersonic vehicles? We slept on it for a decade or so. And now small modular nuclear reactors are the latest technological breakthrough to stay always “10-20 years away.” On behalf of a great deal of mankind, American and European leaders have been snoring the loud sleep of technological inertia for decades. But it has been clear all along that the most important frontier for science, for higher education, for the capacities of the human species, is fusion energy. Now the U.S. Congress has been told, on Nov. 17, that in August, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory—almost as a secondary by-product to their military program—approached achievement of a “burning” or self-sustaining fusion plasma, where the energy produced by the fusion process would exceed that required to ignite it. Joel Dejean, an engineer and a LaRouche Independent candidate for Congress in Houston, commented on the hearing: “What happened in August is that they achieved, with an input energy of 1.9 megajoules … the output energy from the fusion that occurred was 1.3 megajoules, or 70% of breakeven. And during the time when the tablet was contained by its inertia, and when the fusion was occurring between the deuterium and tritium, which are isotopes of hydrogen, that experiment generated over 10 quadrillion watts of power, in that few hundredths of a nanosecond. Now, this is a significant breakthrough, and they’re proceeding with upgrades in the experiments, to actually get to breakeven, where you get more power out than you put into the experiment.” But as Dr. Tammy Ma, a plasma physicist at Lawrence Livermore’s National Ignition Facility, made clear in her testimony before the House Energy Subcommittee hearing, its near-achievement of laser fusion breakeven came in the course of its ongoing scientific research into the performance of nuclear warheads. She explained that the Livermore National Lab has no development program for inertial confinement fusion energy, the technology where the breakthrough was seen! Other reports are that the scientific work itself might soon have been shut down, had it not made this surprising leap forward in fusion research—a wake-up call, an opportunity to be seized! In fact the entire nation has no fusion program with serious national funds, 41 years after Congress claimed it was going to fund such a breakthrough-oriented program in the Magnetic Fusion Energy Engineering Act of 1980. More young students are getting motivated to work on fusion energy. But they have to look to small private companies, with proprietary funding, whose work is so proprietary it’s almost classified, although there appear to be some breakthroughs being achieved there as well. This must be changed. Wake up! Fusion can be achieved! Our scientific understanding of the basic energetic process of the universe can be revolutionized through the combination of crash programs for fusion and NASA’s Moon-Mars mission. Lyndon LaRouche put down this urgent revolution as one of his “four economic laws to save the nation” in a June 8, 2014 policy paper. And that is what it must be.

The Schiller Institute (SI) has posted on its website a 30-minute video, "Afghanistan: Fulcrum for a New Paradigm". This summary, from the Nov. 13-4 SI conference, contrasts the proposal of its founder, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, for an "Operation Ibn Sina", to take the lead in a humanitarian effort to save the children of Afghanistan from hunger and lack of a health care system, which results from the refusal of the U.S. to join with other nations to rebuild the country from destruction not caused by the Taliban, but by 40 years of a U.S.-directed war. Instead of cooperating in economic development, the U.S. is also at the forefront of the Great Reset, to establish a global central banker's dictatorship, and drumming up a new war, this time against Russia and/or China.

For 58 years, the "official" story of the JFK assassination -- that he was killed by a "lone assassin", Lee Harvey Oswald -- has been protected, along with the actual perpetrators, by classification of key documents, and a blizzard of lies from government and media. The same is true of Russiagate, and numerous other crimes committed by the intelligence community, on behalf of the global financial oligarchy which deploys them. President Trump promised full declassification, but did not achieve it. Now, Joe Biden has postponed release of the remaining JFK docs until December 2022. Today, DNI Haines is presenting new docs to NATO which purportedly show Russia is preparing to invade Ukraine! The veil of secrecy must be ripped off, before it is too late!

Today the Schiller Institute posted a 7-point call, issued by Guus Berkhout, President of the CLINTEL Group, which he presented November 14th, 2021 at the Schiller Institute conference, “All Moral Resources of Humanity Have To Be Called Up: Mankind Must Be the Immortal Species!” Below is the full text, which appears under the headline, “Message to the Young People at COP26: Dear Youngsters, Please Wake Up!” Please, don’t act like a parrot. Be critical against the many false prophets, who are trying to take advantage of you and set you up against the impressive progress your parents and grandparents have realized. Bear in mind that the information these prophets tell you is one-sided and misleading. Deepen your knowledge on the facts of our climate. By doing so, you will discover that there is no evidence that points to a climate crisis. Yes, climate change exists and it is of all times. But don’t worry, the current global warming is gentle (only ca. 0.14° C per decade) and it has already made many, many positive contributions to the quality of life. Do you know that the difference between the mean annual temperature in cold Finland and warm Singapore is more than 20° C. Yet, both these countries are most successful. Mankind is very clever in adapting to very different climates! Declaring current global warming of 0.14° C per decade a catastrophe is totally out of proportion. Think about that, while you are protesting. Did your teachers ever tell you that CO₂ is a blessing for everything that lives on our planet? Far from being pollution, CO₂ is the molecule of life, providing food for plants. Without plants there would be very little animal life and no human life at all. Think about that as well, while you are protesting. Don’t confuse climate change with environmental pollution! They are two completely different phenomena. Climate change is largely caused by the primordial natural forces and environmental pollution is largely caused by human behavior. Climate change requires clever adaptation measures and environmental pollution asks for clever clean production technologies. Please, don’t waste your life by solving a problem that does not exist. Instead, put all your talents and energy in developing a productive sustainable economy. Only then can you realize enough financial means to increase the standard of living beyond the basic needs. When you go back to the unproductive past and make yourself poor, you are no longer in control of your future! History shows that living on planet Earth requires adaptation all the time. If you continue to advance science and technology, you generate new capabilities to adapt to climate change, to protect our natural environment, to conquer the universe and to take care of one another. This is the formula for creating a better world. FINALLY, DEAR YOUNGSTERS, For all of you who have been poisoned by fear of what is to come, forget the dodgy preachers of doom and gloom at COP26; they ruin your future by destroying everything your parents and grandparents have built.

The manifest failure of the COP26 summit to get the entire world to drink the Kool-Aid of the British Empire’s Malthusian Green Reset policy—thanks principally to the resistance of developing countries such as India, Nigeria, Indonesia, China and also Russia—has bought the world a little time. But only a little. The entire trans-Atlantic sector is still in the throes of a systemic breakdown crisis. Hyperinflation is still spinning out of control, now hitting food as well as energy supplies with increases of 30% per year and more. The physical economy continues to plummet, threatening the survival of entire nations. The COVID-19 pandemic is still rampaging out of control, worsened by the mass psychosis of the medievalist anti-vax cult. And the danger of U.S.-NATO geopolitical wars against Russia and China is rising by the day, deploying nuclear weapons closer and closer to Russia while the State Department explicitly threatens to take up arms against China. “We have to have a rethinking,” Helga Zepp-LaRouche demanded in her weekly international webcast on Nov. 19. "The United States, Germany and other European countries should stop this geopolitical confrontation and say: ‘We have a pandemic, we have mass famine, we have a refugee crisis of biblical dimensions, and we must join hands and build the infrastructure, hospitals, schools, industry, agriculture, in all of these countries, and then all the migrants would want to go home.’ Because most countries, and most people prefer to stay in their home country, than to be displaced in some corner of the world, where they don’t understand the language and have to suffer many aggressions. “So let’s just build infrastructure! Let’s build up Africa!” Zepp-LaRouche insisted. “This is the natural thing, and the Chinese are doing the natural things and we should stop bickering about it, because we should take a moral lesson from the Chinese in this respect,” and join with the Belt and Road Initiative which this week celebrated the eighth anniversary of its announcement in 2013. Zepp-LaRouche continued: "People should wake up, because this is a moment in history when decisions will be made. Whether mankind tumbles into a new crisis, sleepwalks into a new war, goes into a new depression; or, if we take the alternatives which exist. And they emphatically exist in the form of the Belt and Road Initiative which, China has said many times, is open for every country: for the United States, for Europe, for all. “So rather than having this geopolitical obsession, I think people should just say: We have to concentrate on the common aims of mankind, and then we can all build a beautiful future together”—with the economic, political and cultural road map developed by Lyndon LaRouche, and presented at the Schiller Institute’s just-concluded conference of Nov. 13-14.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was in Berlin yesterday to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel one more time before she retires, and to address the German Atlantic Association “NATO Talk” Conference 2021. During that speech he suggested, apparently in response to an audience question, that should the German government that’s expected to replace that of Merkel decide to opt out of NATO’s nuclear sharing program, then the estimated 20 B61 nuclear gravity bombs that are currently stored at the German Büchel air base could be moved to another country—closer to Russia. “Of course, it’s up to Germany to decide whether the nuclear arms will be deployed in this country, but there’s an alternative to this; the nuclear arms may easily end up in other European countries, including those to the east of Germany,” he said.Stoltenberg didn’t bother to venture a guess as to how Russia might respond to such a thumb-in-your-eye provocation. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded to earlier comments by Stoltenberg demanding “transparency” from Russia. She branded NATO claims as ludicrous that the alliance observes Russia’s desire to use its force and military capabilities against neighboring countries. “I would like to remind the NATO secretary general that in modern history exactly NATO member countries have been a source of aggression that has claimed millions of lives. NATO’s militarism and imperial ambitions have triggered dozens of armed conflicts, devastated states and led to the plight of civilians and millions of refugees,” she asserted. “However, these things somehow do not concern the alliance and this bloc is not going to bear responsibility for its crimes.” Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko, whose portfolio includes Russia’s relations with Europe and NATO, again made it clear that Russia is prepared to talk and negotiate, according to TASS. Grushko pointed out that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposed post-INF missile moratorium remains on the table. “The President’s initiative on reciprocal moratoriums is still in force. Moreover, it has become more topical in the current conditions. And we are convinced that healthy forces, including within NATO, who see the pernicious effects on European security of the prospects for the turning of our continent into a Cold War-style arena of confrontation, will draw conclusions and finally demonstrate the political will for continuing the dialogue on this topic,” he said. “We have repeatedly said we are ready to negotiate all other aspects linked with the implementation of this initiative, including the use of transparency and verification mechanisms.”

This fall marks the eighth anniversary of the announcement by China’s President Xi Jinping, of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), when he announced the Silk Road Economic Belt in Kazakhstan Sept. 7, 2013 and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road in a speech before the Parliament of Indonesia on Oct. 2, 2013. President Xi today addressed a symposium on the project, discussing in detail its many achievements and continuing intent, functioning as the modern-day Silk Road, for the common good of all.Helga Zepp-LaRouche, Schiller Institute President, and long known in China and internationally as the “Silk Road Lady,” for her advocacy of the concept, gave three interviews today, on the occasion of the BRI anniversary. She appeared on CGTN TV, in two interviews, one on Global Business, and another on the Dialogue Weekend program; and she was interviewed on her weekly Schiller Institute webcast, titled, “Most of the World Is Hungry for Change.” (See transcripts in this briefing.) Beginning in the early 1990s, she and her husband Lyndon LaRouche, promoted the idea of the “World Land-Bridge,” of development corridors. The latest books they issued on this were two volumes (2014 and 2018) of The New Silk Road Becomes the World Land-Bridge, along with Extending the New Silk Road to West Asia and Africa (2017). These presented details, region by region, for world economic development. In each interview today, she stressed the urgency for Western nations to rethink, and give up geopolitics and neo-colonialism, which have brought the world to the brink of nuclear war, worsening famine and persisting pandemic. Nations have been deliberately kept in poverty. These conditions, and induced strife, have produced mass migrations. She said on her webcast: “[W]e have to have a rethinking: Germany, the United States, other European countries should stop this geopolitical confrontation and say, ‘we have a pandemic, we have mass famine, we have a refugee crisis of biblical dimensions, and we must join hands and build the infrastructure, hospitals, schools, industry, agriculture, in all of these countries….’ So let’s just build infrastructure! Let’s build up Africa! This is the natural thing, and the Chinese are doing the natural things and we should stop bickering about it, because we should take a moral lesson from the Chinese in this respect.” President Xi Jinping reported that as of August 2021, some 170 nations had, in various ways, cooperated with the BRI. Now today, in terms of combatting the pandemic, 110 of these nations have received some of the 1.7 billion doses of vaccine. Zepp-LaRouche drew attention in her CGTN Global Business interview to the fact that the same principle is involved in what China calls its “Health Silk Road,” and what the Schiller Institute is campaigning for, in calling on nations to collaborate in building a world health system. This means facilities, staff, water, power, food, infrastructure. We have a moment of special opportunity now. A week ago in Glasgow, COP26 ended as FLOP26. It was a failure for its organizers—the gaggle of royals, banksters, billionaires and the like, who want nations to agree to commit suicide, in order “to save the planet.” A critical number spoke out against this in Glasgow, and their view was again restated yesterday in Abuja, Nigeria, by Foreign Minister Geoffrey Onyeama. He said simply, while standing alongside visiting U.S. Foreign Secretary Antony Blinken at their joint press conference that Nigeria is “a gas-producing country … and we’re looking to gas to help to address our energy needs.” So, he called on Blinken to do something to stop the international financial institutions from refusing to lend funding for fossil fuels development. Nigeria has the right to use its resources and develop. Now it is the time for all humanity to step forward and take the lead. Zepp-LaRouche replied to CGTN reporter Michael Wang’s question about her opinion of the BRI at a time of uncertainties in the world: “I think it is, for sure, the most important strategic initiative on the planet right now. Because you say ‘uncertainty,’ I mean, these uncertainties show, for example, in the form of a hyperinflationary tendency: You see the energy prices skyrocketing, food prices, and we may actually head towards a hyperinflationary blowout of the entire system. And at such a moment, to have the Belt and Road Initiative which focusses entirely on the physical side of the economy, can actually become the absolute important savior for the world economy as a whole. So I think the existence of the Belt and Road Initiative is the most important initiative on the planet.”

Following the failure of the Royal Family and the billionaires at COP 26 to force "voluntary" agreements to commit energy suicide by banning coal and other fossil fuels, the Schiller Institute laid out the means for reversing the descent into a new dark age, through LaRouche's Four Laws and a New Bretton Woods. Then on Tuesday, several western leaders, rather suddenly, initiated extremely important efforts to defuse the war danger, on the Poland-Belarus border, the Ukraine crisis, and the Taiwan crisis. Calls between: Putin-Xi, Putin-Macron, Merkel-Lukashenko ensued. Can we bring the world to safety?

A Tale of Two Universes: Post-Conference Evaluation of COP 26 andThe Schiller Institute’s “Immortal Species” Symposium Was last night’s eclipse of the Moon Nature’s way of characterizing the monumental failure of the lunatics gathered at the recently-deceased COP 26 Conference? As that concluded, the Schiller Institute instantly responded to and rejected the Glasgow gathering’s depraved indifference to humanity, as well as its pseudo-scientific lunacy, with a two-day conference on the theme: “Mankind Must Be The Immortal Species!” Four committees and a new campaign entitled “Operation Ibn Sina” were announced, the result of that conference’s two-day deliberations. To discuss the two alternate universes of proposed policies and actions represented by these conferences, as well as the rapidly changing international context expressed in the many discussions this past week involving world leaders, Harley Schlanger will begin with an overview, followed by other contributions. |
Lyndon LaRouche spent a great deal of effort in addressing the question of how one can free others from accepting "Axiomatically Systemic Falsehoods", which are deliberately propagated to enslave the minds of citizens. One example of such lies is that military force can defeat terrorism. As Afghanistan demonstrated, this does not work. Why not return to the Principle of the Peace of Westphalia, which is to apply the "Golden Rule", as elaborated by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, to statecraft? This ended the Thirty Years War in the 17th century in Europe, but was attacked by the Satanic Tony Blair in his drive for the war against Iraq, which led to a twenty-year war in Southwest Asia.

History making is a creative act. The civilization which survives and progresses is that which decides to break from the follies of the controlling modes of behavior which lead them toward their chosen doom, and adopt instead a new mode of thinking and acting which is in coherence with the laws of the known universe. As seen in the action of discovery of the scientist or artist, this act of leadership is not something limited to an “elite” or “chosen class”; as the founding of the American republic asserted, statecraft is a task, a duty, of the creative mind which lies, in potential, inside every human being, every citizen.Lyndon LaRouche asserted such in his 2002 writing, “The Historic Individual,” in which he said, “During each tragic moment of great crisis, every nation, every culture is gripped by the need for a sudden and profound change in its quality of leadership. Its survival then depends upon its willingness to choose a new quality of leadership which is typified by those extraordinarily exceptional individuals who stood, in retrospect like immortal souls, apart from, and above mere popular taste of their time. Throughout all the future history of mankind, as during the past, this presence, or absence of the determining role of the exceptional individual will always be, as it has always been, one of those milestones which mark those pathways of choice, toward either serenity or self-destruction, choices which close in on every culture at its moments of such great, self-inflicted peril as we face today.” It is that quality of potential leadership within the citizens themselves, as exhibited in a profound way in the four panels of the November 13—14 Schiller Institute International Conference, which will make the difference today between the end of civilization in a hyperinflationary breakdown and nuclear war, or, a righting of our moral ship to create a new paradigm of mutual development and progress. Developments on today’s political stage signal moves in both directions. As COP26 genocidalists call for the elimination of industrial development, and thus, the population, nations in Asia and Africa denounce the hypocrisy of the billionaire “jet set” and refuse to sign such a suicide pact. As the crisis as the border of Belarus and Poland threatens to escalate into general conflict targeting Russia, Merkel and Lukashenko speak for a second time this week about stabilizing the situation, pulling it back from the brink, and ensuring humanitarian aid for the thousands of people suffering in the freezing temperatures and terrible conditions. In Afghanistan, while ideologues call for the disgraced and obsolete NATO to come back in to “rebuild” the country, the “Troika-Plus” (Russia, China, the US, and Pakistan) meets in Islamabad to discuss the road toward stability in the region, and Russia leads the way by delivering its first shipment of humanitarian aid, 36 tonnes, which was guaranteed distribution to those in need by the Taliban government. What can and will determine our trajectory now is the assertion and intervention of the needed, big ideas upon which a new phase of civilization could be built. Such was seen in the intervention of a Schiller Institute representative into a discussion on tensions with China, when she raised the need for a Westphalian approach to solving conflicts on a higher plane. Such was seen, in force, in the presentations and dialogue of the recent Schiller Institute conference, of which video excerpts are being prepared to maximize and accelerate the intent, purpose, and impact of that extraordinary event. One excerpt in preparation will highlight the crisis in culture and education and Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s proposal for a resurgence of Classical education and culture worldwide, based on the best traditions and achievements of nations around the world. Such a program, though focused on the young, is the model for the kind of leadership required now, today, from each and every citizen as a creative contribution to ensuring the survival of our beautiful species. Lyndon LaRouche: “An adequate prospective leader for such a time of systemic crisis as today’s, must have devoted much of his, or her personal mental and moral development from childhood and adolescence on, to studying, and despising what prove to have been the systemic falsehoods which have become more or less generally accepted by peers, and also preceding and later generations. This impassioned awareness of widely accepted, implicitly axiomatic systemic falsehoods of assumption, as embedded in the customary practice of his, or her society, promotes in that young and maturing mind a disposition for emphasis on subject-matters pertaining to what Shelley identified as ‘profound and impassioned conceptions respecting man and nature.’” Be such a leader. Join our organizing efforts today.

The contrast between the flop of the Malthusians with the failure of their "climate summit", and the successful deliberation at the 2-day Schiller Institute conference demonstrates that there is an urgency in breaking with the present paradigm, and achieving cooperation among all leading nations. The dividing line is between Trans-Atlantic nations sticking with neoliberal, colonial policies, and geopolitical provocations, and those nations committed to cooperation for economic development. Helga developed this contrast, as it exists regarding all major crises, from addressing the humanitarian disaster facing Afghanistan; the crisis at the Poland-Belarus border; the COVID pandemic, which is surging through Europe; and dealing with hyperinflation, caused by the decision to bailout bankrupt corporations, rather than invest in developing new manufacturing centers at the frontiers of science. She called on viewers to join the Schiller Institute, at a moment when historical decisions are being made. The changes we have proposed will work; but, if these changes do not take place, the West will collapse, due to moral bankruptcy.

Four committees have been proposed by Helga Zepp-LaRouche as the springboard for a campaign of action for the advancement of proposals arrived at over the two-day Schiller Institute Conference of November 13th and 14th, “All Moral Resources of Humanity Must Be Called Up: Mankind Must Be The Immortal Species!” Those policies included: a “higher resolution” of the Afghanistan crisis, both the immediate danger of famine, and the longer-term integration of Afghanistan into a functioning “world land-bridge.” The initiative was named by Zepp-LaRouche “Operation Ibn Sina”; a “no limits to growth” science policy, expanding nuclear and thermonuclear energy production, consumption, research and development worldwide; a resurgence of classical education and culture through a modern “Convivencia” of Eastern and Western pedagogical methods, in the image of Leibniz’s proposal to establish an international string of collaborative academies; and a world collaboration to not only eradicate the danger of the coronavirus, but also to establish an international health platform, including clean water supplies and healthy food, and to extend the scientific boundaries of present-day biology, chemistry and physics in order to supply medicine with the necessary conceptual breakthroughs for the new requirements for diagnosis and treatment of disease so sorely revealed to be necessary in the wake of this still-evolving pandemic. These committees represent evolving, dynamic investigative processes, embedded in a rapidly shifting manifold of discontinuous but knowable change. For five decades, economist, statesman and thinker Lyndon LaRouche approached current history by applying a method of thinking, an epistemology, to the “hyper-geometry” of evolving political processes. In an April 1976 article entitled “Heuristic Application of the Higher Theory of Manifolds to the Current Strategical and Subsumed Tactical Situation,” Lyndon LaRouche sought to describe to his associates why “If one proposed to force existing governments to directly implement [a certain policy], the task must seem formally an impossibility. Yet, if the possibility for a rapid succession of intermediating developments is clearly understood, no such difficulty as initially appears to prevail stands in our way.” He said: “In any relatively short interval of development of a phase of society of a definite kind, a characteristic specific feature of that society, adducible from its mode of development, defines the approximate equivalent of a set of universal laws specific to that phase of that society. Consequently, in the experience of persons within that society, certain forms of activity as characterized by such rules, represent the effective measure of reality within that context. Consequently, certain features of life, so determined, have the significance of ‘fact’ under such conditions…. We might therefore properly term such ‘facts’ to be ‘practical facts,’ since their conditional validity is inseparable from the effectiveness of the kinds of actions they imply; they are called ‘facts’ essentially because the reactions they imply ‘seem to work’ within the framework of that phase of that particular society’s development. “Then, however, bring that society to a point of discontinuity, such as the present…. The society has reached the point at which it can no longer exist on the basis of the previously dominant sets of institutions. As a result, what worked as reactions to events in the past, no longer works. In a very meaningful sense, the laws of the universe have suddenly broken down insofar as relations within that society approximate a set of implied universal laws of social practice. Consequently, what was effectively a ‘fact’ in 1971 [now 50 years ago—ed.] is no longer a fact today.” At that point, the laws governing reality must change. Inversely, in LaRouche’s Dec. 19, 2004 essay, “The Dialogue of Eurasian Civilizations: Earth’s Next 50 Years,” LaRouche efficiently forecasted the next 50 years in front of mankind, 16 of which have now occurred. “Earth’s Next 50 Years” was, however, no mere “futurology.” It was a call to action, and “a call to (intellectual) arms.” The recently concluded two-day conference of the Schiller Institute, was a process within a process conceived in the image of that LaRouche-proposed 2005 strategy for global transition. The initiatives from the conference, including the creation of the four committees intended to act upon the crisis presented in the four panels at the conference, are embedded in a war for the soul of civilization. At COP26, the oligarchical despots that dared to declare that $130 trillion could be amassed from private capital in order to resolve a problem that did not exist—namely, the emission of CO₂ into the atmosphere—instead created an opening, a flank, which we must now exploit. By revealing that, were the will to do so present, trillions of dollars could be deployed for the purpose of eradicating poverty, famine, disease, and therefore, war itself, the international financial oligarchy made eloquently clear, to all those not so intimidated as to be unable to see it, their Malthusian, monstrous reality barely hidden behind the mask called “climate change.” The British expressed their displeasure at Joe Biden’s being unable to deliver what they desired for COP26, by allowing the Guardian to run a lengthy article about his apparent flatulence in the face of members of the royal family. How happy are they now, at the results of the 3-1/2 hour video conversation between Biden and Xi Jinping of China? Though the saber-rattling continues from the Pentagon and State Department, the two leaders have discussed matters, and Biden has insisted that he does not support, and that America does not support the idea of Taiwan’s independence. “One China” remains the official American policy. But the battle for a sane U.S.-China relationship is still inconclusive; a higher-manifold resolution must be supplied. The international political battlefield is fraught with danger, as can be seen in the back-and-forth border dispute between Poland and Belarus. Angela Merkel’s 50-minute phone call to Lukashenko has infuriated the Greens and other anti-Russian German and EU elements. Discussions involving France’s Emmanuel Macron and Russia’s Vladimir Putin have also sought to de-escalate the situation in Central Europe. Meanwhile, Ukraine was allowed to join EU efforts to help postpone the certification of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline by at least 6 months. The immediate consequence of this will be punitive inflation of gas prices—punitive to the citizens of Europe, as Russian representatives have pointed out. Nonetheless, why does, and will, every strategy advanced to destroy Russia and China, militarily or otherwise, only serve to significantly materially and politically destroy the Anglo-American “(shrinking) sphere of influence?” Why, in fact, must the failed but still-prevalent axioms of the international monetarist system, which died but was never buried in 2007-2008, ultimately destroy that very system itself, no matter what policy is now adopted in the short term? The reason is that the reality by which that system seemed to be governed, actually never existed; it was embedded in another, higher “manifold.” That is the manifold of physical economy which LaRouche illustrated through his “Triple Curve” heuristic graphic 25 years ago, depicting the insoluble, “explosive” contradiction between looting the physical economy and inflating the fictitious speculative monetarist bubble. There will be no admission by the “guardians of the establishment,” probably ever, that they have no idea what is actually going on. ECB President Christine Lagarde, for example, does not say that she was mistaken on how long inflation, that is, hyperinflation, will presently continue in the trans-Atlantic system. She simply says “it will last longer than we expected”—sort of like the coronavirus, now raging in Germany, Austria, and throughout Europe, as well as in Russia. Medical personnel in Austria have just warned that “war triage” could even emerge, if a completely new approach is not taken to confronting the truth of the character of the coronavirus pandemic, and to adopting the necessary public health measures and expenditures worldwide. Victory will also require breakthroughs in the sciences of biology, medicine, chemistry and physics, for which the inspiring figures of Louis Pasteur, Marie Curie and Ibn Sina, one of the greatest physicians in all human history, will serve as metaphors for the method of scientific higher hypothesis itself. “Hypothesis non fingo—”I don’t make hypotheses“—is the motto, known or unknown, conscious or instinctive, that dooms the leadership of the present time in the trans-Atlantic world. The”laws " and “facts” by means of which they have governed, no longer work. But, like the once-famous Wile E Coyote of cartoon fame, who keeps running off the side of a cliff without noting that he has actually left solid ground, the doomed, left to their own devices, only confront reality when it smacks them in the face. It is possible, however, as well as necessary, that the Schiller Institute’s commitment to the dignity of humanity, expressed through the anti-Malthusian resistance it has helped to spark as seen at Flop26, becomes the new hypothesis for action adopted by more and more people dedicated to make this higher, better world, not merely an intention, but a fact.

We are living through what Lyndon LaRouche described as a global systemic collapse, which affects every aspect of our lives. How did this happen? By looking at two case studies, we can get a sense of who is orchestrating the collapse: the energy inflation which has been caused by deliberate actions, related to the green financial bubble and the Great Reset; and the efforts by major media to deny any responsibility for their role in the regime change operation against Donald Trump which began in 2016. Tomorrow, we will present the LaRouche solution to the multitude of crises.

Three virtual discussions among leading officials in the last two days may be a sign that cooler heads have emerged, choosing diplomacy rather than war. The Biden-Xi discussion on Monday was followed by an hour-long discussion the next day between German Chancellor Merkel and Belarus President Lukashenko, and one between French President Macron and Russia's Vladimir Putin. Each one represents a change from what has been business-as-usual, leaving the realm of hostile narrative, in favor of substance. Though a promising start toward a change, the danger of new wars remains, as long as war hawks and neoliberals control governments and mass media in the Trans-Atlantic world.

As the British Empire licks its wounds over the failure of COP26, as Prince Charles and the western banking elite failed to force the developing nations of the world to commit suicide by shutting down their fossil fuels, several leaders of the western powers today took the most unusual—and most welcome—step of trying to pull back from the brink of military confrontation with Russia and China.U.S. President Joe Biden spent three and a half hours, until after midnight, in a virtual face-to-face discussion with President Xi Jinping, potentially pulling back from the saber rattling over Taiwan and collaborating in facing the world health crisis. German Chancellor Angela Merkel spent nearly an hour speaking with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, undermining the war party’s campaign to hold a color revolution against the Belarus President and provoking military action on the Poland-Belarus border. French President Emmanuel Macron spent one and three-quarter hours on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin, addressing the migrant issue on the Belarus-Poland border, but also other hotspots, including Ukraine and Libya. In all three cases, the war party was not pleased, as you will see below. It is not a coincidence that these quite sane diplomatic initiatives take place at this time. The failure of the climate-disaster hoax in Glasgow was followed by an historic Schiller Institute conference on Nov. 13-14, which addressed real solutions to the existential crisis facing mankind today, with leading speakers from around the world demonstrating that: 1) the strategic confrontation pitting the U.S. against Russia and China is both insane and avoidable; 2) the hyperinflationary explosion now underway is intentional, but can be resolved with LaRouche’s Four Laws and a new Bretton Woods conference; 3) the notion that carbon causes global warming, justifying the destruction of productive economies worldwide while ignoring mass starvation in places such as Afghanistan and Haiti, is a conscious lie; and 4) the cultural disintegration into a new Dark Age of drugs, sexual perversity, and glorified violence can, and must be, reversed through a global renaissance, drawing on the greatest periods of every nation’s cultural heritage. President Biden assured President Xi that the U.S. does not want a Cold War, will honor America’s commitment to One China, and intends to maintain regular contact between “old friends.” President Xi, while appreciating such a retreat from the war provocations and economic sabotage of the past four years—including from the Biden Cabinet—hoped there would be “concrete actions” to back up the words. “The right thing to do is to choose mutual benefit over zero-sum games or the I-win-you-lose approach,” said the Chinese President. Global TImes reported that Biden made three promises: that the U.S. would not seek to change the Chinese system; that the U.S. revitalization of alliances would not be aimed at China; and that there would be no intentional clash with China. Taking a long view of history, as Lyndon LaRouche insisted throughout his life, Xi said: “The most important event in international relations in the coming 50 years will be for China and the US to find the right way to get along. History is a fair judge.” He called for the US and China to work together, especially in addressing the global health emergency. But the international crisis has not been resolved. The danger of global war is greater than at any time since World War II. The financial breakdown is accelerating. The COVID19 pandemic has doubled over the past two weeks, not abated. The drug scourge has doubled over the past decade, while mindless politicians across the US continue legalizing the poison which is destroying their children. Yet the introduction of beauty through Classical music, which opened each of the four panels of the Schiller Institute conference, is the language of the creative spirit which unites all mankind. The Schiller Institute is increasingly seen around the world as the platform for the “heavy” ideas and the universal search for truth and beauty, both in scientific investigation and in artistic expression, which can lead mankind out of this crisis to a new paradigm of a truly human civilization. If you have not already, take the time now to watch the conference here.

In the brilliant Sunday Nov. 14 morning panel—“There Are No Limits to Growth in the Universe”—of the Schiller Institute’s just-concluded conference, half a dozen leading physicists and climatologists defied the supposed “scientific consensus.” They demonstrated that changes in Earth’s climate result from solar and galactic cycle changes; that atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide do not cause these changes; that warming is largely beneficial; and that mankind meets such changes by adaptation through new infrastructure such as sea gates and flood-control systems. These scientists courageously discredited, as completely unscientific, the Malthusian “global climate change summit” just concluded in Glasgow, and now aptly called “FLOP26.” How could anyone believe that the bankers, billionaires and royals at Glasgow cared anything about “global warming”? They repeated exactly what their Malthusian predecessors declared 50 years ago, who had never heard of “global warming” and had no idea the Earth’s temperature was headed in any direction! They demanded lower living standards, shorter lives, fewer human beings. At the Bucharest UN World Population Conference in 1974, the top Malthusians there—David Rockefeller, Club of Rome chief Aurelio Peccei, and UN official Lester Brown had never heard the golden voice of Al Gore on CO₂, or global warming. And yet, they made the same statements about reducing human living standards and human population—especially in underdeveloped nations—as the top Malthusians at Glasgow, Prince Charles, Klaus Schwab, Mark Carney, Sir Mike Bloomberg, et al. And Peccei’s Club of Rome had published, with vast funds, the book Limits to Growth in 1972, to claim that human population was overburdening the Earth’s resources and had to be reduced. Aurelio Peccei in Bucharest: “But the basic fact remains that this phenomenal multiplication of human beings is a runaway occurrence of such magnitude that incalculable strains and tensions will be injected into a system already dangerously prone to crises. Man will wipe out the wilderness…. The availability of cheap, plentiful energy—nuclear or otherwise—in the hands of an immature mass society is more likely to propel it toward disaster than any energy shortfall.” Klaus Schwab today: Infrastructure development to lengthen and improve life in developing countries “reveals the central conundrum of the combat against climate change. The same force that helps people escape from poverty and lead a decent life is the one that is destroying the livability of our planet for future generations. The emissions that lead to climate change are not just the result of a selfish generation of industrialists or Western baby boomers. They are the consequence of the desire to create a better future for oneself.” Aurelio Peccei in Limits to Growth and in Bucharest, without today’s buzzwords “climate” and “emissions,” yet “knew” that too many human beings, living too fully and well, used resources and interfered with the accumulation of great fortunes by banks and billionaires in the form of huge bubbles of debt. So he claimed these growing human populations would “ruin the planet.” That Rockefeller-funded colonialist spawn of Malthus, just like today’s billionaire-funded head of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, sadly concluded that “Third World” people should not be born, or had to die earlier. Lyndon LaRouche, his future wife Helga Zepp, and his movement declared political war on Peccei et al. in 1972, for resurrecting “Hjalmar Schacht’s fascism”—Hitler’s central banker and economics minister—which would have worked and starved millions to death with or without cyanide gas. Today the British-led Malthusian geopoliticians of the City of London and Wall Street don’t even bother to cite the fraud of “anthropogenic climate change” when they decide that millions of Afghans must die this winter because the Taliban government cannot be allowed to use Afghanistan’s reserve funds; that millions of Haitians must die because no plan of economic and scientific development for Haiti is possible—when the Schiller Institute has already designed and won support for a very powerful one! Having held this extremely influential conference, with YouTube’s attempt to keep it off the Internet having been defeated, Helga Zepp-LaRouche declared that the Schiller Institute must now “go full speed ahead” with its initiatives to force release of the Afghan funds; to build Haiti up “from charcoal to fusion energy”; to get at least the United States, China and Russia collaborating and ensure a modern healthcare system capable of fighting pandemics in every country on Earth. Every life must be valued: “Mankind Must Be the Immortal Species.”

With the failure to ram through the Glasgow "climate" summit their agenda of deindustrialization and shutting down efficient energy sources, and with inflation picking up steam, it is only natural for the unilateralists to create a big diversion. Using the refugee crisis centered on the Belarus-Polish border, NATO and EU leaders are accusing Putin and Lukashenko of provoking a humanitarian crisis. This is an example of arrogant hypocrisy, given that behind the flow of refugees is a series of humanitarian crises triggered by wars, sanctions and disastrous financial and trade policies coming from the City of London and Wall Street. For an alternative to this psychological warfare, watch the First Panel from the Nov. 13-14 Schiller Institute conference: Conference: All Moral Resources of Humanity Have To Be Called Up: Mankind Must Be the Immortal Species! | The Schiller Institute

As we forecast, the COP26 failed to do what they intended, which was to get agreement from the nations of the developing sector to give up their sovereign right to development in order to comply with the Malthusian demands made by the would-be global dictators running the show. The 2-day Schiller Institute conference, on Nov. 13-14, demonstrated that representatives from leading nations can generate, through dialogue, solutions to the multitude of crises created by the failed axioms of the unilateral world order. The presentations can be found at the schillerinstitute.com.

The International Schiller Institute Conference on Nov. 13-14, titled, “All Moral Resources of Humanity Have To Be Called Up: Mankind Must Be the Immortal Species!” began, appropriately, with soprano Lisa Bryce performing Lied by Johannes Brahms, Von ewiger Liebe, “Of Eternal Love”. Never has there been a moment in history when the very existence of civilization has been so threatened, when the power of creativity and love, those qualities which distinguish man from beast, so demanded of the world citizenry, to assure that mankind survives to carry forth that unique species created as imago viva Dei.Lyndon LaRouche, in a video clip from a speech in Germany given on July 2, 2011, which was shown at the conference, said the following: “What is there in us that is not in other living species known to us? That might, somehow, miraculously, pronounce a destiny for our human species which we grant to no other living species? The name for that specific quality, which we know in the human species, which does not exist in any other known living species? There’s a quality of creativity, which is absolutely unique to mankind. And if you’re not creative, and if you don’t understand creativity, you haven’t got a ticket to survival yet! Because creativity won’t save you, unless you use it. All you have to do is adopt a zero-growth policy, a zero-technological-growth policy: I can guarantee you, your extinction will come, delivery on time! I don’t know what the time is, but it’s soon, in terms of geological and galactic time.” Helga Zepp-LaRouche, the founder and president of the Schiller Institute, began her keynote speech with a “thought experiment,” observing: “It would actually be quite easy to solve almost any of the many problems we are confronted with today if the majority of the governments of the European nations and possibly even the United States administration would say, ‘OK, we messed up. We have to change our way of thinking. We committed a lot of mistakes.’” She referenced some of those mistakes: turning our financial system over to speculation, neglecting infrastructure and agricultural expansion, waging war for the sake of war while making Russia and China enemies rather than friends, privatizing health care, promoting ugliness and perversity as “entertainment,” and promoting fake science about the climate. But, she continued, such an honest accounting of our mistakes is unlikely to happen, “because so far, despite one policy failure after the other, the establishments of the West have shown zero capability to recognize and admit their mistakes, and make the appropriate corrections. As a consequence, it is more likely that the entire trans-Atlantic system is about to disintegrate.” But, Zepp-LaRouche stated, “We in the West may also regain the integrity and the moral stature which we need to get out of this crisis. Let us call up all the great thinkers and philosophers of our traditions to join together in this effort.” By joining with China in the greatest infrastructure development project in history, the Belt and Road Initiative, she said, we can create a new paradigm for mankind. She closed as follows: “It is therefore a challenge for all serious scientists around the world to investigate why Lyndon LaRouche was so absolutely accurate in forecasting the timing and character of the present worldwide financial monetary and economic breakdown crisis, as well as his method of physical economy, if we want to develop our planet to be livable for all human beings, and living in the future. In this spirit, let’s act on the joyous assumption that we are the uniquely creative species in the universe, that we are not Earthlings, but the potentially immortal species in the universe. Thank you.” Panel 1: “Can a Strategic Crisis Between the Major Powers Be Avoided?” Also speaking on the first panel was Ms. Chen Xiaohan, the Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament, addressing, “Major Country Relations and Global Development.” She explained: “The whole world has entered a period of turbulence and change,” but went on: “The new situation brings new opportunities, as well as challenges.” While calling for all nations, especially the major powers, to work together for the development of all nations, she also addressed the different views of “democracy” in the West and in China. She said: “As President Xi Jinping has stressed that democracy is not for decoration, nor for displaying, but for solving the problems that people need to solve. Democracy is the right of all peoples, not the monopoly of a few nations. Whether a country is democratic or not should be judged by its own people, not by the finger-pointing of a few outsiders; should be judged by the international community, not by a self-righteous few…. It is undemocratic to measure the colorful political systems of the world with a single yardstick and examine the colorful political civilizations of mankind with monotonous eyes.” Ms. Chen described the participation of the population in all layers of local, regional and national policy discussions and the choosing of the leadership. She emphasized the “Global Development Initiative” proposed by President Xi Jinping at the General Debate of the 76th session of UN General Assembly, “which called for adherence to the concept of putting development first and people first,” and “a more equal and balanced global development partnership to provide new impetus for developing countries to accelerate development.” Two leading representatives from Russia addressed the extreme tension between the U.S. and Russia, urging urgent measures to avoid war through cooperation. Ambassador Anna Evstigneeva, the Deputy Permanent Representative to the Russian Federation Mission to the UN, addressed the situation in Afghanistan, where the rapid withdrawal of U.S. forces left no one, including the Taliban, prepared to deal with the already disintegrating structure after 20 years of war. If Afghanistan is allowed to “fall into the abyss,” it could take the region with it. She proposed that the “Extended Troika,” which has the U.S., Russia, China and Pakistan working together, must act to unfreeze the funds belonging to the Afghan people, end the sanctions, and cooperate to restore the economy. Dr. Andrey Kortunov, Director General of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), asked: “Is There a Pathway for an Improved Relationship Between the U.S. and Russia?” Speaking moderately about the extreme provocations taking place on Russia’s borders by U.S. and NATO forces, Kortunov raised the issue of Friedrich Schiller’s legacy, as a poet and philosopher, calling on us all to live in our century, but not to become its creature, and also Schiller’s admonition to give people what they need rather than only what they want. The small steps toward cooperation with the Biden Administration—in arms control, non-proliferation and cyber talks—are important, he said, but there have been no breakthroughs, no change for the better. No reset is possible, as the U.S. continues to accuse Russia of many things with no basis in truth. The next few months are critical, but he sees no dramatic change until 2024, when there may be a “generational change” in the White House and the Congress. Survival from this crisis requires recognition of a “Global Commons.” Col. Richard H. Black (ret.), former Virginia State Senator and former Chief of the Army Criminal Law Division, Office of the Judge Advocate General at the Pentagon, spoke on “U.S.-China Relations: Potential for War Avoidance and Cooperation.” He reviewed the opening up of China after President Nixon’s visit in 1972, and the huge benefit to both the U.S. and China, and the world, by the rise of China, warning against the mounting anti-China hysteria. Provocations around Taiwan threaten to undermine world peace, he said, as do the wild lies about the Uighurs, where the al Qaeda-linked terrorists among the Uighurs were defeated primarily by a vast education program of young Uighurs in temporary internment camps, and the economic development of the region. Dr. George Koo, the Chairman of the Burlingame Foundation and a leading spokesman for the Chinese-American community, spoke on: “The Survival of Our World Depends on Whether the U.S. and China Can Get Along.” He went through the many attacks on China, one by one, demonstrating that they are both false and self-serving, but are also very dangerous. The FBI attacks on Chinese scientists working in the U.S. is a case of shooting ourselves in the foot. He asserted that China will certainly surpass the U.S. economically and in science and technology very soon, but that rather than containing, or even competing, the self-interest of the U.S. is to join in the Belt and Road. Former NSA analyst Kirk Wiebe reviewed the work he did with his associate Bill Binney in exposing the Russiagate hoax, “that the story that Russia hacked the Democratic National Committee was in no way corroborated by evidence.” He said that if Julian Assange and Edward Snowden had been allowed to speak to the American people, the regime-change wars would not have been supported by the population. Panel 2: The Science of Physical Economy This panel opened with a performance of a selection for Mendelssohn’s oratorio Elijah by bass Kevin Thompson accompanied by Dura Jun. The keynote was by EIR Economics Co-Editor Paul Gallagher, who developed the intentional creation of the now expanding hyperinflation, using Lyndon LaRouche’s Triple Curve Typical Collapse Function to trace the massive money printing, especially after 2008, followed by the infamous Jackson Hole bankers conference of 2019, where Mark Carney and the BlackRock group announced the “regime change” in the Western financial system. That change was formally adopted at the COP26 this month in Glasgow, where the same crew created a Western bankers’ cartel to take control over sovereign governments, in order to dictate energy, industrial and agricultural credit policies, cutting off productive investments in favor of a new green bubble, hoping to save the collapsing Western banking system for a bit longer, while wiping out the debt through a massive devaluation of the dollar. Gallagher demonstrated the inflation of 11% that led to the 2008 breakdown, followed by nearly zero inflation until 2019, and now a spike of 30% since 2019, with 125% from July to October. This fascist policy, like that of Nazi Finance Minister Hjalmar Schacht, will fail, and only implementation of Glass-Steagall can prevent the disintegration of the Western financial system. A section on Afghanistan followed, starting with Pino Arlacchi, who, in 2000-2001, as the UN drug chief, successfully negotiated with the Taliban to almost entirely shut down poppy production. The U.S. policy today, he said, appears to be to starve the population in order to achieve regime change—a crime against humanity according to international law. Amna Malik, the President of the Center of Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR), decried the humanitarian disaster unfolding in Afghanistan, demanding action, including a “donors conference” to raise the necessary funds. She pointed to the “Extended Troika” of the U.S, Russia, China and Pakistan, meeting in Islamabad on Nov. 11, calling on them to take joint emergency action. Dr. Shah Mehrabi, now a professor in the U.S. but also a Member of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Afghanistan (since 2002) and Chairman of its Audit Committee, emphasized that the situation in his country was deteriorating long before the Aug. 15 departure of the U.S. forces and the Taliban takeover. The total cutoff of all aid, which had sustained 60% of the economy during the U.S./NATO occupation, is driving the economy to “full stop.” He called for immediate cooperation with the Taliban, observing that the Taliban had made no effort to seize the funds remaining in the Central Bank—in fact, they had collected $50 million of corrupt cash in the homes of the previous government officials and turned it over to the Central Bank, giving the lie to the U.S. claim that it was not releasing the Afghan people’s money because the U.S. doesn’t trust the Taliban. Iliad Alexander Terra, Founder and President of the Council on Global Relations, said that some Afghans are so desperate that they are selling their children for food. He pointed to the fact that Afghanistan had been at war for 40 years, but that the destruction of the once-thriving region goes back to the “Great Game” between the British Empire and the Russian Empire in the 19th century. He called on the international community and the Afghani diaspora to work with the Schiller Institute to mobilize the necessary forces to save the country. Dennis Small, the EIR Ibero-American editor, revealed the vast growth of drug production and usage under “Dope, Inc.,” the banking cartel which runs the international drug trade, over the past decade. Marijuana is the largest quantity and money value drug today, due to the legalization in most of the U.S. states. Both Afghanistan and Haiti are now in a state of total collapse due to the power of Dope, Inc., with the banks not only “allowing” it, but running it, and preventing the urgently needed assistance to stop it. He showed that only an economic development policy, to provide jobs for the youth, can make it possible to crush the gangs running Haiti and other nations worldwide. Many more speakers addressed the crisis in Haiti, the war on poverty, and the fight to implement a modern health system in every country. Transcriptions of all the presentations and discussion will be available in the Nov. 26 issue of EIR. Full panel video can be found here. Panel 3: There Are No Limits to Growth in the Universe The panel opened with a performance of Beethoven’s Lied “Abendlied unter’m gestirnten Himmel” (“Evening Song Under the Starry Heavens”) by tenor John Sigerson accompanied by Margaret Greenspan. The keynote by LaRouche Organization leader Jason Ross, demonstrated that the insane “Green New Deal” and anti-development policies do not come from the mindless “leftists” and brainwashed children ranting on the streets, but from the highest levels of the oligarchy, turning economic policy over to the global banking cartels to impose this Malthusian destruction of the human race. He explained that LaRouche had long ago equated this green genocide to the story of Prometheus, who was tortured by the gods of Olympus for the “crime” of giving the power of fire to mankind. Dr. Augustinus Berkhout, Emeritus Professor of Geophysics at Delft University of Technology and a Member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Science, presented his powerful “Message to the Young People at COP26.” He pointed to the “filthy rich” oligarchs gathered in Glasgow telling the youth that their fathers and grandfathers had caused a disaster by discovering new principles of science which had increased the population at higher standards of living, lying that it was destroying the planet and destroying their future. He presented seven points under the title: “Dear Youngsters, Please Wake Up,” including the facts that CO₂ is of great benefit to the planet and to mankind while having virtually no impact on climate, and that climate and environment are different phenomena. He asserted that science itself is in crisis as a result of this fraud being peddled in our schools and in the media. Prof. Sergey Pulinets, from the Space Research Institute, Moscow and the Russian Academy of Sciences, spoke on “Earthquake Forecasting at the Frontiers of Science,” addressing both the breakthroughs in space-based techniques for earthquake forecasts, and why the “establishment” seismologists insist that earthquake forecasting is impossible. Prof. Carl Otto Weiss, Director and Professor (former) of the German Principal Institute of Meteorology, Braunschweig, Germany, exposed the repeated “forecasts” that the world would be destroyed by such and such a date, which never happened. He reviewed the history of mankind from the stone age, to the bronze age, the iron age, the hunting and gathering paradigm to the steam engine to the internal combustion engine to nuclear power and eventually fusion, demonstrating that every discovery of a new technology redefined the resources which were valuable to mankind—i.e., that there is no such thing as “limited resources.” Dr. Kelvin Kemm, a nuclear physicist and former Chairman of the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation, presented a “A COP26 Post-Mortem: End Eco-Colonialism Through Climate Truth.” He said that energy is the fundamental blood of every economy, and that the constant refrain of “scientists say carbon causes global warming” is not from scientists, but from the media and the bankers and politicians who want you to believe the lie. He noted that greenhouse gasses, by warming the planet, had made life on Earth possible, but that carbon had essentially nothing to do with it. In fact, it is scientifically obvious that warmer climates, caused by variations in the solar cycles and galactic variations, tend to cause carbon increases, not the inverse. Mike Thompson, a meteorologist who now serves as a Kansas State Senator and Chairman of the Senate Utilities Committee, said: “Stop the Weaponization of Science.” He said that Al Gore in 1997 invited meteorologists to the White House, including himself, to peddle his lie about carbon. Most of them swallowed it, but he did not, and he has investigated and promulgated the truth about Milankovitch cycles and climate ever since. Prof. Franco Battaglia, Professor of Physical Chemistry at the Univ. of Modena, Italy, and a Member of the Initiating Committee of the Petition on Anthropogenic Global Warming of June 2019, demonstrated that the Nobel Prize winners who “proved” that global warming is caused by mankind’s action, had used demonstrably fake computer models. This was proven by testing the models to see if they could “predict” earlier climate changes, such as the Roman warming and the Little Ice Age, and the models totally failed. Garbage in garbage out. See full panel here. Panel 4: The Beauty of True Human Culture The fourth panel began with a performance of the spiritual He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands, arranged by Moses Hogan and sung by alto Linda Childs and accompanied by Dura Jun. This was followed by a performance of the final movement, Agnus Dei, of Beethoven’s monumental Missa Solemnis, performed by the Schiller Institute NYC Chorus. The Mass was performed during the pandemic lockdown, so each singer recorded the part alone, joining them electronically into a united performance. The final section, Dona Nobis Pacem, Give Us Peace, was a fitting final musical contribution for this historic conference. Jacques Cheminade President of the LaRouche allied Solidarité et Progrès in France, opened the panel with a demonstration of the degeneration of Western culture through the video game and TV glorification of wanton killing, extreme violence and sexual perversity, pointing to the Game of Thrones (praised by Queen Elizabeth) and the South Korea video game Squid. He connected this to the role of H.G. Wells’ promotion of universal fascism after World War I, creating cultural pessimism. Cheminade counterpoised the cultural optimism coherent with the true nature of man. Prof. Zaher Wahab, a Professor Emeritus of Education and former Advisor to the Afghanistan Minister of Higher Education, addressed the universal crisis facing his adopted nation of the United States, and the destruction of his home country of Afghanistan. Having come to the U.S. for graduate school a half century ago, he expressed his horror and disgust at the deterioration of the country, and the “highly irrational and anti-scientific” ideology which now dominated the nation, including even the threat of nuclear war. Three educators, from the U.S., China and Germany, addressed the collapse of education in the West and contracted this to the educational system in China. Denise Rainey, a retired educator and principal in Rochester, N.Y., who spent time in China in an educational exchange program, gave a passionate description of the optimism, enthusiasm, and rigor of education in China, including close participation of the families with their children’s schooling, contrasted to the demoralized, dumbed-down education situation in the U.S. Xu Wang, the Executive Dean of Boao Culture and Creativity Institute in China, spoke on “The Aesthetic Education in China,” describing a project for 6-10 year old students to design schools from their sense of the role of education. With some building physical structures and others computer designed structures, the contest involved hundreds of students, working in teams, with amazing results. Prof. Ole Doering, PhD, a German Sinologist and Philosopher who teaches both in Germany and China, described the bright and enthusiastic student population in China, reviewing their philosophical traditions going back to Confucius, Mencius and the 12th century genius Zhu Xi, who designed the system of universal testing on philosophy, science, poetry and music as the qualifying requirements for political leadership. He compared the ideas of Confucius and Schiller as the roots we must restore to escape the current decay of culture and education. Diane Sare, who chaired the panel, also addressed the moral transformation which occurred in the Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955, and how this transformed the citizenry and the youth through participation in an action based on moral truths. She proposed a “youth corps” for today’s generation of youth, providing the emergency health care needed within the U.S. and around the world, as an uplifting moral experience to reverse the cultural decay. Helga Zepp-LaRouche concluded the conference with an appeal for Americans to learn something about other great cultures. Noting that Lyndon LaRouche wrote many articles in the 1960s warning that the “rock-drug-sex counter culture” would destroy the cognitive capacity of the population. As we see today, the libertarian “everything is allowed” has done exactly that. We must have a Renaissance which draws on the best of every culture of human history, addressing man’s relation to the universe, natural law, and beauty. She called for support for her concept of an “Ibn Sina Project” for Afghanistan and for mankind, to lift all cultures to the level of creativity and beauty.

Two paths are before the world, in particular the trans-Atlantic world of North America and Europe, which thought that it had conquered and “ended history” 30 years ago, and instead has become dominated now by London- and Wall Street-centered financial oligarchies, and fallen behind. When the Berlin Wall came down, Lyndon and Helga LaRouche set out a path of rapid Eurasian economic development by building new platforms of infrastructure, initiated by Lyndon LaRouche’s Poland agricultural development-for-peace proposal of 1988, delivered in a press conference in Berlin, later televised in his Presidential campaign. But since the bombing and fighting in the Balkans began, the British-directed path of the United States and Europe has been expanding NATO and fighting wars in less developed countries for three decades. This, while the path of development, economic and industrial, has been ignored and abandoned even in the “advanced” nations, denied to the rest. Withdrawing from those wars now, one by one, slowly, does not undo their devastation of the countries where they have been fought. Those devastating wars and neglect of economic progress have set, now, nearly 300 million migrants wandering the world in a deadly global pandemic, large numbers of them living in poverty in camps and moving tent cities; and a tiny fraction of them, at the Polish border in Belarus, have become the focus of European sanctions and actions against Belarus and Russia which are threatening war again. The same migrants, arriving at Italy’s coast, are taken in every day at European Union orders! That is geopolitical madness, born of economic stagnation outside of military industries, born of technological stagnation and anti-scientific ideology, born of no new human productivity for many decades. Over these two days, Nov. 13 and 14, the Schiller Institute’s international conference is presenting the path of development and potential, resulting peace: the economic reconstruction of the destroyed nations Afghanistan and Haiti by cooperation of the great powers America, Russia, and China; the building of modern health systems in every nation to fight pandemics; the rebuilding of our physical economic powers informed by Lyndon LaRouche’s principles; the development of individual human creativity. The conference is titled, “All Moral Resources of Humanity Have To Be Called Up: Mankind Must Be the Immortal Species!” This conference’s two days of full discussion of this work agenda, by officials, scientists, other leading experts from all over Eurasia, North America, and the developing nations, is being conducted and broadcast on the Internet for the benefit of national leaderships and to move them to cooperative development for peace. Listen to Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s concept on what is possible in Afghanistan in her conference invitation. Let’s set the right stage for the Monday videoconference of Presidents Joe Biden and Xi Jinping, so that it can be something other than a tense standoff. We need to hear the end of the shameful claims blasted out of the Glasgow climate summit for the last two weeks, that mankind is pollution upon the Earth. Those hypocritical royals, billionaires and bankers led by Prince Charles will sacrifice much of the human population to the lifestyles of a feudal oligarchy if we don’t stop them. Glasgow stank with the pessimism about humanity, bred of 50 years’ constant deindustrialization and sidelining of scientific and technological advance. Let’s clear the atmosphere of it. Join and spread the Schiller Institute conference!
