The 1967 book by the title, Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community? was the fourth and last book written by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., assassinated in 1968. This weekend, the world honors his historic leadership, on the 92nd anniversary of his birth on January 15. Dr. King in his book, addressed the question: What creates grounds for hope, when we are caught in a time of crisis? His guidance comes through to us profoundly today. This theme will be taken up Monday, January 18 (1 to 4 pm ET,) in the special Schiller Institute international web conference, “A More Perfect Union through the Coincidence of Opposites: Martin Luther King and the American Presidency.” Participants include jurists from several nations, collaborating as a Commission on Truth in Elections, individuals from U.S. states, actively opposing the subversion of the elections process, and a keynote by Schiller Institute President, Helga Zepp-LaRouche. Dennis Speed, of the Schiller Institute and The LaRouche Organization, will introduce the event, “‘Injustice Anywhere Is a Threat to Justice Everywhere’—Martin Luther King and Today’s Crisis in the American Presidency.” At present, there are multiple assaults underway, aimed at plunging the U.S. population and institutions into chaos. Look at just the most obvious. First, with under three days to go before the inauguration of Joe Biden, the media are conducting fear-mongering 24-7, over the prospect of violence in Washington, D.C., state capitals, and other sites. Precautionary measures for public safety are one thing. But what is covered up, is that the Jan. 6th mob attack on the Capitol Building and Congress was a contrived, staged event, intended as rationalization for “emergency” police-state and surveillance measures in the aftermath, in the same way as Sept. 11, 2001 was used for the Patriot Act, and in the spirit of the 1933 Reichstag Fire. Secondly, there is the bandwagon to conduct an impeachment later this week in the Senate against Donald Trump, who will be a private citizen by then. This morning, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), the impeachment manager, discussed his “trial plan” on national television, which is madness on steroids. He intends to include not just the bogus impeachment article charge of “inciting to insurrection,” but to “tell the story of this President’s attack on America.” Thirdly, there is the push for racism and maximum social conflict. For example, American “whiteness” must be ended, was the theme sounded last week in a Washington Post guest column by Hillary Clinton, the has-been former Presidential Wall Street candidate, for whom the most extreme election illegalities were perpetrated in 2016. Her column, “America, We Need To Do Some Soul Searching” charged that, thanks to Trump, “whiteness is valued at the expense of everything else.” Fourth, there is the mass shutdown of communications through social media, targeting the President of the United States and thousands of others. Among others, Twitter banned Trump forever Jan. 8, cutting off access to 88 million people. Twitter founder, billionaire Jack Dorsey said about this, in a tape that recently came out: “We are forced to act on this one account … but we are going to go way beyond this after the inauguration….” There are more lines of chaos which could be enumerated. One thing is clear: These operations do not reflect an outbreak of coincidental dastardliness. They all trace back to serve the interests of the political/financial dictatorship plotting for terminal control of what’s left of the world economy, via their green “Great Reset” power grab, and outright depopulation they know will ensue. Glenn Greenwald, investigative journalist, made a related point on this today, when he said on a Fox News interview, that the Big Tech censorship was “not some unilateral power grab” out of Silicon Valley. No. There are “corporate and government” networks behind this, acting through the major media—CNN, New York Times and the rest, conducting a pressure campaign to make the censorship happen. The immediate intended impact on the public of all these lines of chaos underway is Schrecklichkeit—unreasoning fear. The message is: “We are evil. We are all powerful. We are insane. We are attacking you. There is nothing you can do about it.” That is the message, not only to Americans, but before citizens all around the world. However, in the calm of reason, there is plenty we all can do about it. That is the grounds for hope. The Schiller Institute Jan. 18 conference will take up our tasks. Among the priorities, along with exposing the financial fascism nature of the enemy, is mobilizing to roll back the pandemic and famine. The Jan. 18 conference invitation includes an excerpt from the speech given in Talladega, Alabama on January 19, 2004 by Lyndon LaRouche, at a prayer breakfast honoring Dr. King, by the Talladega County Democratic Party. LaRouche said: “We do not face a new problem today, in one sense. We face the same problem, in principle, that Martin faced. And faced successfully. And I would propose, that in the lesson of Martin Luther King, and his life, there is something we can learn today, which brings him back to life, as if he were standing here, alive, today. There’s something special about his life, his development, which should be captured today by us, not only in addressing the problems of our nation, which are becoming terrible; but the problems of our relationship with the world as a whole.” The Jan. 18 invitation summarizes our situation today, calling for deliberation, and collaboration. “The tragic events of Jan. 6, 2021 at the United States Capitol Building have overshadowed the condition that preceded them—a long-gestating breakdown of public trust in the institutions of government, including the electoral process. This distrust is epidemic throughout the trans-Atlantic sector, and has created a strategic instability of concern to the whole world. The continuing failure to work with Russia, China, India and other nations—nations governed by ideas and in ways divergent from our own—to reverse the foolish economic conditions and failed policies that turned the COVID-19 threat into a global pandemic will, if not reversed, soon bring down each and every government of the trans-Atlantic world.” Attend the event live—and afterward. Invite others. Spread the message of hope. https://schillerinstitute.nationbuilder.com/for_a_citizens_commission_on_truth_in_elections?utm_campaign=invitation_mlk_event&utm_medium=email&utm_source=schillerinstitute
